    Thanks for the review, Tom!
As a designer of the game I want to mention, that aliens don't have to agree which symbol to draw and each alien can draw their own version. As one of the consequences this allows me as an alien to give false information to the human side when human knowledge of certain adjective does not do me any good, but is clearly beneficial for my rival. Perhaps you'll like this better than your home rule :)
I'll make sure you get a copy of the second English print which fixes the Heavy/Light problem you mentioned, adds a "hard mode" with 5 objects to collect and addresses some other minor issues as well.

So each alien can draw their own symbol on the same board and then the humans have to figure it out? I see this being interesting with two aliens, but with three you'd default to the majority, no? (btw love the game, we've had a lot of fun making up the phonetics of the alien language as we reveal the symbols)

@@Raklarpt thanks, glad that you like the game. With 3 aliens you can easily get 3 different opinions, especially with experienced players on the alien side :)

I believe the game is much better with that rule. We played it yesterday (without that rule) and every game was won by the "Alien" that acted first in a round (i think the red player), simply by making a point every round first. This is too big of an advantage, even if there a less "objects" total on the plate for that player. We felt it was too unbalanced for that reason and I personally did not enjoy it as much as i would have liked. With this rule the other aliens might have a better chance.

I think they fixed the heavy/light issue, in my copy there is no "light" instead there's a "bright."

I want to try the game after watching review.
I do think your complaint (while a mild one) about the antonyms doesn't make sense. First, even though light and heavy are both on the board, maybe the humans have only had a chance to learn heavy, but don't know light. Then the alien can use NOT-heavy instead of having to use the light symbol. Also, and I don't know the rules, words have multiple meanings. So I don't understand why using NOT-light for dark would be inappropriate. This would only be a problem if the rules state that light is specifically only for light in weight.

This game could very easily be turned into a language learning tool. I'm thinking Chinese will be an easy one to adapt to. Expansions, please!

Hi, actually, the Chinese version will be available soon from Broadway Toys Limited. They are making some extras for Chinese edition, but it is not a learning tool though )

I love your reviews. I'm curious if you could add the MSRP to your information / overview about the game? Thanks...

Deanna McIntyre That's useless. Just visit CoolStuffInc and look it up there. But why is it useless. Because you never actually pay that price if you price shop online.

    • @mcintyredeanna
      @mcintyredeanna 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

I respectfully disagree that's it's useless. Not everyone shops exclusively online and the MSRP helps to see the expected production value from the design team's point of view.
How exciting for you though to think what a great deal you got when you find it online?

Also value/prices change over time. That information would be usefull for a limited time only and the videos might possibly be up forever.

You can look up the price.
Obviously for us it is comfortable if he would do the work, but it is laziness. I'd appreciate links not only to the BGG page, but to other reviews, links to online shops in America and Europe where I can buy the game, links to similar games, links to the author's and the publisher's previous designs, etc. But it is work for them, and it takes away the time for other reviews.

You can look up all the information they give. The MSRP helps the public to understand a level of the cost of the game for the creator / publisher. I don't believe it's any less important than the game designer, length of play time and intended play age.
Just because you don't see the value doesn't mean it's not there for some. It was a request, not a demand. None of us really need these videos at all. They assist us in making a judgment about a product. I believe it's beneficial, I've requested it's addition. No stress either way. If it's added and you don't see the benefit, your eyes will adjust to look around it. I love these videos and I'm looking for them to add a little value to my time and how and where I get information about possible game purchases.
Thanks for your opinions on my opinion.

How else will you learn the alien's language? When they land you will know how to communicate.
