It also happened in the comic book itself after he was ambushed by a group of cyborg mercenaries called the Reavers. The skulls were added to the cover for dramatic effect.
Gambit is and has always been my absolute favorite X-men character ever so his inclusion was so freaking awesome and satisfying to see! Especially since Channing freaking killed it here, which is amazing and the portrayal was spot on, from the outfit/costume to the way they showed his combat etc. but what I’m extremely happy about is the accent! It wasn’t dulled down in anyway and I mean hell…it was even played up a bit for comedic purposes but without going too silly or ridiculous as Gambit has imo always been quite funny and snarky so it tracks for me! It was one of the best theater experience I’ve ever had and since I pretty much sequestered myself from everything after that very first teaser…so I never even watched the official trailer so almost everything was a surprise for me! The BLADE cameo would have definitely been my favorite if Gambit hadn’t shown up ffs! Cause I mean like seriously tho….I absolutely freaking lost my mind when he showed up! I’m a HUGE fan of all (yes ALL 😉) of the movies! Tho obviously the third one is the least favorite, I still enjoyed it for what it was…and hey, it even had a part to play within this movie when he said he didn’t like him (Ryan) and then wade’s “you never did” that came after was in reference to how Wesley and Ryan definitely DID NOT get along on Blade Trinity so🤷♀️😉👍😅
Really? 🤨 I had zero issues with it…or atleast it didn’t stand out enough for it to take away from my enjoyment of the reaction, or since I’m 3 days late maybe they fixed it? Idk but I do have a slight issue with how loudly me guy on the right was yelling but I didn’t count that as “audio issues” so 🤷♀️ I enjoyed this regardless tho, subbed
