Great to see you back out in the Phrog. I've noticed you run your ride height reasonably high, is this due to compromised geometry when lowering? Curious to hear your thoughts on difference in feeling/handling when running different heights!
Solid driving!! Definitely looks like you can push a bit more on turn one, I have the same issue at my local track I need to stop lifting lol. Thanks for the content 👍🏻
Regarding extra downshifts... I'm probably not telling you anything you haven't already figured out, but it's late night on the internet, so here goes... The places I've tried not downshifting all the way are 2-3, 11 (the thumb), and 13-16. My car is a 23 BRZ with stock final drive, but gearing looks pretty similar to yours. In 2, I can't maintain speed up the hill in 4th, which it looked like was the same for you, and you figured it out. You shifted to 4th in 3 on your last hot lap, but a bit later as you lifted to turn into 4 on your cooldown. I prefer the latter, although my PB lap I held third to redline through 4, and grabbed 4th while tightening the line towards apex of 5, and I'm gonna experiment with that more. In the thumb, I find that lower min speed with faster rotation, and hard exit works best, and my 3rd is just too tall for that. A wider arc keeping higher min speed just results in spending more time going slow. In 13-15, hard throttle squirts (autocross style) between the corners seems really important, so leaving it in 3rd is just slow for me. I grab third a few mph early in that brief moment of going straight on transition from 15 to 16, so my transmission gates are where I expect them. 😂 Back when I ran PIR in my 05 STI, though, I did leave it in third for the chicane, because trying to get down to 2nd resulted in over-slowing. But that car had lots of torque down in that part of the rev range.
Advance group out on a Sunday cruise except for you haha. Your friend in the NC has a parachute for a rear bumper slowing him down haha. Nice to see you back out.
It's finally back! Can't wait for more content and PB chasing.
Glad to see it back and to hear that 2ZZ rev out. Haven’t driven mine in a while and really needed to hear that sound again.
This car and you have gotten so fast. Im amazed how hard you two can push.
The froge is back 💪💪💪

Ya. These handle bad low.
Macpherson strut front, there is a limit to how low you can drop them if you want good handling.
Out of curiosity what coilovers are you using/ spring rates?
@@spreilly71 s3 suspension. 7k 12k. Everything done to this car is on my channel
Always inspiring, im slowly getting faster in my MRS

You're insane! Good run!
Coool! Keep posting!
I recently acquired a cape green MR2. Enjoying it so far 🎉
Sounds like a balance issue with the front splitter, it needs a flat floor and rear diffuser so it all works together
It doesn't have a splitter at all.
Missed you love the channel big inspiration to me
This is awesome dude

@@TougeTime curious, are you on a 5 or six speed? If 6 which one? I love the gear spacing on your car
@@igottafc 6. Celica. All the others are not good for 2zz spacing wise
I think I have a spare one of those hoods props. Do you want it?
what does WOT mean 🥺?
Wide open throttle. 100%
You dont happen to play assetto corsa do you?
Buttock clinching action. I’d love to have see a rear view camera of the Miata tryin to catch you. He was hauling too.
