Wow so many people who were larger-than-life and seemed to make the world go round when I was growing up in the 90s. Seeing them pass away feels like the death of my childhood and a whole era. Feels like losing a friend.
What a line up of folks most of us know of. We hear that these people have gone and by the end of the we year oohh we realise who's Gone. Many are not well known,but known in other countries. Westwood and Pele last,Fashionably late. RIP them all and their Contrabution to our entertainment.🙏💐🌄
My last grandparent, my grandfather passed this year. First generation Italian. Served in WWII. Worked until he was 93 years old. We kept him as safe as we could during covid but he had a slip n fall that caused a break. Had to go to the hospital n rehab. Got Covid within days. RIP James J. Barber II. You were the definition of a gentleman ❤️
You watch these things when you're a kid and it's just a bunch of old faces that you've never seen and have no idea who they are until the years go by and you watch it and the faces start to become recognizable until one day you watch it and you now know every face on the list and every name on the list. RIP
Jerry Lee Lewis is undoubtedly getting a pitchfork right up the tradesmen by Satan for marrying his 13-year-old cousin no? If you're telling me that nonces get into Heaven you count me out.

So many amazing talented people. So many I grew up too. I am now reaching this stage. Hard for me to believe but yes. I'm older than some here. I have lost some very close child hood friends in the last 2 years. It happens a lot faster than you realize. So I suggest telling those far and near that you care and love them. The people close to me all know that they are special and loved.

All the memoriam tributes the I have seen have included Estelle Harris who played George Costanza's mom on Seinfield, but only one other one included Liz Sheridan, who played Jerry's mom on the show. She is the only one that I noticed that wasn't included in yours.
Remember to always pray for those who are grieving, grief is a wicked and tormenting spirit. Allow others time in this, allow them to choose how best for them to deal with their feelings and how they express them. We are all different in this and it is the one experience in life that no one else can dictate, the choice is ours and no others.

I was surprised about Kirstie Alley. She was a great actress. I was disappointed that our local tv news didn't show up all of these great people (especially someone like Sydney Potier, Nichelle Nichols).

Michelle, I've watched 3 of these memoriams tonight on U-Tube, and as I looked at them I thought about how fleeting life is. I just turned 73 and I grew up watching some of the people who died this year, like Tony Dow on Leave it to Beaver. I remember those days so well and most of the time my age boggles my mind because it seems like yesterday I was a young girl. I picture all my old school friends as young and then I remember they're now my age. It really does give you a new perspective on life and how tomorrow may never come for you, so we need to cherish each day we have.
If you never heard " Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast with Frank Santopadre" you owe it to yourself to do so now! Every week for five years I would tune in hoping to laugh and learn and I was NEVER DISAPPOINTED! You don't know what a true talent we lost.
I would surely add Lamont Dozier who, with the Holland Brothers, wrote and produced a gazillion hits for Motown!!!! Also Miss Anita Pointer who sang a backdrop to my college days with the Pointer Sisters and had me running to the dance floor!!!!

I'm no avid follower of the Fashion industry, but it did strike me from watching this video and from reading news, that alot of designers passed away in 2022 - Thierry Mugler, Cerutti, Issy Miyake, and Vivienne Westwood.
Of all the people on the list Bob McGrath and Nichelle Nichols had the most impact on my life. Always sad to lose such people, but really damned glad we shared the same time to be alive.
We all live in a delusion that we are going to live on this earth forever. I'm Praying to escape all that is coming upon this earth and to stand before the Son of man. Luke 21:36.

Remember to always pray for those who are grieving, grief is a wicked and tormenting spirit. Allow others time in this, allow them to choose how best for them to deal with their feelings and how they express them. We are all different in this and it is the one experience in life that no one else can dictate, the choice is ours and no others.
I wish they would hold off on doing these until Jan 1 since some people get left out.

I was surprised about Kirstie Alley. She was a great actress. I was disappointed that our local tv news didn't show up all of these great people (especially someone like Sydney Potier, Nichelle Nichols).
Please don't forget Sonya Eddy who played Epiphany Johnson on General Hospital for many years and several movies and TV shows she was 55 years old and will truly be missed on General Hospital

Watching this gave me a different perspective on life… Some I did not know they even passed away… The unknown is the worst feeling, Growing up you think ur untouchable and that you only die when your old… The reality is that you can die in a blink of an eye…
Michelle, I've watched 3 of these memoriams tonight on U-Tube, and as I looked at them I thought about how fleeting life is. I just turned 73 and I grew up watching some of the people who died this year, like Tony Dow on Leave it to Beaver. I remember those days so well and most of the time my age boggles my mind because it seems like yesterday I was a young girl. I picture all my old school friends as young and then I remember they're now my age. It really does give you a new perspective on life and how tomorrow may never come for you, so we need to cherish each day we have.
2013 was a killer year for me : 2 friends to suicide; both parents within a week; 2 animals put down; 3 aunts. Took me years to come out of the fog.
That must be super hard.... sorry for your losses. But the fact that you're still here 10 yrs later means their legacy lives in you now.
I'm so sorry. I hope the memories of them now brings you joy.

I would surely add Lamont Dozier who, with the Holland Brothers, wrote and produced a gazillion hits for Motown!!!! Also Miss Anita Pointer who sang a backdrop to my college days with the Pointer Sisters and had me running to the dance floor!!!!

I'm no avid follower of the Fashion industry, but it did strike me from watching this video and from reading news, that alot of designers passed away in 2022 - Thierry Mugler, Cerutti, Issy Miyake, and Vivienne Westwood.
Of all the people on the list Bob McGrath and Nichelle Nichols had the most impact on my life. Always sad to lose such people, but really damned glad we shared the same time to be alive.
