A WW2 Bomber pilot was operating on the West Coast of Papua New Guinea. In the area, he was based he discovered a wreck of a Lockheed 12A
in dense bush. It had been there for a long time. The pilot removed an engine ID plate and on returning to Australia discovered it was a perfect match to one of Earhart's engines. The pilot is still alive today and has launched 2 expeditions and a third following to find the wreck. It is right on the west coast of PNG. It means if it is Earhart's aircraft. They turned around and flew the trackback to Borneo.

That's all well and good, but Earhart was flying an L-10 E and though the engine was a perfect match to Earhart's plane, it's the engine that was replaced after her crash in Hawaii courtesy of time constraints with the aircraft found in PNG being a US Army Air Force example used for the transfer of pilots from base to base and nobody was killed in the particular crash you refer to in your post source: US Air Force records

not true, they were heard from, it has come to light that her radio messages did reach people after they crash landed on a reef, she could only transmit at low tide and her navigator was injured in the crash landing, i beleive they died on the island they landed near, and over time the plane was swept deeper into the ocean and off the reef.

Fred Noonan's bones were found in the 1980s in a coconut crab den on an island in the Pacific (the island was renamed since), the bones showed signs that the individual was a bodybuilder and had the broken pelvis that Noonan said he suffered in the crash and he also said that Amelia Earhart's last words were "save yourself Fred" when the rising waters of the lagoon further hampered his efforts to save her, something he regretted until his dying day (December 31,1944 according to the flight log/journal kept by Noonan and discovered with his bones, since given to his surviving relatives).

Boi, that plane is long gone. I'm guessing that it is somewhere in the ocean.

The stomachs of the plane came of and that was used to keep the plane up in the air. Amelia almost made it around the world but she didn’t because she died near the Pacific Ocean no one knows if she’s still alive but the last time she was seen was right before takeoff

If you look at the back of the plane taking off you can see smoke coming out. She lost contact because of the cord on the bottom of the plane let her hear them. The cord fell off leaving Amelia not being able to hear them. The station could hear her though.
