    Beautiful! I’m so excited to get mine, I purchased the standard carbon fiber version.
    I’m really new to RC and have been reading as much as I can on it, I know I should replace the shafts to a one piece right away, then get new props? I still haven’t purchased a radio, servo, or batteries...can someone please throw some recommendations? Oh also, has anyone installed any hatch latches to secure the hatch down, I know they sell them but I have no idea about them.
    Sorry for all the questions!

    Nice video. I don't know why I'm getting so much crap elsewhere when I tell people I run my boat just how you do which is pretty much passing and some speed runs. That's exactly how I want to run my boat so I'm going to keep doing so
    A question I do have for you though is do these escs have a cut-off point where they cut power to the motors while still leaving enough juice in the batteries to get you back to shore. This is what my proboat does and I actually like the way it works but I haven't experienced this with the Zonda yet so I'm worried it's just going to die in the middle of the lake and I'll have to go get it

    Have you tried the flycolor esc's? I am swapping my seaking esc for flycolor just because I was told they have a tendency to blow up. I know from personal experience that the flycolor will shut down before it blows.. It may not work properly after but mine cut out before it caught fire at least. And they are cheap!

  • @edwincordero8
    @edwincordero8 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That esc says Seaking, but it's not made by Hobbywing. Looks like a Knockoff. Materials and parts used in knockoffs are less quality. Hobbywing brand should be on top of the esc and the side decals should be blue.
    Beautiful Zonda. Great cat. The new esc's you installed are Hobbywing brand. Those are monsters, plus 180a are a must with a boat this size and weight.

      Thank you, one ESC exploded and caught fire, and almost all of the electronics broke.
      I think i overloaded the electronics for 3 years. TFL recommended only 5S Lipo for warranty. I used 6S Lipo since the beginning, with everything stock.

    $550 to fix, I'm sure a brand new bought would cost near that and probably cheaper if it came without the motors, ESC, etc?

    • @northswedenrc5260
