Cyberpunk Red is a paradox. On one hand my inner grognard wants to say the older editions are better, but on the other hand you have stuff like this. This EXACTLY fits my playstyle.

I have made a complete package exec, decked out with a sigma frame and amazing dex and reflex. He is the muscle, and his hired worker is a tech to handle the utility side of things.

I look at the Exec’s team members as an opportunity for players to flex their creative muscles.

As with my excitement for the Fixer class, this is one I fancy playing with my GM on a small scale as a "Mr Johnson" (Shadowrun) character!
Hell yeah! Fixer is my favorite,, and then I'm thinking the Exec! I really would love to play an exec sometime... but I always GM =)

Something really evil/corporate to do as GM, if the Exec player poked their nose somewhere they didn't belong, slowly replace the team members by different members with the same level of loyalty...except the loyalty isn't towart the Exec but toward the corp or the manager that asigned the team to the Exec players, and the team would spoy on the player, reporting on their moves and action

Can you use your exec team member to do hustles on the side as well? In a week of down time it would not be a bad idea to have your team member do some side jobs to help fill the warchest.

Exec is a way better way to view this role than Corpo was. Glad they updated it. Corpo is too broad. You could argue almost anyone working a “legal” job in Night City is a Corpo.

So if a team members loyalty rank is 6 and youre rolling a 1D6 for a loyalty check, then all numbers 1-5 would be successful and the check can only fail hitting a 6 on the roll? Im confused by the wording in the book.
Yes, with checks in CPR you have to beat the DV or target number, ties always go to the defender or fail.
Do team members get Role ranks???... Like would a company Netrunner get 1 or 4 ranks in Netrunner?... Assuming no.
the table sets their skills/stats etc.. they don't improve.

Thanks for the support and idea, I typically do on the larger ones that have distinct sections needed. On role ability breakdowns, it's typically 1 subject going up the ranks, so not as much needed. You'll find them on our deep dive series and combat crash courses and coming to all gm round tables very soon =)
