My uncle owned a precision engineering company in Copthorne not far from east Grinstead where your shop was. A few years ago a close friend of his who lived next to his business called the police when he spotted some robbers loading huge quantities steel and alloy bronze rods etc onto the back of one of my uncles "own lorries." He then phoned to warn my uncle who lived 7 miles away about what was happening. My uncle then jumped into his car and raced towards his factory only to be confronted by his own lorry driving towards him on the other side of the road. He then "RAMMED" his own lorry off the road with his Range Rover and the thieves jumped out and ran away. When he eventually got to his factory, he had to wait 2 HOURS before the police eventually turned up. Understandably he was not too happy with them and told them so in quite a vociferous way. The officers told my uncle that ........."THEY DIDN'T NEED THIS CRAP!" (And then got back in their police car and drove off) My uncle was eventually charged with dangerous driving with intent to endanger life while the robbers were never caught.

Im sorry to hear about your uncles ordeal. It’s not uncommon. They have gone after my brother at school for defending himself. They have no remorse about trying to ruin good people’s lives.
When the Met was first formed, it was rejected by the public.
The public knew they would become a standing army used against them.
What the authorities did was to bring the Met in as an “investigative unit”. They would be Sherlock Holmes and citizens would still be doing the arrests etc.
Of course. Once the camel has it nose under the tent, the idea was expanded to over rule the initial rejection. Today, we have just what they feared.
The police are here to keep you in line and project the establishment. They want you in fear and defenceless. They will go after anyone who defends themselves too well.
I regard our lives as the standard of value we judge the world against. Anything that is life affirming, which is in rational self interest, like self defence, I regard as moral and ethical.
Anything that goes against our rational self interests, like initiative violence against innocent people, theft or the police going after someone who just survived a horrendous ordeal that almost cost their life, as evil.
      There are no good police.

As Paul said in his first video, they want a quick easy win to tick a box for reporting that's why they focus on doing decent people and motorists - all easy touches. Their behaviour during covid lockdowns was showing their true colours and I think the majority of the public now see them in their true light which is not to support anyone other than leftist views and themselves.

Remember catching a 6.5 burglar in my home. I ended up fighting with him & holding him for the police.. I kid you not it took the police over 25 minutes to turn up even though the police station was less than a mile away.. I was more pissed off with the police than the burglar & told them to fuck off because you lot are absolutely useless.. I ended up letting the burglar go about 20 minutes in not before taking a letter from his pocket with his name & address & giving him a good slap & a warning..
5 minutes in that situation is like an eternity.. Luckily he was unharmed & on his own pluss I'm 6.5 & a big guy myself with bottle....

    Thank Paul,
    Again very helpful to us.
Its very interesting the Police had come by earlier to inspect the shop.
They looked around the shop and discussed the cans of vegetable spray identifier.
Knowing they were legal but still told you not to use them.
    Then the robbers come again.
And the police are told to stand down when 911 was called.
(In part one )you over hear two cops outside the shop saying look at all this high end stuff in the shop, he got what he deserved.
Questions are more with the Police than your shop or the robbers.
Internal affairs should investigate the police
(Example) cell phone records and calls to whom during time around the robbery
Sometimes the good guys are the bad guys.
And the bad guys are still out there.
Usually when there is abuse of a system it continues until the investigators are investigated.
    Good luck

