Once again, a thorough and entertaining free CG review... I love them ! The last time we were in Death Valley (2014) the wind was blowing a constant 60 mph. When we pulled up to check in at the CG, Yoly couldn't open the door on the truck simply due to wind pressure against the large area of the door panel. I had to park the truck rear to the wind in order for her to get out. It was so windy that we bailed on our reservation and kept going west to Lone Pine that night.
I am sooo glad I discovered your channel! Love how informative your reviews are for the locations you highlight. This information is amazing, can’t thank you enough!
Hi guys! Another great review, Jenni! We continue to be very impressed with your very helpful and thorough reviews. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing! Safe travels. :))
Did y'all hear about the Death Valley cattle rancher who lost all his cattle? Yep, it got so ho' corn growing in field started popping. Cyows saw it, thought it was snow and froze to death.
Hay! You guys should head west to the other side of Death Valley, the Cali side and climb mtn rose! They have the old kiln ovens in the parking lot as well as awesome views of Death Valley.
We are already out of the area, our videos are about a month behind right now so we're way up north in California now haha, but we'll have to check it out next time we're in the area
Nice video Jenny , My wife and I enjoy informative videos like this . A lot of full timers videos are all aoubt them , all you hear from them is I - I - I , Me - Me - Me , My - My - My etc... They just get on video and think out loud . So we don't watch their videos , there is no substance to them . We enjoyed the fact that you posted locations to the camp , told us about the camp , gave pros and cons on it , as well as telling us a little about the area and where to find food , water and fuel . Very well done video . Thanks for sharing . JT Sheridan , Wyoming
I know (because I'm a fan) you probably wouldn't have stayed there if you didn't have a cell signal. But that's the only question I have after this extremely thorough review that even included whether the Post Office accepts general delivery! You really ticked every box! If you could add the provider and upload/download speeds to your list of things to include in your reviews, please :) that would make an awesome review even awesomer!
Thank you for the very thoughtful criticism, I thought I had included the cell signal and provider but it must have slipped though (I had it written down to mention but didn't put it in the video I guess haha). Things I miss are always included in the blog post for the site review and I know I miss things sometimes haha. You can always check there, but for this particular campground review the signal was 1 bar of 4G LTE Verizon coverage that was so weak it was hard to work at all. Thanks for pointing it out, I'll pin a comment to the top with that info in it :)
Fate Unbound I skimmed the blog, too... if it's there, I missed it (my bad). It's possible to have 5 bars and a crappy signal, and vice-versa. So doing the speed test is great info to include. Thanks again! Great channel and great content!
Good advice, I may start doing a screenshot of the speed test while were there and start adding that when I mention signal but at least include it in the blog post (we do run speed tests to see if we have to go into town to upload or not). These site reviews come out about a month or so after we've already left so it's not something I can add now
I drove through Beatty once and it looked a little scary, just wondering how long you stayed and whether you felt pretty safe. I’ll be going back before the summer is over. Thanks!
Fate Unbound... I forgot to mention that we just erected a historical monument dedicated to DE Anza Trail at the Hamilton Museum... I posted a video, take a look.
Sounds like a great spot to base out of to beat the heat of Death Valley! It was so hot when we were camped at Furnace Creek our Labrador threw up... 😖 and she would be in that pond in a heartbeat. I assume it was clean water? Thanks for the info!
It wasn't too hot while we were there, highs in the 70's (compaired to over 100 in DV) and the pond was very nice. People went swimming in it while we were there so I'm assuming its clean but don't know for sure. Sweetie got to play in it too haha
No we do not. We slept with our windows closed because lows were in the 40's at night. I don't include the weather while we were there because it will change throughout the year and I don't want anyone viewing it in a few months to think it'll be comfortable in the middle of summer
I will never include the weather while we were there or the fuel prices either. Both fluctuate too much throughout the year for it mean anything if I include them.

Donkeys!!!! Oh yes this is on my list :)
New to your channel and really enjoy your videos, amazing job and great information.
Tina
Thank you! The Donkeys were pretty cool!
Donkeys are awesome!
Yes they are! HEEHAW!
sounds great, as usual. Maybe I missed this, but did you mention anything about emptying trash?
No I did not, we simply threw it away at the RV park when we filled our fresh tank and dumped our gray tanks.

What fun! I would love to have donkeys at my campsite!
We loved it! They were so cool to watch!
I agree; much better than having various fowl and their messes!
Thanks for sharing your awesome video love yah jenni
Thank you Penny!

Thanks for sharing... What was the date of your camping trip here?
Have you had a chance to see any Historical Monuments?
We were there from March 30th through April 12th and we did not visit any Historical Monuments, are there any in this area you recommend?
Fate Unbound... I'm in a historical society called E Clampus Vitus
If you check their website you can find many in many places.
Fate Unbound... I forgot to mention that we just erected a historical monument dedicated to DE Anza Trail at the Hamilton Museum... I posted a video, take a look.
Did you guys make it into Titus Canyon? The long dirt road entry point is just outside Beatty off Hwy. 374
We did not, we work a lot and only explore 1-2 times a week
Thanks Jenny, great review
Thank you!

Fate Unbound well if Sweetie went in and was ok then I’ll sure Lexie would be fine!
I'm sure Lexie would be just fine, and it's nice and gradual getting in the water so it was perfect for Sweetie who just likes to splash around haha
Since you close your windows at night, do you run your generator and A/C, or is the vent fan enough? Night time temps please.
No we do not. We slept with our windows closed because lows were in the 40's at night. I don't include the weather while we were there because it will change throughout the year and I don't want anyone viewing it in a few months to think it'll be comfortable in the middle of summer
Thanks for the review do you recall if campfires were allowed (Beatty, Nevada)?
Thanks for the great info pretty lady, thumbs up...
Thank you!
Do you guys have an Instagram?!
Good info, Jenni. Do you guys use a cell signal booster?
We do not but we've been talking about getting one lately. They're just super expensive so we're dragging our feet about getting one haha
Same here. :)
Can you set up a tent here ? I'm planning to go by car.
I believe so, there were a few car campers here that just stayed the night but there are no signs saying no tent campers
We stayed there 2021
Are you guys still there, is it hot?
We are not there anymore, we were there in early April
Please always the weather..and gas price.
I will never include the weather while we were there or the fuel prices either. Both fluctuate too much throughout the year for it mean anything if I include them.
Happy Birthday Jennie. Did you know what female donkeys are called? Ha ha (Jennys)
Haha, thank you! That's pretty cute
Thank for the info. You are pretty and smart. A great combination. ( - :
