Well, 2 vastly different distros, both have great strengths can be loved for. April will be great for Ubuntu users🎉 Also, GNOME 45.2 is coming to Ubuntu as well soon, it's in 70% of the phased seeding, probably good to know. Folks can check apt policy gnome-shell to see the progression
@@TheLinuxITGuybro can you make a video for manually adding os to grub & how to use grub customizer tool . I installed win11+prime os+ fedora But grub menu not showing prime os .it's only shows win11 and fedora 😢😢

Just for info, the fact that one distro uses wayland (ubuntu) and the other uses x11 (arch) makes the memory comparison uneven. That's why there is such a difference in memory consumption. I'm pretty sure that arch is lighter on ressources than ubuntu for an equivalent system. I'm quite unhappy right now with ubuntu, specially about them forcing on snap which is terrible. Many applications crash because of snap, and require manual .deb installation to work fine again.
Thanks for pointing that out. I don’t like snaps either. I wish they would just give the user the option to use snaps or not. Forcing Linux users to use something is sort of an oxymoron for Linux.

I'm not sure how this is a comparison. Arch is for computer geeks who like to tinker endlessly with their OS. Ubuntu is for people who want to actually use their computers. Nothing wrong with either one but not really a good comparison.
This was an excellent comparison, especially for a noob like me who didn't understand the differences. I tried Ubuntu, then switched to CachyOS and was confused by the differences. This video helped me soo much.
Saying ubuntu is for people who want to actually use their computers is so full of bad faith. As soon as you have a problem and that problem is solved in a new version of a software, you have to either wait forever for the fix to land in the official repos or to battle with a custom PPA or worst compiling it yourself. And snap apps are slow and bugged half of the time with missing rights and configs
@@RottenMuLoT I'm no fan of snaps but I've never had updates nuke my system on any debian based distro. They do so regularly on arch based systems. Most ppl do not need bleeding edge software still in alpha stage.
Comparing 2 of my least favourite distros lol, I just don't like Ubuntu and would prefer just Debian over it and I don't really care nor have the time to customize the OS to the extreme that Arch Linux provides
Adult, mature Linux users know that there is no such as "one distro is better than..." There is a distro virtually for anyone, and none of them are objectively better than the others to everyone universally.
I like Linux Mint better than both. Never really had an interest in Arch and I'm even a software engineer. Maybe someday I'll try it but Mint has just been too good to me.
Don't know why but Ubuntu always feels me so polished than other gnome ❤❤
Yea, they've perfected that layout. Thanks for watching.
use Linux Mint, its more polished than Ubuntu, for your kind information Mint is also based upon Ubuntu.

Nice! Thanks for the tidbit.

Arch looks so plain 👀

There are many packages that are not supported by Arch support only ubuntu and centos such as rita, zeek, etc.

Yea depends on what you’ll be using your machine for.
Makes as much sense as saying, "A car is always better than a truck." As in, none at all.
