      On the counter point, there is NOTHING that plays like Yugioh.
      Yugioh is much nuance and still boasts far more micro-interactions in almost every game. I still enjoy Lorcana, Vanguard, Digimon and the like, but it just doesn't give the same feeling that Yugioh does...
      In fact, I don’t think any card game invokes the same feelings that Yugioh can provide when it comes to interaction.
      The unique nature of Yugioh is something I can never move away from.

      @@cbgg1585yes I do agree nothing is more anger invoking than yugioh. The game where if you’re not going first and don’t draw the perfect hand you lose by turn 2… and not to mention the $1000 deck cost just not to even play more than 3 cards half of the games

    My take on this is that if you’re locals provide pre orders, take them. Some shops charge about 100$-200$ depending on the nation. Usually that’s a great price to pay over time or to be set on a reasonable price that doesn’t ruin your fundings with on release prices and quantity.

    With only exception on C tier.... Everyone keeps telling me Mediell is crap and C tier.... For some reason I find it's like B tier. I beat A tier decks, not consistently, but still not that rare, so some C tiers are just slept on. So new players need to be careful there too... When it cames to V series, V my be a little broken based on the community, but by far is the fairest and most consistent series out of every other series, because v series could get you a good playable deck for cheap, specially the vanguard units, and their probably the most powerfull and scraiest in terms of offence with multuple attacks on 20-30k something each attack or with 3 attacks as heavy as 50-70k each, their also probably the most brutal series. Overall their probably better then the other series at some point. The best part about V is that you can use almost any card in any deck with no problem as long as their from the same clan.
    While overdress on the other hand is kinda once you chose a deck your stuck with that deck and its support unless you change your deck entirely, it may be more player friendly but its also not the fairest one because instead of being a pay to win, this series is a pay to play kind, because you can barely play the game with only common rare cards in the deck. And the nations playstyle is not as consistent as V clans so you'll have a hard time mixing decks.
    But at the end of the day Vanguard is still the best and fairest cardgames out there.

    what a great video! Im currently thinking of getting back into Vanguard (I played a bit with friends near the end of the G era with Chronojet) while I play YGO as my main one.
    Currently I'm considering playing when the Divine Z Start Up Trial decks comes out and playing at my locals Fated Clash release tournament.
    Is this a good starting point, or is there anymore I should look into potentially buying/ knowing about before jumping back in? thanks again !!

    • @sheriffvanguard6556
      @sheriffvanguard6556  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Glad to hear you're interested! The new start up trial decks are a bit awkward, a large majority of the cards in it are vanilla versions of cards releasing in fated clash (to make them easier for new players to learn) and even then once upgraded aren't very viable. If you're looking for a starter deck to help you get back into the game, something like the tohya starter deck for keter sanctuary is really good. Fated clash though is a great set with useful and good cards, so best of luck at the tournament if you decide to go!

    • @sheriffvanguard6556
      @sheriffvanguard6556  ปีที่แล้ว

      the starter decks are roughly 10 dollars homie, its the stand-up decksets and stride decks that cost 50 bucks because they're meant to be more advanced decks (which are still cheaper than commander decks that serve the same purpose???)

    I entirely disagree that Messiah isn’t playable outside of the box. It’s just as playable as Chronojet out of the box, in my opinion even more so.
    I also recommend that you don’t preach doom and gloom about Luard and Shiranui when you’re making a video for newer players.

    • @sheriffvanguard6556
      @sheriffvanguard6556  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Never said Messiah wasn't playable out of the box, just that chronojet is more complete by comparison. Also wasn't necessarily trying to doom on shiranui or luard, just talking about them (and how they'll likely be good decks again with their track record). Believe me when I say I don't want to scare new players away either, I made the video so people could get into vanguard easier after all (plus I believe stride decks are good for the game anyways, good decks at an affordable price is good for players who can't afford something like youthberk)

      most recent is stride to victory which is JP only and has cards in the original era (so good card pool but will have some gameplay mechanics that are no longer really in standard)

    I feel like standard needs at least 60 cards to run. I'm a bav main and it's hard to be creative when there's only like 10 slots left, after inlcuding all the triggers, arms, rideline and perfect guards 😅😅

    Is this game super competitive? Like I tried to play yugioh once but everyone at the card shop I went to was super mean and didn't want to teach me anything. Is it any different in the vanguard community?

    • @sheriffvanguard6556
      @sheriffvanguard6556  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Kinda depends, there's definitely people that play to win and build top tier decks to win but a big grab for vanguard is the neat decks so a lot of players stick to their favorites regardless of how good they are. Bc of that, my locals was super supportive and helped me make my first deck when i started out. And now we still do the same helping new players that are interested. To answer your question I want to say no its not SUPER competitive but again in depends on where you look

      No it's a few sets behind, they've been making slow but somewhat consistent effort to update the game and add new sets though

    tbh, 10k triggers, ride deck, imaginary gift and overtriggers made the game impalatable to me.
    5k triggers were fine, you just needed more defensive options. Also, stride was definetly ruining the game economy, but in the other hand, you had a huge diversity of extra deck builds.
    And the power crept that Imaginary gifts made just make premium a fast forward format that they needed to errata old cards into super-duper-hyper-mega awesome versions for them to be used again.
    Also, because current stadard has the ride deck and you're guaranteed to ride that card over having different strategies and they took out the most power crept mechanic ever made, imaginary gifts, most new bosses have little impact on premium while having the same build over and over in standard.
    and tbf, Bushiroad never invested in the game like LSS does with FAB nor have a good eye for social formats like EDH ( mtg) or UPF (FAB), making the game even more monotuos.
