    Me when I want to test a deck build: "Let's join a lolcals tournament, surely this will work!"
    4 hours later..
    If it tops or wins: "Time to make a 4 minute video explaining my tech & build!"
    if it flops: "Why the helll does my opponent always get defensive triggers, heals 3x, & get a defensive OT on their 6th damage!?"

    I dunno if it's just me....but playtesting the deck on online simulator (be it the official Dear Days or CFA) feels like an entirely different experience than playtesting it in real life (sometimes proxies are required)
    When it comes to deciding card ratios, like whether certain cards need to stay at 4, or 2-3 copies are sufficient, the online simulators don't really give me a more accurate reflection on how ratios might impact the chance to see my cards. I originally thought maybe it was due to my shuffling techniques and frequencies, but after countless testings I have realized that is not the case at all.
    So personally I strongly encourage people to playtest the deck in real life (try proxies if necessary) before you commit the budget. Lots of cards and combos work in theory and they may happen to be too piece reliant in reality. If DivineZ anime didn't show you such example already (thanks to Mikoto) , playing it live will make your ratio judgment much easier.

    I like to look at deckbuilding, after the mandatory core engine of any given archetype, like this:
    "Does your deck already punch really hard inherently? Then maybe look at cards that help you not die longer"
    Or
    "Does your deck already handle the grind game well inherently? Then maybe look at cards that help you punch a bit harder"
    I feel a lot of times people look at already heavy hitting decks and double down on it or look at grindy decks and try to make them even grindier.

    nah its no longer bout choosing a clan or nation you wanna play now, its mor bout choosing that one card you like the most, then build you deck around it cause most good supports thats cheap only support one boss unit and all good generic supports are hard to get from pack/expensive RRR cards

    • @passturnVG
      @passturnVG 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ones like Varga, Androld, and Veleno are pretty playable out of set, but would like some support from previous sets. Rezael and Krisrain are in a similar spot but it's more exaggerated for support.

    damnnn i miss v era where budget decks were as defensively weak but offensively deadly, half the common/rare cards are good supports can be used in literally any deck of the same clan, and literally hybrid decks were possible changing playstyle mid way like there is no problem

    This question is not so much about deck building but about rulings. If I activate a skill and the start of the skill is free but at some point of the skill there’s a cost can I activate the first part of the skill without paying a cost and choose not to activate the rest of the skill?

    • @janniksotirov
      @janniksotirov หลายเดือนก่อน

      An example would be “dark bond abyss surga and dargage”

    • @passturnVG
      @passturnVG หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yep, you must resolve everything up to where it mentions the cost. In Surga's case you do the top deck check, and then you can choose then to pay the cost or not.
