I had tears in my eyes for everyone of these folks who brought the family around the black and white tv then colour may the universe look after you all ❤
Just shows you how fast time goes in joy life people less fighting each other and live life to the full and make up with people you fallen out with all bout love never know when time is up ❤
I am gonna go out on a limb here and say that testing positive in the days before a 78 years old man's death had quite a bit to do with it! It's just a hunch though.
Betty Driver was a very popular singer with a big band before Corrie...she was up there with the best of British singers along with Anne Shelton and Vera Lynn..............
I think Steve Wright should have been named. He did present top but also the best radio DJ. He was a part of our lives for decades. Sadly missed and was treated badly by the BBC. Also, Paul O'Grady for me was the greatest lost. Never to be forgotten.
Kenneth Cope also played Ray Hilton, who married Jessie Shadwick ( Marji Campi) in Brookside. She was also in Corrie as Dulcie Froggat, Jack Duckworth’s ‘mistress’.
Andrew Hall was also in 1970’s to 1980’s comedy sitcom Butterflies played older brother to Nicholas Lyndhurst character, who played Rodney in Only Fools and Horses.
So many have died in soapland and they will be missed a lot and it good to see repeats of the soaps how about repeating crossroads xxxlol ❤❤❤ best wishes 2:21
She was a very heavy smoker you could tell by how husky her voice became she had warning but never stopped. My sister was the same she had breast cancer 10years ago and it went but she never stopped smoking the cancer returned she did from lung Cancer 3 weeks ago . Folks don't smoke if you do stop
@@brianvaughan2312Smoking ‘can’ cause cancer, it doesn’t mean it does in everyone. That’s ignorant to say. Someone eats a load of red meat every week, doesn’t mean they’re going to get bowel cancer. You’re either predispositioned to get it or you aren’t. My grandfather contracted TB before WWII, hospitalised for months & months, came away with 1 lung. Worked his behind off as a farmer & smoked like a chimney, passed of natural causes / old age at 89. My mum smoked like a trooper, but passed suddenly from an unrelated condition (aneurysm abdominal caused by her condition - Ehlers danlos syndrome) aged 76. She’ll still be chuffing away wherever she is. Sorry to hear about your sister, but it’s peoples personal choice at the end of the day, tomorrow isn’t guaranteed no matter how you live your life - I’ve known complete health nuts be found deceased in their own homes from huge heart attacks. It is what it is.
What about stephen Hancock who played Ernie Bishop,i remember when his character was killed off,it was one of the biggest shocks in the soap world on TV at the time.
My heart rate in my opinion is a bit sad that the actors are the best and actresses are with the angels now and through the lord jesus is a great idea for them to be resting in heaven with the angels Richard McGeechan ❤
Blimey, if they were able to bring back together in 2024 the original casts, their combined ages will be in the thousands, most of them would be over 100 years old already! Imean this is how long Coronation Street has been on tv, when William Roache, (Ken Barlow) started on Corrie in 1960, he was in his 20s, and now only 7 years away from being 100yo himself! I’m middle age myself and remember Coronation Street in black and white, (when I was a kid, colour TVs were for the posh folks in the mid ‘70s.) You know, when Coronation Street celebrates its 100th anniversary, psychic mediums will be required to interview the original cast, William Roache is one of the. Last original cast members, me on the other hand will be floating above a comfy cloud drinking a long glass of orange juice with whiskey with my family.
coronation st when it was worth looking at now its so bad don't look at it anymore they were great no stories of murder going from one depressing story to another its dismal now
I remember watching the very first episode in December 1960. My mum was a big fan and it was always on in our house. I followed it up to the early 2000s, and It became totally plot driven, and characters did things that were totally out of keeping in the early days. Things happened, and the characters reacted to it. Also, they should have renamed it corpse-eration Street. There were so many killers and deaths.👎
Rather than lay down why not go outside and get some fresh air and touch grass? Not everyone watches coronation street, you don't have to watch the video and be offended.
Maybe some people would like to come and pay their respects or indulge in a bit if nostalgia, tf is wrong with you?. if you don't want to watch it, don't
@@eightiesmusic1984 How is @robertjarman4261 being racist? It's a FACT that there are a lot of immigrants in the UK now - far more than there have ever been before. That isn't a racist comment. Racism is the act of treating people differently because of their race. Making comments about the number of immigrants in a country is not treating anybody differently because of their race, so is not a racist comment.
So sad as I’m watching the old episodes now and a lot of them are still alive to me. Hilda and Elsie, my favs
wow that brought back some memories.
I had tears in my eyes for everyone of these folks who brought the family around the black and white tv then colour may the universe look after you all

