Hair stylist here: Sis, you just need 10V developer because you're just depositing colour (not lightening). You're blasting open your hair cuticles a d causing unnecessary dryness. Your hair is thriving❤❤
Amazing how long your hair has grown! I'm in the process of hyping myself up for a retie and like to watch a few videos beforehand to get me in that zone.
I have traditional loc but my go to look is definitely a jet black. Something about it for me. I love your locs you were definitely a hair inspo and tho I went traditional I’m here locd in all your videos lol
You make me laugh SO HARD! I love your channel! I am a licensed cosmetologist 30 years now and a loctician. Lisssten. The volume of any developer is processing time. ALL of it is just as damaging if you don’t watch your time. In saying that, you’re fine with 30 volume dev with a permanent blue black as long as you want to process your color faster. Next time, invest in 20.
I was one year loc'ed at the beginning of this month . I just combed my locs down this week and started over because I didn't like how they looked. My parts weren't neat and when they would "marry," I would mistakenly interlock them together. I also had holes in my locs. It started looking messy!!! This video came right on time. Thanks sooo much!!!!💜 I love your locs and color by the way. I use Clairol hi lights in RED. It's been a year since I colored my hair. The color is at the tips of my hair, and it is fading. I will color again soon, but I'm waiting until my locs mature. Maybe I will color again this time next year.
So to be clear the end of a two point retie, you should have a y shape at the roots right? And then as it grows out that is the y that you look for later to determine the retie direction next time? Sorry it feels like a silly question but I keep seeing people online saying y shape roots damage and weaken the loc but from what I see on you that clearly isn't the case and just want to be sure! This tutorial was so incredibly helpful ❤
Love this. I usually do 4 point in back and 2 point in the front because this is when I get lazy lol. I think imma do 2 point this time all the way around.
I LOVE Your Microlocs ❤ I'm A DIY I've been on this journey 8Months now and it has been a Process but you made the reties look so easy😊 it was taking me A week to complete but Now it's a weekend job😂😂 But I Love the $$$ I save.... Oh I color my hair magenta mixed with blk cherry. I Thank you for all you have shown about your Journey.
You seem really quick with your retie. Amazing 🔥any tips for speed please? I have about 450 locs and it takes about a week for me (few hours each day). Also how do you prevent buildup when you use that twisting paste please?
I’ve definitely gotten faster. Speed for me came as my hair matured. There’s less steps I have to take now vs my earlier days (no unraveling, no separating married locs, etc.) for me the speed came with time. I honestly still think that’s too long lol but I’m working on beating my previous time each session. As for the buildup, I haven’t experience any with this product. I only use oil, water and rose water for my moisture routines. The less products you use the better. I also use a clarifying shampoo to get rid of any build up. I hope this helps! ❤
Hi Keke, I love your locs. I also just left Sally with my blue black dye. I've never dyed my hair. I'm nervous but my locs are looking so dull . Thanks for the video
Beautiful! 😍 Black has always been my go to and now that I’d like to experiment with other colors the grey has taken over like nobody’s business SO I’m just trying to embrace my natural “highlights”
Do you lay something down to protect your countertop? I normally put plastic grocery bags down on the countertop and in the sink while I'm working. It's makes for easy cleanup. You just throw away the bags when you're finished. I also have a black t-shirt that I only wear when I color my hair and I use an old black t-shirt to dry my hair.
Do you normally stick with the 2 point rotation or do you switch it up with 4 point rotation if you feel it's necessary? Can u explain why you prefer 2 point rotation, does it have the same outcome as other rotations?
Hey Keke baby please show me a slower version of what you're saying about the locs retie cuz umma newbie on 6 months of micro braid locs. I do my 2 point rotations and um so confused on what I need to look for first. I definitely appreciate you and what you do and by the way your hair grew a lot since I saw you last year...🤔🧐😇🙏
Whoa the way you retwist is so amazing and efficient like... I think your using a clamp like a crochet needle im not sure,, but the retwist gel on your Amazon list is sold out rn ):
Question! For the 2pt, do you have to remember how you tied it last?? I keep hearing that and I just wonder if that's true. I'm not sure that I can remember 😬. I feel like what you're saying about the 'Y' and 'H' makes more sense.
My natural hair is a 1b. I just do it to keep everything one color since my ends have been dyed. The color different in the sun is awful lol so I like to keep it all one color
Love it! I usually like to use the dark and lovely super black on my locs when I can get my hands on it. It typically takes me 10-12 hrs to retie if I do it in one session 😅 my boyfriend says I should split up the time between days so I’m not wrecking my shoulders. Any tips or suggestions on how to get faster?
On one of your earlier vids, your front locs were unravelling a bit. What did you do in the end? Have you had to merge them. I've been locked for about 8 months now, and the front row is the enemy of prgress 😂. I've added extensions to mine but I'm thinking about just merging them
Is interlocking necessary for micro locs? asking because when I put mine in, I just want to palm roll or just twist my new growth. My hair is extremely coily and thick.
Hey first and foremost, ive loved watching you loc journey! But I was looking at products on Amazon and noticed some storefronts are using your photos for their products. Are you also aware of this? I wanted to let you know!

