Very informative, amazing microphone that cancels wind gusts of 10 mph. I'm coming up there this year in my van on my national parks camping and fishing tour. And next year, again. Fortunately for me, I love wind. The more the better.
You absolutely did your home work ! As a local very frequent fisherman of Lake Mead that kayaks your video was one of the most informative that I have seen , and i already knew everything you mentioned. Great Clip.
I know I'm late to the party, but so glad you posted this video. We are just starting to plan/research/save for our first RV and I've added this campground to our list to "practice" boondocking at since we live near Red Rock. Thank you!
Check with the park ranger about algae levels which is deadly for dogs. My buddy Chris was out there in Feb 2018 and his dog got sick from the algae and unfortunately passed.
Oh I am so sorry to read that... there are a lot of lakes in Oregon that have had that blue green algae too, so we avoid those. Thanks for the information!
Excellent!! You described the area very clearly, gave us helpful details and kept it short and to the point. Nicely done. Thank you for this video. : ))
Great review, very thorough. Now I know everything I need to know about Lake Mead Government Wash campgrounds. I look forward to future campground reviews from you.Thumbs up pretty lady...
Love your boondocking videos of the southwest I can't wait to head out that way myself from about as far east coast as you can get...eastern long island NY:) Keep up the good work!
Thank you I'm glad they're useful to you! Wow that really is on the opposite side of the country! It is beautiful out here, we couldn't wait to get out west either when we first hit the road. We are very much loving the desert.
Great review, you should consider doing a printed review booklet on the site you have been to, I know I would buy it for me and rv friends. Because its easier to go over a printed book than having to get internet access on the road.
The comment on fees was a bit confusing. Government Wash is considered a dispersed camping area and there is no onsite fee. The $20 fee without a park pass is simply the regular fee to enter the park that is paid at the entry booth.
Why thank you Dave! I try to keep these as concise as possible. And no Butters definitely does not go near the water. She's a typical cat when it comes to water and absolutely hates getting wet.
Nice job, Jenni. Did you two make it to Vegas? Not my scene though I was there waaayyy back in the 70's so I'm sure Vegas has changed a lot. I have family that live there, too, so staying at Government Wash would be super convenient.
We have the exact same rig we bought last year and are also fulltime rvong traveling doing the same similar tjing to you all. Funny thing is were headed in that direction tomorrow feom Sedona. Would love to run into you all
Actually ours isnt the exact same we have the 1750rd springdale mini. We love it and love the huge back window. Been living in it 10 months now and its holding up great. We ended up staying a little south of Lake Mead and stayed at Lake Mohave. Were on BLM land North Joshua Tree heading north from here.
@fateunbound we would love to meet with another young couple like you guys exspecially since we have basically same rigs. I thought ours was the same until you said 2020 ha
The huge rear window is a must! It's the main reason we got this one. We've been in ours for a full year now, yesterday was our 1 year anniversary of moving in and it's also holding up well! How was Lake Mohave?
Sorry didn't see your last message till now. It'd be cool if our paths crossed sometime, right now we're near Death Valley but about to move north/west.
We have not had any security issues and hopefully never do *knocks on wood* We lock everything up and take all our valuable electronics with us just in case (laptops, camera gear, etc.) so if anyone does break in they wont get much. Plus there is a full blooded Rottweiler guarding the fort and she doesn't mess around when it comes to people getting too close to the RV.

You are the winner of TH-cam for putting coordinates. On behalf of all campers / travelers / RVers, I thank you!!
Haha thank you! The GPS coordinates just make it so easy to find!

As always perfect details and thanks for listing the website!
Thank you Jaci! I'm glad you found it useful!😊
Great job - love how well you cover an area and all of the info you provide. Our Lab would love being that close to the water too!
Thanks! Hopefully I included everything someone preparing to visit this area would need. Oh yeah a Lab would love splashing around in the water!

Thank you! I'm glad it was helpful 😊
The Hoover test site is sixteen reactors in Utah and they supply lake Mead lake Powell and salt lake with fresh water!!!
Great Review, I think you covered everything.
Thank you!
Good review. I was there one month ago. Had spot at the end of a high bluff with unobstructed view of Lake Mead and the surrounding desert.
Thanks! And that's awesome, I think we know the spot you're talking about. That is a beautiful spot.
Sounds really pretty r g !!!
I love how to explained it very easy to fallow exactly what you are saying ! Thank you
Awesome Jenni! Keep up the great work 👍

Thanks for all of the good info, Jenni. We'll have to add this campground to our future travels list.
You're welcome David! That's awesome hopefully you enjoy it when the time comes!
Nice work, as usual. Thanks!
Thank you Mina =)

Excellent campsite review Jenni 👩, you have another hit under your belt, so congratulations and keep them coming, thank you!! 😊😆😉😄❤ Auntie Didi 👵
Another con about Lake Mead in the summer is that there are tons of flying bugs during the day at certain times.
The comment on fees was a bit confusing. Government Wash is considered a dispersed camping area and there is no onsite fee. The $20 fee without a park pass is simply the regular fee to enter the park that is paid at the entry booth.
Best Review Ever !!!!
Hahah thank you!!!
souper job guys like ever.love from Greece guys.txs.
Thank you, you're always so kind 😊
Good job Jenny
Thank you =)
Very informative vlog. Thanks for the info.
Another great video, thanks. Spring and fall are OK but we lived in Vegas and summer might be a problem.
Thanks Gary! So far late winter and early spring have been great, but I'm sure summers near Las Vegas are brutal!
Hi. thank you so much 👍👍👍👍
You're welcome! Hopefully it's good and useful!
Your reviews are the best! You get better and better and 5 minutes is perfect. Does Butters go near the water?
Why thank you Dave! I try to keep these as concise as possible. And no Butters definitely does not go near the water. She's a typical cat when it comes to water and absolutely hates getting wet.

Been watching you all since your first video cause we have the same rig and intentions
That's awesome, best of luck to you!
Awesome review. Would be great to stay there if someone has a tow vehicle to drive into vegas.
Thanks Mac! It was a great place to stay, especially so close to Vegas.
We have the exact same rig we bought last year and are also fulltime rvong traveling doing the same similar tjing to you all. Funny thing is were headed in that direction tomorrow feom Sedona. Would love to run into you all
We love our RV, how are you liking the 2020QB? Where are you guys at now? We're not in the Las Vegas area anymore but by Death Valley

When you leave your rig for a day trip, have you had any security issues with regards to break ins?
We have not had any security issues and hopefully never do *knocks on wood* We lock everything up and take all our valuable electronics with us just in case (laptops, camera gear, etc.) so if anyone does break in they wont get much. Plus there is a full blooded Rottweiler guarding the fort and she doesn't mess around when it comes to people getting too close to the RV.
Pretty view love ya
Thank you Penny, it was quite beautiful there and a great place to call home for two weeks!
Is there a bathroom?
Yes, there are bathrooms in the front parking right before you get to the campsites
Nice job. Do you buy any if the annual passes. National , state, ???
Yep we've got the national annual pass so we can go to all federal public lands!
15 day stay can you move over to next spot stay another 15 and so on ?
Nice
Can we have a fire?
There are fire rings around but you'll want to call the Lake Mead visitor center to check their fire restrictions before having a campfire
I wouldn't recommend swimming there because all of the sewage from Las Vegas enters the lake right there
:)
Great resource and once again very well done.
Thanks again you two 😊
We really appreciate your efforts :-)
