Thank you for showing me a quick way to cut the parchment for the bottom of a round cake pan. I was taught to place the pan on top of the paper and using a pencil trace the pan then cut. Your way is a lot simpler! Also, I want to let you know that I made your sponge cake, the one you bake in a water bath. There were two things I did different. One was add a bit more sugar in the cake and meringue (about 1/3 cup) and 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar in the meringue. The cake turned out wonderful. I used the sponge cake to make a lemon crunch cake. I split each cake in half, brushed with a lemon simple syrup and put a thin layer of lemon curd. Between the cakes I put a layer of pastry cream. I made the sweetened whipping cream and covered the cake with it, then sprinkled toffee bits all over. My family was really pleased with the cake. Thanks again for sharing the recipes and tips.
Thank you very much for this comprehensive introduction to lining baking trays with parchment paper. It is very helpful and I have saved to my baking collection of videos!
omg! can i cry now?? 🥺🥺🥺🥺 ive been struggling with all of type of pan! i dont know how to fold the parchment paper since its so slippery.. THANKYOU SO MUCH for sharing this with us.. 🥰
this is the first time I have come across your tutorial, I loved the way you lined your pans with parchment paper. I have been doing it the hard way all along. I will use your suggestions in the future. Thank you so much. I have subscribed and look forward to your next tutorial.
This was a great tutorial! I used this to make a mold for my loaf pan for a pineapple cake and it worked well. Super easy to put together too. Thank you so much!
What a great tutorial. I only started using parchment paper a few years ago and I wonder how I EVER lived without it! I use a 13 x 9 pan a lot so I will use your technique! I’m going to subscribe and your little one is precious.thanks for sharing!
Omg you're such an angel❤️ I love baking (not a pro of course😁) and putting cake liners is what I am lazy to do. The batter keeps leaking no matter how I cover the bottom. Thanks to this video. Just in time for my baking session today😊😊😊
Thank you very much!
@@PastryLivingwithAya Don't worry Miss Aya, I write in French that your youtube give me very good answer how to line pan with parchment paper. I'm a French Canadian (partly bilingual) from Montreal.
Thank you so much...was looking for a tutorial video like this and here I am. Thank you for this! Very beautiful daughter...got her beauty genes from mummy.😊
Now that’s cool thank you 🙏 so much, for making the part of baking I hate but now it’s going to be fun but mostly it’s gonna make my baking journey just that extra bit more technical perfect to ignite my passion and awaken my inner self from not being able to become a chef when I was young 😢 ❤ but once more you’ve allowed myself to dream again thank you 🙏 sweetheart ❤
This was soooo helpful - but honestly you made it look soo much easier! I’m usually all thumbs and always wrestling my parchment paper to the ground! It seems to always win...but not anymore... hopefully! 😆
I am ABSOLUTELY THRILLED to have just found you!!!! The time this will save me with multiple orders of standard loaves. Going to try this with my 6x3 minis. Thanks so much for this perfect tutorial. I’m now following you as well. 🥚🧈🍌
Hi Aya, I have a 6x2 inch round pan but my cake batter that calls for a 6x3 inch pan. If I line my pan with a 1.5 inch overhang, will my cake rise with the extra batter?
Hello! You don't need to. If you want though, you can spray oil or attach some batter so that it won't move at all but I personally don't do it most of the time simply because I like easy washing for later😁
Your loaf pan cut is genius, especially side my load pan has slanted sides. The perpendicular cut worked perfectly (versus the diagonal cut). Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! You can use the same technique as a regular round pan for an oblong pan. Just cut the bottom with oblong shape and set the sides. It's going to fit to the shape.
What did you think about the tutorial? Let me know!
SO HELPFUL! Thank you for sharing your tips!

Wow, u have helped alot. I have been trying to do that for so long. To cut for beer box or rectangular tin would u do the same as the loaf tins.
I'm so glad! :) Thanks for sharing. I am not exactly sure how the beer box looks like but yes, if the shapes are similar, you can do as the loaf pan!
Thanks for replying. Going to try it been struggling for years

You could when you use a good parchment paper and make sure the papers are layered well especially around the edges to secure the wall!

Hi Chef Aya. Do we need to grease the parchment paper with butter and flour? Thank you in advance.
