I can attest that Candy Club gets absolutely jam packed by 11pm almost every single night. It's actually quite an experience, definitely some good memories drinking and dancing with pretty ladies I just met. Everybody is just in a really good mood, good vibe just wants a fun time with good music and drinks are flowing. The only thing is it's so packed that it is HOT HOT HOT hahaha. Man I was sweating after an hour+ there even with some electric fans blowing around.
This was one of the MOST informative videos about the Pattaya night / business scene that I have seen. This guy knows his stuff!!! I am going to watch it again.
Some good bits of information from this bar owner: estimated revenues of his/other bars in the area, number of bars (4,000) in Pattaya, number of women (100,000+) during high season, struggling times in tree town, re-designation of entertainment area to soi buakhao, bars for sale in Myth, and it's hard to make money in this town. He was dropping little nuggets of information throughout the video. I always appreciate this kind of honesty from business owners because it always seems like most bar owners just say "yeah, business is good" when the reality is most bars/clubs in town are struggling and people are losing money and closing shop. It's brutal out here.
Trev your forte is most definitely interviewing. What a great insightful chat. Be great if you could do more of these mate. All the best, oh and Grant seems a lovely guy.
My Thai gf and expat friends love the Candy Bar. It is great to see a bar play Thai music - the girls love it. Have to get in a bit early to grab a table as it gets pretty busy later on. The service is good and the staff are brilliant. Highly recommend.
Hi Trev. Great interview with my little brother. Grant. He’s always very honest about things. I’ve been living here for 8 months now. Candy club is one of the best venues in Pattaya. . Your channel has always been a great guide for people visiting Thailand for the first time. As Grant said completely different if you live here. Keep up the good work buddy. Arsenal forever 😂😂😂😊
Trev , another great video , I was there last month , about 1 am , it was absolutely rocking , we managed to share a table , it is a great place , mainly Thai music , but no problem for me , my first experience of pay when you buy the drinks, there is no tab , maybe a genius idea , you can easily control your spending , a great experience for me , many Thai ladies happy and dancing, they had to kick me out at 4 am
I stayed near soi bukhao my first time and i was worried that there wouldnt be much around. I was totally wrong, it was my favourite area. Everything you need in one place!
Change is necessary and inevitable. When Grant mentions Thai clubs, there is a certain irony. When Treetown was mostly flat gravel, there used to be a row of small, Thai karaoke shacks along the side where Buzzin Bar was. With the number of farang bars declining, I wonder if Treetown will once again have a number of Thai bars/ karaoke clubs???
Candy Club is a real good spot on the corner. So busy, even in low season! Before your video some months ago I was saying to my friend, this was a real good idea to open Candy club, as who opened it was very smart! as he has chosen the location and style wisely😊 having a Thai band and playing Thai morlum music, attracts more Thai girls, who loves to take the foreigner customer there to have fun with them there😊 also the staff is very nice! Stayed just across the road for a month in the Sports Bar . I will deffo be going back in here from the end of December 2024 and hopefully see some recognised faces again 😁
I was in Candy Club a few months ago. Agree with pretty much everything that was said. Not overly expensive: decent band playing a lot of Thai music. Mix of Thai and Farang. Busy but set us up with a table and fan just outside the main bar / music area ( perfect for an old git like me). Nice bar with nice atmosphere. Definitely going back.
Was better when it was a open bar you could sit on the outskirts close enough to view the talent, but far enough away from the loud music (just my 2 pence worth )

Candy Floss is definitely a place I visit on late nights in Tree Town after I hit up Rock Station. Friendly staff and great music (especially if you like the occasional Isan songs).
Dude says he lives in Empire condo. He's around the corner from me, quiet, lavish looking tower. And as for Candy Floss, two Thai friends took me there months ago (one doesn't live in my city, but used to). The singers were great, & super engaging, and the ladies liked the spot. Now, Candy Club? When I lived in a hotel, the desk staff and a tenant wanted to take me dancing there one night last year, but when they knocked on my door after they left work, I was still en route back from another section of town by baht bus, and ended up walking a ton. Thai women love Candy Club, I've never been. Right before I found my spot, some friends I was kicking it w/ in Tree Town were headed there, and someone I'd recently met wanted me to come w/, to show her where it was. I told her it was literally around the corner, and that the other ladies know where it is & were going. Intriguing to hear they've added glass enclosures (and why)
Hey Trev! What’s the name of the house band at the Candy Club? The drummer looks like he has some pretty decent chops. Nice double strokes between the hi hat and the snare!!! Can I find them on TH-cam?

Flights for November are coming in quite fair at this time. GULF Air was £620 with a 2 hour lay over in Bahrain but thats just sold out. I paid extra for leg room and Hainan Air are offering some good deals but 5 hour lay overs ....Emirates are starting at £900 and well over which is allot for them for November Yes the cheap deals are gone now......But considering I was paying £560 in 1990 and £620 in the early 2000s I think it's still quite cheap....and with a decent hotel in Amsterdam now been E200 a night Thailand is still super value once landed....and 20 euros a drink in Ibiza say no more.
