Sadly one step back on the bolts.....but many steps forward.🎉 If you can afford it one....get to you local tool stockist and buy a 600mm spanner for putting the swivels back onto the axel, and when other friends are doing their's your have plenty of beer tokens of them.👍
Nice job, you'll be back on the road in no time! I'm enjoying the rebuild and repairs, it reminds me of my old 300tdi discovery. A couple of things I noticed though, was the lack of grease on the drive flange splines and CV joint splines. Some moly grease would be good there, the higher percentage of moly the better otherwise those splines will wear out again. If you're interested, the wear on those old parts is from 'fretting'. The other thing was when you were putting on the grease for the gaskets I noticed there was a fair bit in the threaded holes which isn't ideal for threadlock. I'm sure it will be fine though. I hope it's permanent threadlock used. Cheers for the videos and positive can do attitude!
Thanks mate! There’s some good points there! I might take the flanges off and put some moly on. And I did get a bit eager with the grease on the gaskets haha as you can probably tell I’m no pro 😂
@@myke0703 thanks mate, I think it would be okay. The Range Rover classics didn’t have anti roll bars but it would be a bit wobbly. I only run a front arb and it’s fine for me
Great work, wish you’re videos were out when I was doing this last year! Love the editing. From your neck of the woods originally- other side of the bay but in oz now. How did you go with the shims for the pre load? Did I miss that bit?
Thank you! Ahh my auntie is over in oz! I didn’t mess with the swivels as it wasn’t long since I changed the balls and bearings etc so I just cleaned them and fit new seals. I think you get shims with the rebuild kit so you can set the correct preload
Thanks for a great couple of videos.
I like your style.
I was hoping you’d done one on fitting the calipers and hoses. And bleeding.
Thank you John! I didn’t get round to filming the brakes but I will do next time I work on them. They will need some work soon

Getting there now! Nearly mot time! Good tip on the spanner I’ll have a look. Cheers
Great stuff! Be like a new truck when you are finished. Bet you are well chuffed with it
Thanks neale! Yeah I’m pleased with it, can’t wait to get it back on the road

Tks mate for sharing
Thanks!
Great job mate, thanks for sharing.
I wonder if you removed the anti-roll bar forever.
