    Great content, thank you for being one of the few people that are producing breakdowns of the corebook. One question though: when making a new Tech character, does the maker ability being set at 4 as a result of creating the character count as 4 increases in the skill in regards to gaining rank in maker specialties?

    • @CybernationUncensored

      yes yo are correct, you get 8 points to delegate, in sets of 2 per rank ;) -Thanks for tuning in and commenting, I appreciate that!

    Great videos, keep up the good work!
    I was checking out prices for things to get a picture of how much time it would take to create things.
    Some things is a bit "time optimistic", like create a pistol in 6 hours. But I guess that would be an ugly "fallout metal scrap looking" -pistol. Or an unreliable and plastic 3D printed one.
    But then I looked up vehicles and couldnt find any prices, just "Varies depending on model", not even any examples. (or did I just miss them?) And that is very disappointing.
    Also, Red is very poor on those fun pictures and details that we all loved from CP2020, like pictures on weapons and gear. Or a little "fluff" on the different guns for example. =( A big stain on an otherwise awesome product. I REALLY hope there will come a book with just a lot of weapons, gear and vehicles. That would also give more inspiration and useful info for our Techs to play around with. =)

      Thanks so much! I really appreciate that! They have a bunch of vehicles near the vehicle combat section but only 1 per example type. Yes there is a Chrome Black in the works! =)

    • @TheMerrox

      @@CybernationUncensored Sounds great! I guess its a bit early yet, but do you know when they plan to release the Chrome Black? And as you seem to have some good contacts or "fixers", do you know if there is any adventures coming? It would be great with a module with some "shortgigs" or something like that. Screamsheets are nice and all but having the outlines for an adventure has never been the problem and you still need to do all the work with screemsheets. It would be nice with a couple of short adventures with statblocks for enemies, fluff, information, perhaps some floorplans and things like that. So I as a GM (that runs 2 groups and have a rather busy worksheadule) could just pick up, read thru and have anything they need to run a game. I would have thought there would be at least a couple out already after the release of the jumpstart box but I have not found a single one out there, not even any homebrew or 3rd party. I would happily pay for complete adventures. Dont need to be campaigns, its better with shorter ones. (2-4 session-adventures). So if you could point to the direction to any it would be greatly appreciated. =)

    I'm kinda confused about the maker ability since you're starting with rank 4, do you allocate 4 points or 8?

    • @CybernationUncensored

    I do have a question about the Tech's ability to upgrade vehicles. It says that it can "Upgrade a vehicle with an upgrade that only requires a Nomad Role Ability Rank of 1". It also says that the cost of the materials needed for the upgrade is " of the same price category of the item being upgraded". Does this mean that the materials needed to upgrade a Compact Groundcar with Bulletproof Windows cost as much as a Compact Groundcar? Cuz that sounds like a really bad deal :)))

    • @CybernationUncensored
      @CybernationUncensored  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's possible it's this difficult/expensive so the Nomad can be the specialist here! You can also homebrew a bit and say it's cost of material needed not item being upgraded. It's up to you as GM but be careful you don't make things a bit unbalanced.

  • @Vampyre_Bytes

    • @CybernationUncensored
      @CybernationUncensored  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      what do you mean value "band"? I think you can creatively come up with ideas as a GM to add to the roleplay etc... maybe it's steel or plastics, an epoxy batch or something they use to create the items.

      @williamp7861 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CybernationUncensored by value band I mean cheap, expensive, etc.
      What i've done is just call the item "components" and given them an eb value, when the player collects enough to be considered moving up a "band" then they have enough to craft

    • @CybernationUncensored
      @CybernationUncensored  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@williamp7861 oh I understand what you're saying.. you made the materials needed an item to build up to reach the band needed to "fabricate" etc? so you set the price bracket and use that for materials needed? • @lelandmann5681
    @lelandmann5681 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm a little confused about "Materials" so how do you obtain materials? Is it from dissembling an item of a specific "Cost" or is their a literal item know as "Materials"

    • @CybernationUncensored
      @CybernationUncensored  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No specific materials were named as of yet.. but I expect some more details when Black Chrome comes out! For now, I would obtain them by sourcing materials and making a session out of it or like you said, dissemble something of similar value/category.

    hey, just a newbie question about upgrade expertise :) what does "typical" humanity loss mean in the first bullet point? ("lower the humanity loss of non-borgware cyberware by 1d6 if its typical humanity loss would be 2d6 or greater") should I roll 2d6 to every piece of cyberware to see if I can upgrade it this way? for example, if I have a cyberaudio suite with a HL of 7, should I roll with 2d6 between 2 and 7 to be able to upgrade it and lower its HL by 1d6?

    • @CybernationUncensored
      @CybernationUncensored  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it means any non-borgware that has a HL of 2d26 can be reduced by 1d6. humanity loss is what the character loses when installing cyberware. for every 10 points of HL you reduce your EMP stat by 1.
      I hope I was understanding your question and this was helpful. If not, please let me know and I'll try and help.

    • @HunBoTy
      @HunBoTy 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CybernationUncensored thanks for getting back to me :) so if I get this right, the HL value of a piece of cyberware is given e.g. as "2d6" instead of a simple "7"? I didn't find these stat tables in my Jumpstart Kit, and I don't have the Corebook yet :) that means an upgrade on a cyberaudio suite would reduce its HL from 2d6 to 1d6 (or from 7 to 3)?

    Can the Tech fabricate Cyberware which the Medtech can install?

  • @lordzaboem
    @lordzaboem 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Regarding Fabricate: Is it just me, or does Fabricate seem like a sucker's investment of Maker Points? Anything I can fabricate, I can also invent. It takes the same amount of time either way, the same cost of materials, the same bonuses to the die roll, and thr same DV. Invent is far more flexible though. The only advantage I see is that if I roll badly to Fabricate, I can retain my materials, but maybe they are partially lost if I roll badly to invent.

    • @lordzaboem
      @lordzaboem 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      P.S. Thanks to Eric for pointing out that Invent might not preserve the materials! I probably would not have noticed that difference.

      Fabricate is to make things that already exist in RED, invent to create something not already in existence.

    • @HenshinFanatic

      @@CybernationUncensored technically Invention Expertise doesn't create the final product, just the schematics/design docs for how to make it, still need Fabrication Expertise to bring the final product into existence except if the invention is a new kind of upgrade in which case you need Upgrade Expertise.

    • @CybernationUncensored
      @CybernationUncensored  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@HenshinFanatic Correct, the details are: Once invented, you (or another Tech who you
      show the blueprints to) can make your invented item/
      upgrade real using Fabrication or Upgrade Expertise!
      It's worth mentioning that nobody will give your invention a second thought before you have a working
      prototype. Of course, that's when they'll try to steal it.
