    Young lady thank you so much for this detailed review. I'm still rolling on my 2012 Beta 498 4T. I had a KTM 300 I bought new in 05 and raced in the desert. At 62 years old I'm looking at getting another 300 and have it down between the Beta and Sherco. Mine will be used for mellow trail riding, dual sport and occasional "hard enduro" sections. I too, like your husband like the ease of working on a simple CDI carb bike.

    One of the best dirt bike review videos I've seen. And you are a very talented rider! Being able to ride in that terrain while standing for long periods is impressive!

    I own a few KTM's and love TIP's... but also love looking at all sorts of two stroke bikes. Your video was awesome, very intuitive and interesting! Love the explanations and thank you for posting the links of all the accessories - I ended up buying both clutch and brake levers and looking to buy the foot pegs. Great show!!!

    Good review!
    I have been really happy with my Cycra PRO BEND ULTRA W/HCM CLAMP. It took a couple large falls(5-7ft) plus a bunch of little ones before they finally bent enough to hit my levers. And the handle bar clamp has stopped them from ever rotating. I do have the bullet proof threaded inserts for the bar ends if that matters.

      +1 Cycra Pro Bend CRM made in USA. Those Acerbis guards move inward after a crash.

    • @rose.lantaigne
      @rose.lantaigne  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheDirtyBirchTrails you swapped the front end on your Xtrainer? I hear that lots of people do that. We are thinking more along the lines of a cargo (painter’s van). Not the newer sprinter style vans. A little too pricey at the moment. Probably the Chevy extended cargo…🤞

    Really good review Rose. I have the Tusk hand guards on my Sherco, they have held up well over the 175 hours I have on the bike and are also inexpensive. Have you considered shaving the seat down so you can touch the ground a little easier in the technical terrain?

    • @rose.lantaigne
      @rose.lantaigne  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ll definitely check out the Tusk hand guards. Thanks for the recommendation!
      I ran a shaved seat on my KTMs for years and finally decided a few years ago to ditch it. It’s nice for touching, but I find that it hinders how I slide up/down the seat when cornering. I like the feel of a straight seat for that reason. I move/slide better on the bike. We have a little practice track that has lots of berms/corners and the stock seat works well for that application. It also forces me to “dab” more carefully etc.
      And thank you so much for taking the time to listen to my review! I’m a fan of yours, and so is my husband. We really enjoy your content. I’m thrilled that you left a comment on my video! 🙌

    Way to go N. Ontario girl from 2022 KTM 300 XC TPI in Ontario.
    I have to say I preferred the KYB suspension on my former YZ250's for trail riding over the air KTM's.
    I like the Cycra Ultra Pro CRM, Centre Reach Mount, Complete Racer Pack Handguards.
    They have held up very well for me.

    I've heard riders complain about fasteners coming loose on a Sherco. I have owned Husky, Beta and KTM and had the same issues. It's just a Euro thing. Once you go overa all the fasteners on the bike when new and tighten everything then issue is solved. That's been my experience.

    You should try the SxS Burly Handguards. I know, I know, they're flag guards. But you'll never find a flag guard as strong. Also, consider replacing your brake pedal tip with the TRS Unbreakable Pedal Tip.

    Great video! Do you have any comments about the weight of the bike? The Shercos are a bit heavier than the other brands.

    • @rose.lantaigne
      @rose.lantaigne  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As a smaller rider, I had no issues moving up to this bike. I was previously on a KTM 200 xc-w, which was definitely lighter than my Sherco. However, the suspension and geometry of the Sherco more than makes up for the extra few pounds, in my opinion. I adjusted just fine. It rides way better than my KTM. It might be a tad heavier when I drop it, but I just make sure to stay on top of my fitness.

  • @randytidwell5836

    i chech the Flo web page out and didnt see where it advertised being a liter pull. i also look for a easier pull clutch lever. i have not tried a Clake one easy clutch because its so expensive but it suppose to reduce the pull by 75%
    one other thing is if i understand some other rider they say under the clutch master cylinder is a number and that is the plumger in it and the pull can be changed by differant numbers. it maybe just a ktm thing but it might be something to look into. also a midwest mountain engineering leaver also reduces pull.

    • @rose.lantaigne
      @rose.lantaigne  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your feedback. I know a few people who run the Clake and swear by it. I personally never tried one! I also know someone who loves their Midwest lever. What I like about the Flo lever so far is the shape of it and quick adjustability feature. It’s definitely an upgrade over stock for smaller hands. But I think you’re right, it doesn’t necessarily reduce clutch pull but instead repositions how/where your fingers grab the lever (which helps tremendously).
