Castiel's intro is easily in the top ten first encounters on the show!
Also his line "You don't think you deserve to be saved?" to Dean, that always makes me emotional for how true it is, Dean never believes he deserves anything good.

Yes, Ruby was blonde. Katie Cassidy was the actress, and she had other things to move on to, so they recast the character. Demons "wear a meatsuit" - a human vessel - so they just picked another actress. The actress they picked is Genevieve Cortese; she and Jared met filming this episode, and over the course of this season, they fell in love and got married. They now have 3 kids together.

Re: Ruby - remember that in the Supernatural universe, demons just wear/possess human bodies. Presumably the body she was in before was destroyed in the season three finale encounter with Lilith. It's still Ruby, just in a different body now. Like, remember how Meg possessed Sam a couple seasons back, but it was still Meg inside Sam's body? Similar here. ;)
Castiel's entrance is epic for me, probably my number one favorite character entrance on this show or any other
Yes Misha Collins did one episode of Charmed! Good eye! In the credits he was listed as Cute Boy. 😍 Oh yeah.
Strangely enough, that episode was also about angels!
The actress playing Ruby's is Genevieve Jared/Sam's wife IRL. Their story is very cute. Jared used to sit on the floor staring up at her while she read. Jensen teases him about it at comicon recordings.

This is the season I first started with after I had tried several times with season one and just couldn't get into it, then I was told to try again starting here and I was hooked right away (for obvious *angelic* reasons lol). I've been waiting for you to get here and I'm so incredibly excited to see you discovering this season and esp getting to know Cas, his character and relationship with the boys, Dean esp, is something so dear and special to me and I'm so looking forward to following you along!

Castiel is one of the best characters 😭 youll learn to love him lol hes not always so aggressive and mighty like he is now.

One of the best premieres of any show I have ever watched and that is a pretty long list. At the time I was so excited to see the show go beyond what I was used to watching on tv. I too was confused about Ruby but learned to be patient with this show :)

Honestly wasn't a huge fan at first when I found out they were bringing angels into the mix but Cass ended up being one of my favorite characters also you'll find out more about Ruby and why she's in that body

Angels are real!, that line always hits hard.. "What's the matter Dean, you don't feel like you deserved to be saved?" . Remember that quote it's pretty important. Let's just say this season the War becomes more "Spiritual ". Besides if demons exist, then it's pretty obvious that Angels Do as well. Great Reaction 👍 🇬🇧

If you’re a marvel fan then seasons 4 and 5 are like infinity war and end game. If you stop after 5 technically you have a complete story, Kripke wrote the story to complete at 5s finale. I’m not at all saying the rest of the seasons aren’t worth watching but just that these two are like perfect and even a perfect sort of end despite it not being the end
In case you haven’t heard, the new actress that played Ruby in this is now Jared’s (Sam) real life wife. Being pulled from hell also explains the handprint on Dean’s shoulder. And in case you haven’t realized it, Dean telling Sam he has no memory of Hell was a total lie.
