Just noticed the comment in the video of saying silicon differently, just wanted to tidbit in that silicone is actually an entirely different thing from silicon, silicon is a natural resource used in a lot of electronics, and silicone is a man made rubbery substance, using silicon as a primary component, which is why they are spelled so similarly, just spreading a bit of knowledge i dont think many know, thanks for the content all these years, hope you keep making content for years to come
Minor nitpick. Silicon (Si) is an element, not a natural resource, the natural resource would be silicates (silicon oxides). You will rarely find elemental silicon in nature. It's English name is also somewhat weird, it was first proposed as Silicium (a name which is used in a lot of other languages), -ium because it was believed to be a metal and the latin silicis for flint (because well flint is made from silicates). Silicones also aren't necessarily rubbery, they can also be resins, oils or ceramics, this is because silicon can form polymers and very stable bonds (comparable to carbon, it is in the carbon group afterall).
@ayumikuro3768 thank you for the addition, the more accurate the information the better, and I don't pass up the opportunity to learn more about something I don't know
Fun Fact, due to the Carbon like bonds, Silicon rich volcanoes can handle much more pressure, making for way larger and more violent explosions and thicker, more viscous lava.

Terratech + Lathrix = the candy store of content goodies! Terratech Worlds are just continuing that trend! I was so confused and frustrated with the game, until the intricacies and differences showed out the Terratech muscle memory. The blocks giving bonuses and reductions in reactor loads are a brilliant addition, but there needs some tweaking to make it truly hum. But I suspect they had done something to limit the larger blocks possibilities to collect bonuses, because the 2x2 weapons just highlighted 2 out of 4 possible bonus delivering blocks, even though they were mounted on 4 different blocks, that didn't give the same bonuses. Even when the blocks were giving the same bonuses, they didn't show up in the UI, like the big battery and the large weapon mount didn't give +5 to amplify, even though they are +4 and +1 amplify respectively. I think the tractor beam can be better if you put it on a "truck" type craft, where you can put multiple rock in a ben so you don't have to drive with only one rock falling off everytime inside the tractor beam.
I thought it was more like saying that this isn't a sequel in the sense that it's expected to be a direct continuation of the last one. It still is the 2nd in the terratech "franchise".

It looks super cool, though I'm not a fan of the base blocks and the tech blocks being different grids. With the original, I really liked being able to blend base and tech, placing weapons on my base or anchors on my main tech, but judging by the fact that the base blocks and the tech blocks seemed to have different sixed grids, I don't think that will be possible in the new game.
I think it's a good thing, as bases in terratech are horrifically limited in size and durability. Perhaps another way of fixing that would've beed weight, but not having to run all the vehicle physics is still a huge advantage.
Personally I didn't find the durability to be much of an issue, because an anchored base can have a lot of power generation for shields and repair fields, though I agree on the size thing. I think a better solution would have been to have a maximum size of tech that can retract fixed anchors, or maybe to have a base core block that locks your anchors in place and can't be removed if the tech is too big.@@TlalocTemporal

In the roaring streets where engines blaze, Beneath the neon's electric gaze, Metal steeds clash, a symphony of might, In the battleground of the asphalt night. Engines growl with a thunderous roar, As vehicles clash, a fierce uproar. Each one adorned in its armor of steel, In this chaotic dance, only fate will reveal. The rumble of tires, the screech of brakes, As adversaries clash, their fury awakes. Charging forth with speed, they collide, In a whirlwind of chaos, nowhere to hide. A dance of machines in a deadly ballet, With each maneuver, they vie for the day. Their headlights gleam like eyes in the dark, As they fight for supremacy, leaving their mark. Fenders bend and metal groans, In this battle zone, they're not alone. Engulfed in the frenzy, they strive to survive, In a world where only the strongest thrive. But amidst the chaos, a beauty resides, In the clash of vehicles, where courage abides. For in this spectacle of metal and might, There's a poetry to be found in the fight. So let them clash in this vehicular war, In a symphony of chaos, forevermore. For in the heart of battle, they find their grace, In the rhythm of conflict, in this vehicular race.

