  • A lost photo may shed new light on the mysterious death of famous aviator Amelia Earhart.
The photo, which will be featured in a new History channel special called "Amelia Earhart: The Lost Evidence," was discovered in the National Archives more than 80 years after her death.
In it, a woman - who appears to be Earhart - sits on a dock in the Marshall Islands near a man who resembles her navigator Fred Noonan.

Luis Gabriel Portugal Palacios I think what happen was that Amelia was taken by Japanese soldiers and was labeled as a spy, then tortured and killed. Documents are burned after realizing she's the famous Amelia Earhart and disposed the body into the ocean so Japan isn't given bad media coverage and make America angry for killing one of their citizens.

Sam Perez Yeah, probably accused them of being spies. Strange for an aircraft to be out that far. Probably tortured to death then thrown into the ocean or an unmarked grave. Sad.

William Daniels Fun fact: During World War II 9 men were shot down from their planes by the Japanese but survived. These 8 men were tortured, beheaded and after they died, eaten. George H.W Bush was the only one not to be captured.

Maybe that's also what happened to her, maybe she didn't run out of fuel and instead the Japanese military shot her plane causing her to crash into the Pacific ocean and were held captive... just a theory though 😂

They found remains on the island next to the one she was supposed to make a refueling stop at next right after she disappeared unfortunately the foreign doctors that examined them at the time said they were not the right size to be either her or Noonan but much more recently scientists and doctors have studied the pictures taken of the bones and recalculated the measurement and found that they fit Amelia perfectly plus there was also freckle cream found with the remains which she was famous for wearing sooo what happened was she crashed on an uninhabited island nearby the sland she was supposed to stop at for fuel. Noonan most likely died on impact and Amelia, injured, got onto the island, made a fire and sat down to camp for the night. Unfortunately, the island where her/these scattered bones were found, near remains of a fire, is home to thousands of giant coconut crabs who hunt at night, have voracious appetites and can smell blood in the air. They then come running to fight over the fresh kill tearing it apart and running with their piece sometimes straight back into their underground burrows which is what they did to her... She spent her last night alive being torn apart by giant coconut crabs with pincers that have the same force as a lions bite and have such a voracious appetite they are known to eat even eachother and THEMSELVES! It is also highly likely that many more of her bones are hidden deep in very old coconut crabs dens underground!

Just as ex-Treasury agent and A. Earhart researcher Les Kinney found the now famous Jaluit dock photo because it was misplaced by ONI agents in the National Archives, so was the Japanese blogger's loose non-dated photo misplaced in a non-binded 1935 photo album. So what do the Marshallese say? In July 2017, the Marshallese authorities (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) have acknowledged the Jabor Dock on Jaluit Atoll, depicted in the classified ONI photo, was built by the Japanese in 1936, making the photo VALID evidence that A. Earhart and F. Noonan were on Jaluit Island in the summer of 1937.

The photo is far too unclear even to be considered as evidence. Two or three similar photos? Maybe, but one grainy image of two people who, from a considerable distance slightly resemble two others, but whose visages are cloaked in shadow or bad angles will never be enough. I say, dismiss the photo altogether.

1937. Tiny remote Atoll called Jailut. How many western women would be sitting on a jetty in that remote part of the world in 1937? In the vicinity of Howland where she was headed. No modern day tech to guide you, "we must be on you but cannot see you" radio's Amelia at 1,000 feet. Distress calls continued from Earhart's plane for several days afterwards. That part of the South Pacific is littered with atolls. Amelia reports being "low on gas". It is quite feasible to think that she landed the plane on a reef. The only logical and seeable place to land a plane. A piece of Amelia's plane has been found on Nikumaroro. If the above picture is authentic, who took it? And how did it end up in "archives"? It is also feasible that Amelia and Fred were castaways for a short time or long time. But did the Japanese find them before the US Navy did and take them captive and the plane, as this picture suggests? [if authentic]. Time will give us more clues.

If this photo of Amelia Earhart is real. Why would the Japanese government go to great lengths to cover this up. what was their purpose for the cover-up and if Earhart actually lived what was their purpose for keeping her and her co-pilot prisoners. Was it for financial gain or was it for something else entirely?

I'd like to think they were abducted by aliens still. Adds some fun to this otherwise boring mystery.
