This is a series I wish to see continued in the future! I'm also super exited to play with all of these new features - once they reach the console version, that is.
Same as one of the most skilled PS5 Terratech players, I'm also looking forward to it releasing on console. I have a few ideas of making the harpoons being very effective against enemies.
@@joshmcdonald2847 I've always loved the "Junkyard Mayhem" aesthetic, especially if it has lots of explosive elements. But all of Terra Tech's factions are too clean for that, especially the last two, Better Future and Reticule Research. Too clean for my taste. Side note, one of my favorite characters in Overwatch 2 is Junkrat. I wonder why!
I hope that they add the Legion faction (Insectoid design, focus on drones, hacking and EMP in concept art) eventually, though I think trying to add working legs would be one of the bigger dev challenges
I was thinking about going back and watching some of the old Terra Tech series and here is a new one. You're freaking me out Lathrix , but in a very pleasing way.
The cogstopper (I think that was the slowing one?) would be really good for bombers and snipers and similar. Many techs seem to not notice things at a distance until the first shot lands, and then they start going everywhere trying to target and chase the culprit, so having something that locks them in place while they're unaware and allows you to easily land more shots would be nice. Techs with a lot of harpoons benefit greatly from Terratech's autofire system, specifically the bit where weapons will hold fire momentarily to desynchronize their shots. This usually just means your shots aren't all landing in one massive instant-death blob, using knockback to hold off enemies and dealing damage in a more comprehensible and cinematic way, but for the harpoons, it means they're all landing and releasing at different times and thus constantly holding the enemy in place. It helps that the first craft your tech fought was fairly light, being mostly Venture stuff. It's an interesting use of the harpoon as a direct killing strategy with other high-damage-low-range weapons (perhaps the plasma cutters, for instance) such as those flamethrowers, as provided you don't yank back too hard you can keep the enemy right where you want them to be.
One useful feature of the Hookshot is that you can drag the core of the enemy's tech away from all the parts you've already broken off of them, so you can finish them off without destroying any valuable scrap
It makes me INCREDIBLY happy to see terratech videos again. They are the reason I found you and you remained my favourite youtuber (and terratech one of my favourite games) ever since.
1:50, if you hover your mouse over a tree and press i you can see info about it which is how you're supposed to know, goes for all resources and blocks, some don't have lore though
I was just going back to watching your 2022 terratech series because I just got it on ps4. I'm glad you released this video and hope you continue this series
I started watching you play Terratech six years ago. I downloaded Terratech this month, and I referred to your build. As a result, I accumulated more than 30 hours of playing, and I have almost end the Terratech.
I have been desperately trying to remember Terratech for years. Could not remember the name. Trued a crap tonne of youtube, and google searches to no avail. Without this video being recommended to me I would still be searching. Thank you algorithm, and thank you for making this video.
I love your videos I was sick yesterday. It was very bad, but you always put a smile on my face I’ve always wanted to see you or talk to you love your videos❤🎉😊
You got me into playing terratech before I even had my own computer so many years ago. I’m sure you’ve just about run out of things to do in the game, but man I love checking in when you make another terratech video.
22 of june is 4 days before my birthday also lath im so happy to see your videos on my feed again you are the person who braught terratech to me and im in love with the game
Regarding the fusion fabricator, that'll be super handy. I've got a story mode save where I'm up to my ears with parts from all the corps except Reticule Research, to the point where I built a dedicated rig to scrap parts on the go. If this faction comes to consoles, I can put those parts to use in another manner.
This makes me somewhat hopeful for the insect/walker faction they had in the works, The Legion, I believe they're called. If I recall, the Space Junkers were payload studio's first faction concept (which would make more sense as a starting faction, in my opinion, and would explain why pretty much everyone else is immediately hostile to you).