I used to love Monday night soap night - Emmerdale, corrie, eastenders and then another corrie… must be 20 years ago
Seem like yesterday some of the guys were on our TV but they passed 20 or 30 years ago. :(
Let's not forget Peter Dudley who played the long suffering Bert Tyseley....
Tilsley
You missed Arthur Lowe who was one of the originals (as Leonard Swindley) from 1960 to 1965.
Like saying goodbye to old friends
May they all rest in peace
They all played their
Parts well
I also remember geoffrey hughes as vernon scripps in heartbeat and ounslow in keeping up appearances
Also Twiggy in The Royle Family
@@dminalba oh yeah i forgot about that
Also Doreen Keogh was also in The Royle Family playing Mary
@@dminalba i thought that was her
It blows my tiny mind to think that four of the cast were born in the 1890s.
Very tastefully done tribute video
I don't know what covid 19 has got to do with it but we'll say no more about it ..🤗
I am gonna go out on a limb here and say that testing positive in the days before a 78 years old man's death had quite a bit to do with it!

Fred gee was played by Fred feast and not Graham haberfield!

Roy Barraclough was really funny to watch and the purple haired old lady was funny aswell
I feel time is moving too fast, its very sad so many people who have been a staple of our t.v r leaving us.
Kenneth Cope also played Ray Hilton, who married Jessie Shadwick ( Marji Campi) in Brookside. She was also in Corrie as Dulcie Froggat, Jack Duckworth’s ‘mistress’.
All legends in there own way
Andrew Hall was also in 1970’s to 1980’s comedy sitcom Butterflies played older brother to Nicholas Lyndhurst character, who played Rodney in Only Fools and Horses.
Very very sad to see all these stars you loved to watch and to find out that they have gone on.
Lets not forget Flying Pickets frontman Brian Hibbard who died in 2012.
So many have died in soapland and they will be missed a lot and it good to see repeats of the soaps how about repeating crossroads xxxlol ❤❤❤ best wishes 2:21
Missed Davy Jones
Meg johnson also played pear ladderbanks in emmerdale
You've missed Anita Carey who played Joyce Smedley. {Judy Mallet's mother) She sadly passed away in 2023.
I didnt know Anne Kirkbride had died, and such a young age such a shame..I don't watch coronation st ..or any soaps for that matter..

Richard Beckinsale Was In Corrie

Good shout 👍
You have Graham Haberfield down for two roles. It was Fred Feast who played Fred Gee.👍
Its not unusual for this channel to get things wrong.
God bless them all
My heart rate in my opinion is a bit sad that the actors are the best and actresses are with the angels now and through the lord jesus is a great idea for them to be resting in heaven with the angels Richard McGeechan ❤
Mollie sugden was also mrs slocombe in are you being served
Hilda Ogden was the best.
Barbara Young played a more major role as Sadie Hargreaves in ‘Family Affairs’.
Pat Phoenix died on 17th September 1986.
Why do we have to say good to the best ones I've stopped watching since the best ones have gone.may they rest in peace god bless them.❤❤❤
JOHNNY BRIGGS was in CORONATION STREET who had a relationship with Deidre Barlow; He was NOT Crossroads.
He played the part of Clifford Leyton, boss of a taxi firm, in crossroads, and Spiggy in Thick as Thieves
0:12 is the photo of Betty inside the Rovers.
Did not know Peter Adamson was dead .Rip.
it’s ‘Jonny’ Leeze. He also played Ned Glover on Emmerdale.

We never know so lets make each day count.
Can you do other tv series like father ted etc
th-cam.com/video/NqdmEohQ69Y/w-d-xo.html Graham Haberfield is incorrect. Fred Feast played Fred Gee the date and age are correct though
Pat Phoenix actually died on 17th September, not the 9th!
coronation st when it was worth looking at now its so bad don't look at it anymore they were great no stories of murder going from one depressing story to another its dismal now
Margot Bryant, not Byrant
Stop using surnames...its disrespectful it sounds like a prison rollcall
Weird how so many of them died around Christmas time
Graham Haberfield is mentioned twice
