This video is not surprising. A chevy ss with bolt ons generally sees 400 rwhp and g8s usually see 370. Only difference is the cam if you think about it. Oh and 0.2L which won’t help too much
@@nufnuffz28 must of done more HP, But I believe the stock ls3 cam is good for both N/A and Boosted applications when it comes down to talking about stock cams and whenever we plan staying N.A for a while and then adding boost in the future , Love the content you guys make man very informative to say the least
@carguygibby awesome. There's a guy on the g8 owners page that has a FBO, gear, and converter with the stock L76 cam that ran 11.8 few years ago. Idk if he still stock cam or not now though. Always love seeing oem cam upgrade builds that put out good numbers and times
Hard to beat a stock cam really. We've been 10s with 2 different bolt on full street cars....stock cam and all. Btw...you're no where near fbo. We made 470whp/470wtq with a bolt on ls3 5gen and 451whp/423wtq wuth a bolt on ls6.
Never said we were full bolt on or even close to it. This was literally just for someone that wanted to get rid of DOD. It has cats and the stock mid muffler.......
My Caprice made 394hp and around 372 torque with a LS3 cam, headers, and no cats.

Correct. G8s are usuallyva little less than 370, but the 350-360 range is more common.
The cam in the G8s is very bad!

When going with a stock ls3 cam did you have to replace the l76 springs?
We always replace thwm with fresh LS3 springs
