I'm 60 years old. Waltons was my favorite show when I was a lot younger. Saw every show. I grew up an only child. I used to watch them and wish I had a family like that.
I still watch them. I am alone and older, they are the only family I have? People forget about the elderly. I would rather watch their reruns than a lot of the trash on TV now.
I considered it good wholesome family programming. The whole family could sit around and their was in my opinion nothing offensive on the show. It was one of my favorite TV shows when I was growing up.
I adored the Waltons and as it was only my mum & I at home we both longed for a family like this one. It was nostalgic, gentle, full of love and there was nothing offence about it unlike today's profanity and explicit programmes. Oh, happy days we spent virtually on Walton's mountain.
I had a crush on JohnBoy +++++ So did my best friend++++++ We watched every Thursday night ❤❤❤❤❤❤😮😮😮😮 Can we please have nice shows like this again 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Thanks so much 😊😊😊😊😊
This was nicely done, I also grew up in a rural area with 6 brothers and sisters (same age as Erin) and we never missed this show on Thursday nights. Dearly love this family. ❤😊
From the UK here. I used to love Monday nights on tv in the 1970's 7pm Star Trek, 8pm The Waltons, 9pm The Andy Williams Show with guest stars The Osmonds. Good times 😊
@@jillhughes1878I'm from the UK too and I also loved Star Trek as well as the Waltons. Shows that had meaning and where the characters cared about each other. There were messages hidden in the stories, which were valuable life lessons endorsed by my dear late mother who also enjoyed the shows. As for Andy Williams and the Osmonds especially Donny, they sent a young girl's heart a flutter! I still think Andy Williams is one of the handsomist and talented singers ever. I love Moonriver from my favourite movie Breakfast at Tiffanys. The 1960's and early 70's were wonderful times, why did the world have to change?
My family watched this together when I was younger. It was just one of the wholesome shows we watched as a standard tradition. I miss my mom, who died in 2016, at 87.
I have fond memories of watching “The Waltons” in the 70’s at my grandparents house. In the winter I’d sit by the roaring fireplace with a tin pie pan of sliced apples & oranges while watching the big console tv. Ah, the good ol’ days.
The Best Show Ever on TV. The Grandparents reminded me of my own how they cared for Each Other and the kids There is NOTHING ON TV Now that is FIT for Adults much Less Kids to Watch
I have come to love this show and they were far better days gone by than days now so far is the way people were versus the way they are. I saw the program today and I never miss it if I can possibly get to it and my plan tomorrow morningis to wake up still alive and ready to see another Waltons program. I love those people.
I loved The Waltons- many happy memories of the programmes as I grew up in the UK. Nothing like it here- good, wholesome, moral and decent...the youngsters of today could do with watching it🥰🙏🧡
I was a very young child when I watched this very unique family show. It actually felt kinda like it was real. It would come on every Sunday eve. That was a special night for me when I knew “The Waltons are on tonight.” It was amongst a few other shows that were very unique.
I was very little, and I LOVED this show. For some strange reason, Mary Ellen was my favorite. My family had 2 ducks, and I named them John and Olivia! Lol
I loved that show. I saw every episode back when it originally aired. I watch it any time that I can find it streaming someplace. I still think that I would have liked living in that time. Thank you for this video. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Die Schauspieler, welche nach Dreh von The Waltons verstorben sind, bleiben unvergessen und sind in der Serie verewigt. Mögen Alle in Frieden ruhen. Im Übrigen; Jetzt Oktober 2024 wird The Waltons im Fersehen gesendet. Also habe ich Recht; Die Verstorbenen leben in der Serie, 2024, weiter.
My husband bought me the entire series on DVD. I can pop one in and go back to times when television actually showed something worth watching......much unlike the garbage they show today.
Loved watching that show. I still watch it every day at noon. It was a good family show for everyone to watch and learn about the hard times they endured and yet stuck together as a loving family. Great show!!!!!
Ripley's Believe it or Not: now airing in Germany. I thoroughly enjoy it. Try not to miss any episode. Brings back nice memories of my youth, stateside.
@HollyData365 you should do this same format of Actors and Actresses when they began acting how old they were when they began acting and after passing away and what movies the starred in. Thanks for sharing I enjoy your videos keep them coming.
I was befriended by Will Geer while I was at Auburn University. He invited me out to Los Angeles but I didn’t go out there. He had been in my same fraternity at a different school , Lambda Chi Alpha…

Same, I was 11 when the first episode came out, I'm 63 now. I was a foster and wished had a family in general.
Most everyone who didn't have a bunch of siblings would like to have a family like the ones we saw on tv but, nobodys family is that perfect.
It is also a part of my childhood memories.