21:15 Aha! You could have a base with harpoons, then no matter how hard they try to get away, unless they allow their blocks to be taken they will not be able to. Probably it would be good to have a bunch of extremely small harpoon turrets around the larger base so each harpoon can act independently from the rest.
Your one of my favorite TH-cam's because you produce fairly high quality videos. You also brought me happiness while I was fairly sad because a TH-camr named Captainsauce quit because his eyes where failing. Thanks for bringing this good content to the bottomless pit of garbage that is TH-cam.
The harpoons combined with the mobile SCU unit from better future seems like a devastating combo for getting batteries from your opponents. No worries of a battery explosion when all you do is pull their blocks off and send them to your inventory!
Bro please finish this playthrough, ive been patiently waiting for you to finish this save for the entire year its been since the last video abt it, please bro you are the ONLY youtuber that makes quality videos abt this game
the tusks are really powerful, because they deal a lot of damage and are relativley light, so what i did was a put a few on the front of my tech and then strapped some backwards sonic lances from venture so when i press space it boosts me forward super fast.
for the gun that stops the cogs, the yellow bubble gun, you could use a few for an air ship to stop the target and then bombard them with the bombs and such
scrappers honestly look like they're going to be focused on ripping off important parts with the harpoons and maybe the speed changing one and then running with your stolen goods to make more parts basically being full on scavengers which would be an interesting challenge
i would love to see the hooks get used to pick up and slam an enemy at the ground using a flying tech, maybe make it get hit by an anti-grav bubble to make lifting easier, maybe cog jammer so it cant attack back as much too.
I can see the possible Build inspired by Traction City London from Mortal Engine, shoot all the harpoon and cripple them until you can scoop your opponent tech into plasma drill and saws.
TBH the Hailfire Rifle is my Go-To Size 1 Long in most situations: VERY good range compared to most others in its class, easy to Spam, out ranges all Size 1 GSO guns by at least half and pairs well with the Venture mortar, which has CRAZY GOOD tracking. TBH I think the Venture and GSO mortars could stand to swap Tracking Power: Venture has a traversing base, which makes it omnidirectional while GSO mortars are fixed facing
I was wondering why there was no information about the blocks for this faction, I didn't realize it was brand new. I only got the game just a couple of weeks ago myself, so it's all new to me.
things goin okay lath? dont want to presume but normally when upload schedule takes a hit some crazy unfortunate stuff is going on, if so then hope u well and as always, lathrix is a content creator that i wish to see prosper in the future!
It HAS been a while. What this corp needs is a mobile SCU to pick up the blocks it rips off during combat. Or you can use the Venture or BF mobile SCUs, but that is mixing Corps. And they probably won't match in colours.
i think the harpoon may have finally made the sonic lance at least slightly usable which is great because its one of my favorite weapons but i could never really find a build that worked well
The reason why the flyers were flying erratically is because you took off blocks making them different then when they were designed making them work terribly or radically
Thanks for the vid, will pop on TT and check it out! 🙂 A From the Depths adventure idea for you: Duplicate techs. Your final value must be evenly split over 10 (or insert better number here) identical techs. Which forces you to be a generalist, and build techs which are effective in you hands and AI hands. Characterisation differences only, so cosmetics. But, if your tech can fly and drive, so can your duplicates, so AI differences (and primary role changes are A-ok!) :-)
I don't think he realized yet that EVERY Space Junkers block is in fact made FROM other blocks, like the wheels of his final design for a Space Junkers tech has attachment points from Hawkeye, the suspension and wheel from Venture, and wheel spikes from Geocorp
Probably, as tech on tech collisions are mostly physics based, so something like the geocorp heli blades would most certainly be strongest at lifting heavier techs
This is a series I wish to see continued in the future! I'm also super exited to play with all of these new features - once they reach the console version, that is.

