If youre planning on becoming synths its probably for the best to not take xeno compatibility, unless you don't intend to continually assimilate organics on your planets you probably wont have multiple organics on a planet to even take advantage of it

I had never bothered with aristocratic elite either, but then I looked at a noble job on a primitive world and realized they add stability. I've used it a few times since then, but it's effects are subtle, and probably not worth more than meritocracy unless you're invading a lot of other planets.
I used to love Eternal Vigilance, but the most I've been able to pump a citadel to is 60k, or 100k with full defense platforms, and even at that a bastion can't hold vs a corvette swarm of anything approaching equal fleet power. If you think about it, other than the +5 defense platforms it amounts to 5 repeatable techs. Nowadays I avoid anything that is basically just repeatable techs. (Vigilance, the +50% edict duration one, etc)
It would be cool if buying a whole bunch of mercenaries made them like you more during the great Kahn phase and gave you the ability to help them or be their equal in their fight

Cristian Frei - the opposite in fact! troop transports will not be targeted if they are in a fight with other viable regular targets, they follow a fleet to ensure they aren't just sitting around and vulnerable and are ready to land ASAP when the fleet has a chance to bombard a planet rather than moving to catch up later. :)
can u guys suggest some other stellaris youtuber? i've just finished the entire playlist for stellaris on this channel and i love the content, but i want more of stellaris and similar content with lathrix if possible
Not exactly like Lathrix, but Many a True Nerd has days and days of Stellaris content and currently is working on one called the Impossible Run which has all AI max difficulty, All Advanced Starts, Crises as early as they can trigger, and Max Galaxy size.

Lathrix, Xeno combatibility would be useless for the most part if your planning on making everyone synths.