Oooo now that woman at Sally’s told me to get 30 dev 😫 thank you so much for letting me know! ❤️❤️
@@KekeJthe nerve, she should know better! Anything over 10 volume is for lifting and depositing. I’m glad someone informed you 💜
They are correct. Only use 10v for depositing black hair color.
So if you dye your hair black you still need a developer? Just curious…
What volume developer do I use for a cinnamon brown
Amazing how long your hair has grown! I'm in the process of hyping myself up for a retie and like to watch a few videos beforehand to get me in that zone.
The Ion blue black is my fave also and yeah girl… I get at least 6 months out of one application. It is SO pretty!
My go-to color is Blue Black as well. Whenever I add highlights to my hair, my go-to is Copper or a Honey color.
The “if I had some eyebrows “ is me every time that skin gets right 🤣 cause we killing the game AND the Locs done dropped too lol?!?! Flawless 🥰
😂 you already know!! I appreciate you so much 🥰

It definitely took some practice lol and she’s not wrong! 😍
Gorgeous locs!!! You just motivated me to turn today into a wash and retie day that I’ve been holding off 😭😭
Thank youuu! You got this Queen! 💪🏾
Currently procrastinating my retie 🥴 maybe next week ... Maybe
Thanks for sharing! Love YOUR dye and retie! ✌🏾💜 Sometimes the brown looks really pretty in the sun, when it is moisturized! 🧚🏾♀️
Thanks so much for watching! ❤️ I definitely agree

I appreciate that so much! So glad to hear you’re enjoying your journey 😊
Love natural black iroiro semi permanent dye. Jet black makes me look like Dracula lol. The sun has really lightened my hair so I use semi quarterly
If sunshine were a person.

I started with 545 and combined down to 524. It now takes me 2-3 days . You will most definitely get faster especially with the 2 point retie method
New sub! Thank you for the details on the Y and H. I'm very must interested in DIY microlocs, and watching this vid is educational!!
Question about your interlocking process: you never end your retie in the south, 6, down position? You just let it end where it ends?
We are here for it!
Thanks love! 💕
I’m a jet black girl but I think I wanna give this blue black a

😂 hey that’s alright. I appreciate that so much 🥰
Do you know where I can find the locking paste? The link isn't for the same product.
Can you do a yt short on the final look with your make up??? Your hair has grown so much.
I sure can!
Beautiful locs!
Thank you so much for a detail video! I will be on my loc journey very soon...I will be doing rhem myself. You are such an inspiration!!!
Thank you for that tidbit Y and H

Do you always do a two point rotation?
Mine is definitely a nice jet black ! I may have to try that blueblack tho❤
Wow, long time no see. They've really grown long and they are so thick ❤❤❤

Your hair is amazing.....can you share what you use for make up its so nice
May i ask you... Did you ever experience breakage from bottom amd seeming like your locs were not growing?
so cute!! question, is there a specific reason you use 30 vol vs 10 or 20? i know 20 and up is for going lighter like bleach. just curious:)
I have micro locs and My go to color is purple/pink Your locs are gorgeous
Ooo I bet that is so pretty 😍
Thank you so much!
How long have you been doing 2 pt? If you started your locs from a 3 or 4, can you tell any negative difference?
You are so beautiful and so is your hair!!❤️ I have been considering microlocs for a bit, but I need to find someone reliable to do it for me 😩
I don't know where you live but check out "Braids That Speak"
Daytona is 1 hour from my home in Jacksonville
Your locs are beautiful 😍
I have the twisting paste and haven’t tried it yet, but I will definitely be trying it the next time I do my retie!

Hey Keke i am a mature followers start my own locs. Do you think the colour will work on my grey hair?
Locs are beautiful! 😍
Your hair is absolutely beautiful...💕❤💕
Should you trim your locs? I braided extensions waaaay too much in the last few months they're thining and super uneven
Ok question for you
Are you coloring to cover gray hair or for esthetics?
My natural hair is a 1b. I just do it to keep everything one color since my ends have been dyed. The color different in the sun is awful lol so I like to keep it all one color
Is it ok to switch from a 3 point to a 2 point rotation?
I like the Bigen, Oriental Black. Bought at Sally’s.
I haven’t tried them before, but seen them! I may have to give them a try
miss the green-dyed locs era but these are great
Omg I do tooo, so much!

Maybe henna