LEGION
and theyd have to make different legs for everyone
Mods have done legs pretty well already so it shouldn't be too much an issue for payload to implement.

I was thinking about going back and watching some of the old Terra Tech series and here is a new one. You're freaking me out Lathrix , but in a very pleasing way.
Terratech + Lathrix = gold-pressed latinum level of content!
Great fraction first taste, Lathrix always delivers!
Hookshot - low damage to block, great salvage.
Flamer - Not so great for salvage.
Great start, very versatile XD
The cogstopper (I think that was the slowing one?) would be really good for bombers and snipers and similar. This is such a mad max-esque faction that that build looks amazing

Dude I remember watching you when I was like 9 and here you are… I use to love watching all your terratech videos
Man, I have seen your videos for years. Miss your terratech vids.

This was awesome. Totally looking forward to the full playthrough!
This is a series I'd love to see more of on the channel.
I'm starting up Terratech myself now to try these new blocks out myself.
Finally some more terratech. I'm looking forward to more terratech and terratech worlds videos in the future.
Glad to be seeing the return of terratech in a long while! And glad to see there will be a new series in the future!
I cant believe you made another terra tech video, as I also litterly just got back into it recently, and it warmed my heart to see you returning.

oh it most certainly is a series i wish to se continued in the future! thanks for the nostalgia, didn't think i'd see that base again XD
terratech is a REALLY underrated game and a series would be amazing
Yo holy shit lathland is back on terratech? HELL YEAH BABY GET THE BEER
I have been desperately trying to remember Terratech for years. Could not remember the name. Trued a crap tonne of youtube, and google searches to no avail. Without this video being recommended to me I would still be searching. Thank you algorithm, and thank you for making this video.
Always love TerraTech!
Also, for someone who loves chaos so much, you sure made a perfect recreation of an ork trukk. XD
i saw junk in the title and my mind immediately got nostalgia to GalacticJunkLeague.... god i loved that game, anyway, nice vid!
Imagine a flyer with harpoons that snatches up a tech and flings it to it's doom
I feel like little harpoon drones would make a fantastic first wave of attack to anchor a target for cog jammer and heavy cannon fire.
Then you could probably yank them off the ground and have their pieces shed off from the heavy gun fire
I am happy with the back to back TerraTech
Bro joined the white flayers
From the depths mentioned!?!??!!?!?!??!?
I adore terratech although I never played it, lathrix might have a hand in my admiration.
This game is the one that got me into your channel, really excited to see this back
Lath, do you even have to ask? Terra tech is easily your best series you have done, without a doubt! The idea of it returning would be fantastic!
Love your vids dawg literally the only reason I go on youtube anymore is to check if you posted yet
Even more TerraTec!? I can't believe I'm getting such good stuff from Lathrix! Thank you!!!
That's a cool new Corp, hope to see more of them
I love your videos I was sick yesterday. It was very bad, but you always put a smile on my face I’ve always wanted to see you or talk to you love your videos❤🎉😊
What a fun game, he surely wouldn't abandon multiple series covering it for a hundred from the depths movies!
I miss from the depths. I loved those, and have watched every season of it.
Thanks for always making great videos Lathland :D

that weapon that create the slow field can be interesting with something that is a sniper

I love the idea of a harpoon equipped helicopter type flyer 'cause if it's powerful enough it either just yoinks the blocks or picks up the enemy
You might say that the faction is.... chobblesome?
Turning on all notifications so I know when the new terra tech series starts
The harpoons combined with the mobile SCU unit from better future seems like a devastating combo for getting batteries from your opponents. No worries of a battery explosion when all you do is pull their blocks off and send them to your inventory!

Man, i need to try to make that flying bike design. The new stuff is cool too
Wow, Terran tech released warhammer Ork tech into their universe basically. It's just pure WAAAGGGHHHH mechanics for these guys.
TERRATECH
The harpoons would likely benefit heavily from large boosters in the direction you're trying to rip from
I can see the possible Build inspired by Traction City London from Mortal Engine, shoot all the harpoon and cripple them until you can scoop your opponent tech into plasma drill and saws.
that intro fight makes me wonder if there is a block you can ad to make them lead their damn shots

Wish they’d update it on console
I remember when reticule research came out it took the devs forever to put it on console.
Same
I see myself using the corporation a lot once (if) it hits consoles. I always love the rusty, salvaged apocalyptic look.
It’s great to see they are still updating the game for free.
Hey , recently they’ve added a cool sticky bombs mortar for this faction and also a weird battery
I really want to see that full playthrough.

its been soo long since I seen u and I am gad that you are back!
So, time for a playthrough where you can only gather resources until you've unlocked the Junker's Scrapper? Enemies, the real unending resource.
If you pair the harpoons with the mobile black holes or put one down you get the parts without damage
A flyer that uses harpoons could be a really cool idea I think
I'm getting some ideas to do a 40k orc based playthrough with this new faction
how did he know who attacked you when you crashed
Thanks for the vid, will pop on TT and check it out! 🙂

I just realized that their fabricator is straight up just a retextured GeoCorp scrapper...
The scrappers need Harpoon Missiles, for longer range grappling and for AA.
I feel the new truck not looking pretty kinda fits the theme of the Scrappers. 😂
can you try using the harpoons on a plane just lift the enemy into the air
Probably, as tech on tech collisions are mostly physics based, so something like the geocorp heli blades would most certainly be strongest at lifting heavier techs
@@Gracefulwarrior2124 well i would try it out but for some reason since the update i cant use the inventory it probably has to do with one of my mods
A helicopter with a fast climb speed might be really strong with the harpoons.
I was here Latrix, I was here 22seconds ago
wow, they are still adding to the original! very cool
I wouldn’t mind more terra tech :)
Harpoon enemy to lock them down, then drop the slow field to then be able to yank stuff out of them. Rinse and repeat.
Yay terratech
when we needed him the most... he returned.
