Finally was able to catch Tom(WeissRC&Hobbies) and his new ProBoat BlackJack 42. Also Bob(RTW EO) brought out his UL-19 hydro and River Jet boat, I'm running my Miss GEICO, Zonda Carbon and React(rescue)

@@naveda08 I got some new gadgets for my dx trans the bluetooth for the spektrum dashboard app and Im testing them out and so far they are working good. I got a few for my dbxl, lasernut, geico. it shows the telemetry and speed and more. seems to be fine thus far

How many minutes do you drive, before you need to rechargeable?
5-10mins going regular speeds and around 3 mins when racing
the BJ needs trim tabs. I put some on mine and it was like night and day. I can run full throttle without any flipping worries.

Hi, I wish I would have read your assessment of the MG36 before I got one. You are spot on. The BJ42 is a good boat when you put the RCBB trim tabs on them. Have you run SSS 4092 2140Kv motors in the Zonda? What size props do you think would be good with them?

@@naveda08 Have the big motors still sitting in the box. I was going to start with a set of DrProps 643/3’s in spring. I run on a 700ft pond. Got 85mph with the stock 3674’s and Dasboata/Octura X44.5’s. Look forward to purchasing from you in the future.
There’s a place you may like to try in NEPA, Belmont Lake, In Northern Wayne County. Dasboata props are great. Are those 4519’s something that you sell through TFL? If not, what would be the best option from Dasboata for good all-around performance with the 2140Kv’s?
@@christophercurry7410 👍 very nice, I like the Tri props too but they tend to have more cavitation and really hike up the amp draw so I don’t use them much. Mainly use those on the bigger ones like the Genesis 56 or the large Princess yacht.
How does theBJ42 compare to MG36? I like the size of the BJ42, but also like the power from the MG36...
I don’t like either much at all since they can’t keep up with the TFLs The MG36 has a very brittle hull and the FlapJack just flips over anytime you try to go fast.
You need to tune that new BJ42 big time!!

I tested mine out yesterday for the first time on 6s and did not have the front come up as much as yours in this video. I know some who added 100 gram weights for diving and stuffed them up under the the front and seems to keep the front down a lot better’ Maybe tune your prop angel. Raising the Prop will increase speed but also decrease steering response and increase cavitation. lowering the drive strut increase steering response , but also increase steering sensitivity and decrease speed!!!
@@flreefshark76 it had a big prop on trying to figure out something to get her going lol faster since she soo slow out the box. He don’t like it looking to get rid of it

The fastest boat in that video is the Zonda Carbon(111 mph) by far when set up to do speed runs. Depending on what you want to do with the boat and the conditions you have to run in I can recommend something for you.

How is the blackjack 42? Debating on picking one up. I have a traxxas m41 I love.
She looks nice, the hull seems like it can bounce off a log if you hit one. Not a performance based platform, more like a fun big plastic affordable catamaran that can be bashed a lot more carelessly than one of the more expensive +75mph options out there. While talking to the peeps over at Horizon they compared the Blackjack to the E-Flite Timber(easy flying bush plane) and the GEICO and upcoming Impulse 32 to their EDF jets. BTW i am a TFL dealer if you were interested in any of their boats pls consider contacting me. It is important to note that TFL boats not aimed at beginners like most Proboat models. @@codyr7169 New York, TFLs start around $400 for the smaller Rocket, most are hand made to order. I will be stocking a few models but most are spoken for. If you can tell me a bit more about what your expectations are for the boat then I can help you find a model that works. Since you have a Catamaran already maybe a mono hull or a hydro? Or take the leap to the big leagues and go with twin drive catamaran

Thanks for watching, Bill Oxidean copied the Zonda hull, renamed it and overpriced it. Dude is a joke in my opinion but he sure fools a lot of customers into thinking they got something special.

Great day.. Which is the best between geico and zonda?? I like the zonda because of the esterior design especially..
The Geico is a nice looking boat but performance wise it can’t keep up with the custom Zondas I sell. The Geico hulls are also notoriously fragile, so if you want to go fast I wouldn’t recommend them. But they are significantly cheaper so it just depends on the person

Haha nah it’s not that bad maybe not just the right boat for you but it’s ok for some. I got a boat for yah man I think it will fit the ticket. Similar size 40inches long with a twin drive or single if u want to keep cost down, just as capable as my Zondas. But obviously it would have to be made to order. Genesis twin should be here soon if u didn’t want to wait you might like that as well very similar to Zonda
Where can we get the geico boat from please
Horizon Hobby, but they do not make a lot of them and are always backordered. Also it is not the best boat very fragile hull and not as fast as TFLs. The ESCs and servos are unreliable as well, unless you are only after the looks of the boat I wouldnt recommend. tnx for watching

Haha it’s aimed at beginners, I wouldn’t buy it but plenty of people will like it because it’s big and it says 8s. Doesn’t perform well out the box, idk I’m just trying to be nice to BJ42 owners here lol but yeah in short it’s not good
