Everything is so beautiful in there. However, the situation with the mosquitos seams insane. Which of course is nature, but still is difficult for humans. And of course, it’s worth it. Congratulations for your content, I truly love it.
What a beautiful place! I got hurt back in 2018, had to abandon the adventure at Big Bear, that’s literally 10% of the trail. My lower back was like “nope, I’m done with this crap” 😅 and I had to quit, it took me a whole month to get there, I took 9 full zeroes in Idyllwild trying to recover but wasn’t able to continue past the San Gorgonio mountains. It was a great experience, I’ll never forget.
They do not fit in the bear can. After finishing the coffee I rinse it a few times (drink the rinse water) then it’s my regular water bottle throughout the day. By the time night comes it’s had at least a gallon of water in it, so I consider it clean.

2016: I, too, did P & M same day. The bushwack descent to my cs at Palasades Lk over rocks/snow cooked me! 1 pass/day in the future 🤦♂️😬😵💫
I did one pass a day when I hiked the JMT. This time I thought “we’re 800 miles in, we can do two passes!”….. should have stuck to one 😅
