    I like where the fuel tap is. Technically it’s in a superior position. It won’t break off and it’s at the very bottom center of the tank so you can get all the fuel 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @TrailBoundco
      @TrailBoundco  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've never had an issue breaking fuel taps but interesting thought of it being in the center so you dont have to jump around on the bike to get a little bit closer to the truck haha. I dont feel like that outweighs the fact that the bike flips over and you can't easily turn the gas off so it stops pouring fuel out the carb

    How do you make the bike leaner and how do you know if its correctly jetted? Could you make a video??

    • @TrailBoundco
      @TrailBoundco  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      when its loading up and blurgly its to rich, also a common sign is lots of oil out of the pipe. if you can rev it a bunch and clean it out then its crips for a little bit thats usually to rich. there's a number of options to change in the carberator which is considered 'jetting'. the easiest but most expensive way is to buy a Lectron or smart carb which is dead simple to adjust. second easiest is JD jet kit where you put it in and they tell you settings to change to make leaner or richer. or the cheapest is buy new jets and change them out but you have to research and learn what to change when and takes more knowledge but I'm sure you could find a friend to help you

  • @UTPP

    I've had one of these for 8 months now. If you check my latest video and go to 12:12 on the time line you'll see my jetting settings. My bike runs mint now. 👌

      I had a 2014 Sherco 300 and also had good luck with the Suzuki NECJ needle. Same pilot and I think 1st or 2nd clip. I ran 5-10k elevation and would usually run around a 152 main (Suzuki Triple Tapers usually require leaner main jets).

      Can compare the 2018 with 20 and up Shercos. The new bikes are better, small changes but effective. I stop riding Ktm since I bought my 300 6 days 2019. She gave me so much trouble that one Friday driving to and enduro I'll stop to check the Sherco 2020. Got to the enduro with 2 bikes got 2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. • @njmxjunkie3128
      @njmxjunkie3128 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TrailBoundco Well the mix for the bike should be super rich the first couple tanks of gas afterwards you can adjust your pre-mix ratios to lean it out

    • @PNWEnduro
      @PNWEnduro 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@njmxjunkie3128 more premix in the fuel equals leaner. Jetting is a mixture of fuel(gas) and air. Premix is a lubricant not a fuel so more oil in the gas leans out the air/fuel mixture. The mix should be 50:1 as per the manual. This is not 1980.