I’m pretty excited for this game. So far I like what I see but I hope they expand it more because it kinda just seems like other survival base builders but with a modular rover
I absolutely adored the original Terratech, and I found it through this channel, which is one of my all time favorites on this hellhole of a site. After I saw the demo, I was pretty pumped to see you take a look, also google tells me that silicon is natural while silicone is man made and uses silicon, please don't ask about silica
Please play more. I loved your original TerraTech playthrough.
I've been waiting for you to pick this up, looking forward to this
Man i've been waiting for this vid, a take on this newt form the man himself!
I just finished watching all of the earlier Terra Tech videos you made years ago and I can't wait to see if you make a series out of this one as well
In the roaring streets where engines blaze,
Beneath the neon's electric gaze,
Metal steeds clash, a symphony of might,
In the battleground of the asphalt night.
Engines growl with a thunderous roar,
As vehicles clash, a fierce uproar.
Each one adorned in its armor of steel,
In this chaotic dance, only fate will reveal.
The rumble of tires, the screech of brakes,
As adversaries clash, their fury awakes.
Charging forth with speed, they collide,
In a whirlwind of chaos, nowhere to hide.
A dance of machines in a deadly ballet,
With each maneuver, they vie for the day.
Their headlights gleam like eyes in the dark,
As they fight for supremacy, leaving their mark.
Fenders bend and metal groans,
In this battle zone, they're not alone.
Engulfed in the frenzy, they strive to survive,
In a world where only the strongest thrive.
But amidst the chaos, a beauty resides,
In the clash of vehicles, where courage abides.
For in this spectacle of metal and might,
There's a poetry to be found in the fight.
So let them clash in this vehicular war,
In a symphony of chaos, forevermore.
For in the heart of battle, they find their grace,
In the rhythm of conflict, in this vehicular race.
no way ive been watching since he first played from the depths and ive just come back. HE HAS A FIANCE NOW. LETS GOOOOO
25:05 It's it situations like this where some geology knowledge actually helps. A lot of rocks contain silicate minerals like quartz.
Great to see Terratech again
13:31 is possibly the cutest Lathrix Mishap of all time.
As soon as I heard about this game I was waiting for this video.
This looks way better couldn’t see before I thought I was going blind
I played the demo about a week ago, and it had a lot of issues. It looks like they’ve fixed a ton of it with the new version you have though. So exited for this game!
felt bad for Lathrix driving by the boulder. ouch. but you got it in the end. great video.
What a lovely way to start the week, a Lathland video!
I’m pretty excited for this game.
So far I like what I see but I hope they expand it more because it kinda just seems like other survival base builders but with a modular rover
i want to see lathrix play space engineers, i think it could fit him pretty well
Yes I am really enjoying this and hope you continue to do more on this :)
I cannot wait to watch a play through of this game!
I absolutely adored the original Terratech, and I found it through this channel, which is one of my all time favorites on this hellhole of a site.
That being said, something about this game just doesn’t hit that same spot for me. It feels like it lacks the charm of the first game. That being said, I am 100% willing to give it a shot and I’d love to see you continue to do the same! All love of course, just voicing an opinion on watching the gameplay itself.
Love the content as always, Lathrix. Keep it up!
i knew it would be comming let's go. looking forward to more of this absolute banger of a game.
The new Physics alone make me want to play this, Looks great!
Terratech is back cant wait for the crazyness you think up
I have been waiting for this video for ages
Tickled pink , of course I would like to see more and I haven't started watching this yet. Cheers Lathrix 8)
its good to be back watching Lathrix
This game looks awesome, can't wait for the full thing to come out. My only concern is the building textures and UI design, as they feel a bit out of place compared to terratech and the environment. Hopefully those get polished up before the full release!
I've watched Lathland for years, but the Terratech game hasn't always appealed to me, but I would play this, at least I would give this a solid test drive
The crate the one enemy "dropped" was just the crate that popped off of your own tech during the fight
i have been waiting for you to publish your video on this.
Wow, that looks better than expected! It seems to have taken a bit of inspiration from satisfactory, eager to see if there are infinite recource nodes!
I'm pretty sure the resources stones themselves aren't infinite, and that the only infinite source of resources are from techs
Been waiting for uploads on this and the junkers update.
Silicone is squishy, kind of like a boob implant
Honestly i like the ammo it brings somthing to yhe table that terratech didint have. I always liked having massive doomcraft, but having to worry about supplies and crafting is a interesting addition!
An upload so fast! Lath your blessing us
Yesss a new terratech video
What an amazing day
It's definitely a fun game. Lots of potential in it. Did kind of hurt watching you look for resources knowing they are ether really easy to find, (silcon in boulders, even if it's meant to be a secondary source) or not accessible without going outside the dome (phosphorus).
I look forward to the full release, and to see what chaos you make from it.
I want to see this continued in the future!
This game seems like Satisfactory with Terratech vehicles lol.
wow the oceans and rivers add so much life to the game!
i hope the terrain deformation allows me to build a cavebase
I don't think that means terraforming, rather, it's just a response to the action of removing stones and ores
@@Gracefulwarrior2124 i saw ground damage
will test when i get the game myself
yeah!!! waiting for this since the demo launched😮
45:00 you might want to check that again, the demo is still available 😊. My brother downloaded it yesterday
Haha yeah it got updated and extended shortly after I recorded the video! :)
I also now have access to the playtest until the full release so maybe will be revisiting it again in the future before then.
silicone from boulders and Quartz rock (in the middle of the lightning/blue trees usually)
this is just like if terratech and satisfactory loved eachother very much
I was waiting fir lathrix to try this gem since ive heard of it
wow im early, i loved watching old terratech so i hope this gets a series
Love your content also THE CUBE CALLS
Some of the plants I recognize from Astroneer.
I think it was actually said in a payload studio's video about TTW that Astroneer may have been the cause for some inspiration
The temporal AA ghosting combined with TH-cam's atrocious bitrate made this video really blurry/fuzzy.
Yeah and even worse watching it on a 1440p monitor since the video's only in 1080p.
Mutiplayer? Hell yeah! Looks like a great game to buddy up on
