Thanks, dude! This video helped me replace my main drive belt on my John Deere STX38 riding mower without having to spend the money taking it to a repair shop! It only cost me the $28 for a new belt and some time on a Saturday morning with my teenage son working together to do the fix!

👍 don't bother with the oem hood, the plastic was crap, even if you find a new one it will crack almost immediately. Try to find a poulan pro metal hood on eBay, you'll have to do just a little fanagling but it will work and outlast the JD plastic hood hands down.
Those hoods are now selling for $430.00 new as of May 2021.
What size drive belt is it?
The video says it's for both belts you only changed one you didn't change the one on the deck plus I want to know what what size pulleys were on the deck but it didn't show me any of that
I need to figure out how to modify my black deck STX38 to accept the yellow deck. I didn't do enough homework to know the black deck STX's are so CRAPPY. Can't change the spindles, have to replace the entire stupid deck?
