Dang Justin and Anna, we just missed you guys. Did the JMT and camped at Thousand Island Lake on the night of the 3rd and hiked into Red's Meadow on the 4th! We even did a mile down the PCT (I took the wrong trail...) before realizing it and coming back up to the Lake and taking the correct trail. Just missed you two, darn! Well, I know your Sierra experience has been fantastic and the JMT for us was great too. Cheers!
Fabulous. I love the sentiment regarding freedom and independence and what it takes to create a trail as magnificent as the PCT. We have some magnificent trails in Britain, but nothing on the scale of PCT, CDT & AT. Enjoy!

Yosemite! Enjoyed a brief stop on the valley floor after my only PCT side trip: TM>Clouds Rest> overnight >Half Dome> Valley. Easy/lucky permit. Glad to be back at Tuolumne Meadows heading N. Was it 100f in the valley?

Fun side trip! Yep, 100 in the valley. Didn’t cool off until midnight (at least until sleeping was comfortable) 🥵
