Thank you very much for this very interesting video presentation, a very fitting memorial to the Mossman Mill and its railway. The information that was provided was fascinating and has brought everything that has happened into context. The work you have done in providing this video is very much appreciated by us all.
@@OfficialSEIC2K6 It will be one of two things probably; sold to a nearby mill (such as Mulgrave, they seem to be interested in new locos as they are continually rebuilding their older ones and even seem interested in Tully’s now unused smaller locos!) or, unfortunately sold for scrap / spare parts… I certainly hope they’re sold for use by a different mill; and they get a new life serving different sugarcane fields.
@@larry92adventure65 Unfortunately like most mills; it isn’t heritage listed. So it’s likely it may be demolished in the future like other closed mills before it but I certainly hope not… currently lots of Mossman Mill’s machinery and even trains themselves are being auctioned off for sale.
@@thecairnsrailfan that is annoying, you would think it would be heritage listed since it’s been there for over 100 years, but it would honestly cool if they turned it into a tourist attraction, and talked about the history around the Daintree area. Or even did tourist rides on the trains because it’s not really disturbing anyone being there
That's is sad for another mill has gone.
Other great job on the video
Mate.🤙

Yep… a real shame due to the importance it has for town and workers there alongside its scenic and unique rail operations!

I think the mill is heritage listed so it can’t really be touched or demolished
