I just found your channel a day ago. You take a lot of time to explain what and why you are buying the items. I love your teaching style - so much fun to watch and informative.
Ephemera is one of my favorites! I love watching you pick through and take what you know is valuable. Very impressive! I have been picking ephemera up and collecting it until I can determine what is worth selling and what isn't. I have found some really neat things and I love to look through it. Loved joining you! -Amy
I remember how proud my parents were when they displayed the unabridged dictionary on its own desk🙂 Those how-to books/manuals are something I wish my dad had stashed away!
The Santa head you said looked like he was going to the bathroom is actually an ashtray. You put your cigarette in the lip and the smoke comes out his nostrils. I have some other different faces. Always looking for a pixie head one.
Hey there Mr. P.T.! Very cool video, as always! Thank you for the shout-out! (this is Joyce). Always neat seeing you here & there sourcing! I was cracking up when you took Santa into "The Green Room"!! Lol :D Daisy is so cute when she thinks her boyfriend is outside! Keep up the great works!! You inspire us all!! "Happy Trails"! :D
I think that it is great to have small lots of similar themed ephemera. That way if a single item is not worthy enough to sell on its own, you have other items to go with it.
That was an electric refrigerator the box is not for ice. There's ice cube trays should have been there. It was for making ice and also it's a small freesir.
Yes you were right, I was just about drooling over all the ephemera that you found. I'm always drawn to vintage advertising, and the catalogues that you found from the fifties really had some compelling graphics and color advertising. I really liked the Horticulture book with the color pages, and the Home Owners Catalogue with the green cover might have been my favorite. Thanks for the shout out!
Aside from your charm and how interesting you make learning about reselling - i really enjoy that you travel in areas i am familiar with ( I'm from Cortland and worked for years doing school photos out of a studio in Syracuse!) Thanks so much for making it real!
Dom, another great video. It gives me encouragement and reinforcement because that is exactly the paper I try to find. Sold some English fishing gear Catalogs from the 1930s for $100 + that I received for zero dollars. Thanks again, Randy.
I 💚 the green bathroom! Usually there’s one thing that’s been replaced (like the toilet) and you’ll have a modern white eyesore ruining the rest of the set. Also I’ve never seen all green before just tons and tons of pink and some blue. And look at those solid wood drawers… damn that’s nice. 😅
OMG the top shelf of that bookcase on the 2nd floor!!! Gorgeous pitcher and glasses, and the cream casserole w/dishes...very mid century or art deco looking. And that mirror on the bed!!!! Wow! I would have scooped those up for sure for myself, if not to resell! : )
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter I totally get that! : ) And I am the opposite in knowledge. Learn stuff from you every time and I've been going to estate sales and eBaying for over 20 years. As much as we know, there's 100x more we don't! LOL

I laughed as usual at the lovely ladies PTTHStylin segment but it was nothing compared to Santa Poo. I literally yelled out "Dom, OMG!" It scared Raven and Capoochino! I could not stop laughing. Then you took him into the bathroom! 😂 When the toilet flushed, I totally lost it. 🤣 Dom, I think those musty smells got to your head! Loved this one! 😁
Thanks for the Super Thanks, Lina! I have probably sniffed way to many comic books in my life. I can seriously sniff them and tell you reliably what decade it came from lol. A bunch of people liked the Santa bit. One person got mad at me for it lol. More fun videos coming!
That wasn't ordinary ephemera. That was mid-century modern ephemera. A lot of the plans that you showed and the catalogs were things that were in every mid-century modern house in the 50s and 60s. The plans you showed we're all stuff that was in my house and all my friends houses when I was growing up.

The refrigerator was electric, from the 50's. It did not require a ice block. That compartment was the freezer, just about big enough for ice cube trays.
Wonder what the person that collected all those manuals did for a living? Our first home in Huntington, NY had the knotty pine walls and bar in the basement. The home was built in 1953/54. The gentleman was a brick mason. We had two fireplaces - one in the living room and one in the basement. Basement fireplace was all brick w/ knotty pines cabinets. The LR had a blonde stone with a black stone mantel and hearth-very mid-century. Daisy is a cutie and she really loves Gizmo. We had a cute Gizmo too. More Daisy is a real treat.

Funny story about the body in the fridge thing. Here in the UK I worked in social housing. One of my tenants did in fact stash the body of his dead mother in the fridge. I kept on the at the police to go into his property as I just knew something was up. I never imagined that he'd done that though!!
Thanks CeeCee! If it’s light pencil like a name or price, then sometimes I erase but not always. Part of the decision depends on how hard the person pressed down from writing. If it’s still going to be obvious that something was written on it, even after erasing it, then I would just keep it as is.

On Bing and Grondahl and Royal Copenhagen.. it really depends on the year.. Royal Copenhagen are better than B&G. The 1993 Royal Copenhagen plate you had in your hand can be sold for $50+.
