Ingalls Third Street House De Smet Driving Where and Why

This is part of a series of videos where I start from a common spot in a Laura Ingalls Wilder homesite town. Then I show you where to find the Ingalls family's final home in De Smet. They moved there after they sold the Homestead. The home was built one addition at a time and Pa and Ma lived here until they died. Mary lived there until shortly before hers.

My daughter and granddaughter and I visited the Ingalls house and other attractions in DeSmet in 2014. It was a lovely girls road trip from Idaho and we all enjoyed seeing where the Ingalls family had lived and breathed those many years ago.

I've been to Ricky Ridge and the cemetery where all 3 are buried. I was even allowed to bring home a tree stick that fell on the ground 😁