I miss this kind of television programming. Real, profound, and emotionally authentic.😊
Little House On The Prairie was a good one too.
I considered it good wholesome family programming. The whole family could sit around and their was in my opinion nothing offensive on the show. It was one of my favorite TV shows when I was growing up.

That’s a lot of good old American television. Those were the days. Nothing like that anymore.

I am 72 and really just seeing their photos is like family. Thank you all.
Nice to see a cast list where they're not all dead.
I watch the Waltons everyday, and sometimes several times a day.

Thank you. Loved the show❤❤❤
Forever hunting turkeys with grandpa & Johnboy. Loved this program when it was new and is like visiting family today.
I love the Waltons every Thursday night in the 70’s
Your spot on North Alabama area it was 7pm I believe.
@@dougpope3045It was also 7 in Iowa.
Great show
I watched every episode of this series and watched them again online. I was 11 when the first one came out in 1972, I'm 63 now.
Nice video, and I think the fireworks are a nice touch.
Watched this show 37 years ago when my second child was born. It was the only thing on tv at the 2:00 feeding
I love the way this was done! I hope you continue to do these with other shows. This is my 1st one, so I'm looking forward to more. ❤ Thanks a bunch!
Wish they would have included Pip, Kami's real brother & the girl that played his sister.
Thank you for posting such great memories. ❤️

I loved the Walton’s brilliant programme fantastic actors
This show and MASH will never be surpassed by any other...
Gunsmoke is really good, too. 😊
It's So Interesting To See How The Child Stars Looked Then & To See How They Look Now ..
Also To Know Who Passed Away
They were so young many of them , so much talent at an early age

Earl Hamner wasnt just the narrator He created the show based on his childhood
I definitely grew up watching this show ❤
Thank You!!!
What a wonderful show
I'm 83 and I still watch the Waltons.
SUCH A GOOD PROGRAM ....
I grew up with the Waltons. Since 1971, I have aged and grown old alongside these people. let’s see what you looked like like in 55 years.
I loved watching The Waltons when I was growing up. Still do to this day.
They don't make programmes like that anymore.
Richard Thomas was 21 while the actress who played his mother, Michael Learned, was only 12 years older at 33.
Loved watching that show. I still watch it every day at noon. It was a good family show for everyone to watch and learn about the hard times they endured and yet stuck together as a loving family. Great show!!!!!
A great show and still like watching the reruns today....
Good night John Boy.
Great Video👍 Tks❤
I had a crush on Mary Ellen.😮😅😊😢😊
Yep...but "Erin" looks better these days
The only thing I remember about the show was Good Night ,Jon Boy!
This was a good family show. They all look good
The picture you used for the old/dead John Crawford is not John Crawford. That is a picture of Yakima Canutt who died on May 24, 1986.
I liked John Boy and his mother. I enjoyed very much watching this show.
Loved Ralph Waite he was so much like my dad.
Thank you
really wonderful show clean and wholesome with great family values
Never realized until now that John Ritter had acted in that show!

Jon Walmsley (Jason) was a band member on tour for my all time favourite artist Richard Marx back in the day in the late 80's.

They could totally reboot this with the originals. The kids then are the parents now. Etc. it could go on forever
That Recipe paid off for those Baldwin sisters! What a great show that I still watch to this day!
Goodnight Mary Ellen 😊
Danke schön ❤
Later, Richard Thomas and the late John Ritter co-starred as the characters Bill Denbrough and Ben Hanscom in the 3-hour 1990s miniseries/film "IT."
Me and my family when I was younger would watch the Walton's at night forget what days
I watched the Walton’s my earlier years
It was so fun to see Ralph Waite in Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner’s
The Bodyguard.
Some of the ages are wrong❤❤❤❤❤❤

So when it started dad was 44, his wife was 33 and their oldest son 21. So dad married mom when he was 23 and she was 12.
Those were the ages of the actors at the time, not the characters ages.
Old Memories
John Crawford's later photo doesnt look like him ??
I agree. It's not him. But I can't find a photo of the John Crawford's we're talking about when he was old.
I remember him mainly from Hogan's Heroes! 😄