Great video Paul! I’m not sure if you remember me from a few years back when I had my own watch channel? I have appeared a few times on Archie’s Channel, and also worked alongside TGV on the Urban Gentry many years ago. I was doing ok, but these kinds of experiences are the reasons I decided not to get too heavily involved in selling watches. I’ll still buy the odd one here and there to repair and sell, but would be worried about doing it to the level of a dealer. The police give no support, and we’re not even allowed to properly defend ourselves. I have my own experiences where I have had parts stolen from cars on my driveway, and the police do nothing. Where I was told if I catch anyone trying to steal parts while on my own property, if I try to fight them off then I will be prosecuted. I suffered an attack years ago….. was walking home one night and saw a guy who had a woman against the wall by the throat and hitting her. She was screaming and I couldn’t just walk past. I intervened and told him to pack it in, and he let go of her and ran off. I asked if she was ok, she said thanks and ran off. I carried on walking home and about five minutes later a car pulls up, and the attacker jumped out with a baseball bat. I squared up to him but ended up taking a beating. I don’t remember much, but remember lying in the road trying to crawl to the pavement, then police and an ambulance turning up where I was taken to hospital. To cut a long story short, the police said I should have called them, and the beating I took was my own fault. Even though this was obviously a violent guy, who could have killed that woman, it was my own fault because I put someone else’s safety before my own. When we both know the police wouldn’t have tried to protect her unless they had ten police cars and 20 officers present. I was also told that if I had managed to take the bat from the guy and give him a hiding, I’d have been prosecuted. So that’s where we’re at. If someone attacks you or your property, you’re supposed to hide and call the police, who’ll take an hour to turn up by which time you’re dead. And if you see someone being attacked or a serious crime being committed, just hide and call the police, and let the victim die. After my attack no one one was found responsible. And I’m sure no one has been caught for yours. You already said in the first video that the thieves were let off. Makes me so damn angry! Now we’re in a situation where we know that there is a risk wearing a high end watch. You’ve done amazingly hilighting this and trying to get the lost and stolen register sorted. Again what do we do if someone tries to steal our watch? We’re damned if we let them take it, and damned if we try to defend ourselves and “harm” the thief in the process! Sorry for the rant, but keep up the good work. Out of all the watch channels on TH-cam I respect you the most.

Paul, this is what I have heard from my cousin who lives in Beverley and he wont even travel to any part of London as he said its too dangerous. Gangs and thugs all over and they are attacking or robbing people all over the place. I wish I could say "Stick to your Guns" but the way Great Britain and the rest of the EU is about self defense I don't think it will change because the criminals know they have the upper hand. Only in Switzerland are the people allowed to have firearms . I have a flat in Athens and we don't keep anything there due to the fact that Greece has the same laws about defending your personal property.

The police were very good and caught them but it was the courts that let us down, the thieves were up for multiple crimes including rape would you believe, but because they came from well to do families all they got was 2 years probation even though the detective in charge thought they had them bang to rights, my cousin who was on medication from a previous robbery with violence was so upset lost his cool in court and was fined for contempt and threatened with jail.

These professional criminal gangs, are very well connected (police, local council, lawyers, banks, watch makers/dealers, and security firms, also known as mafia). U were selected as an easy target, weeks/months of planning based on location and the known police response. Today's robberies are allowed to take place, with local insider knowledge feeding the executioner's. Perhaps at the next London Watch event, Mayor of London, head of Met, MP'sand victims of robberies (even a big cheese from Rolex) can attend a presentation on the subject of watch crime, and what distrust it brings to the public. You are a experienced, well connected business man, who can give great guidance (consultation).

Atleast here in India we are allowed to defend ourselves using a weapon in case of life threatening situations. Only thing we have to do is provide proof and that’s it.

This second robbery, thank God you had the foresight in adding more security in your retail premises, as you say that gave you and Alfie time to prepare, as things
could have been much worse if they got through the second door, it would not surprise me if some of them were involved in your first robbery, or knew people that were.
    Utter scumbags.

Hi Paul enjoy tour channel. I am an American and have lived in Florida all my life. I have always been interested in England's history and culture .. My wife and I enjoy your TV shows as well. I read the Telegraph and Gordian daily. Now I imagine you think of us Americans as an uncultured lot. But I will tell you I am a senior citizen and have never been robbed in my life. If someone was to beak into your shop as you described in your first video. In Florida you would have had every right to have used deadly force or as in you case shoot the ceiling . I have a concealed carry permit and carry a revolver. We have a stand your ground law. Meaning if attacked you don't have an obligation to retreat. You can defend yourself. That being said I have only had one instance that I brandished the weapon. This was when I was 24 years old and some people were surrounding my vehicle threatening me. I apologize for running on here it is just amazing that you can't defend yourself. I will put on my flame suit, I am not trying to be the ugly American. Just an observation.
