Man , few words : EXCELLENT presentation !!!! I know both Spektrum system and Radiomaster, all your presentation is clean and perfect !!! Safe ans As3x helps a lot and as you demonstrate you can switch OFF the Safe via a Switch.
Thank you very much for your very good clarification... I have been searching in vain for this information for a very long time. Now finally I was able to bind my eflight f15 with BNF and the integrated receiver AR636A with AS3X to my radiomaster TX16S. Only in the setup instead of "MULTI / DSM / X 11ms" I could only Select "MULTI/DSM/AUTO" and it worked with it.
There are very few videos that go thru both the binding process AND the actual setup of the channels on the transmitter using the RadioMaster TX16S. Nicely done!
Great video. I was having some trouble getting the safe switch assignment selection to work and then realized I had pre-set the rates less than 100% for ailerons. I returned the rate switch to 100% and everything worked like a charm. Thank you for a very clear presentation!
Terrific, thanks. Why it has to be so complicated is beyond me, probably so that Spektrum sell more transmitters which are very easy to bind to their receivers, but surely it doesn’t have to be so awkward to bind to other makes, like my glorious Radiomaster.
Great video. Worked on F-15 Eagle thanks for the video. Make sure for those of you who removed landing gear that it isn’t reversed. Didn’t notice because took landing gear off for grass landings since rudder was reversed couldn’t set toggle switch. Switched it and works as per the video.
A lot of people here they say that followed the instructions but didn’t work. It was the same for me. Today i finally made it with a Taranis X9D 2019 running EDGETX and 4-1 external module. For me it was needed to add the CH5 in the inputs too with the decided button assigned as source.

Thank you for this. There is so little information out there on this radio. It is an amazing radio but can be quite confusing if you're not familiar with the software.

Awesome video! One thing I found different in my new EF UMX Pitts that I programmed on my Radiomaster Tx16S is that I set up the SAFE "SF" switch but I did NOT do the sticks down and in method and SAFE still works perfectly without doing that. Maybe the new bind and fly receivers don't need it???? Also, it's so cool that the Radiomaster can "discover" the telemetry and I can callout any cell or all cells of the lipo so I always know the exact battery voltage at all times. Does the AR630 full range receiver do that too?

Thank you for the informative video. I have the BNF Eflite Focke Wulf and I also fly it with the radiomaster TX16S. But I am modifying it for an FPV cockpit and I wan to use a radiomaster (frsky) receiver with more channels. At this moment, a servo plug is conntected to the Bind/Prog/SRXL2 connector of the spektrum AR637TA receiver. This plug is going to a bind plug and an Aux Bec that goes to the ESC. Do you have an idea what to do with this connector when flying with the frsky receiver? Leave it unplugged?
This is a great tutorial to turn SAFE on and off! Any idea on how to set up a 3 way switch to select the SAFE's Begginer, Intermediate, and Advanced flight modes too?
I came here to try and find out the same thing. Hopefully someone that knows will post! Excellent video Props & Wheels! This is helpful, now just need to figure out if the 3 modes will work with this controller.

Followed the video instructions for my RadioMaster. All worked well except the elevator. Could only get less than a 16th of an inch up or down. The servo was weighted at 100 per cent. Any ideas?

@@PropsWheels Hi yes I watched a video on TH-cam! Now I can't find it. 😒 All the receivers in the BNF are programed and locked to the models they are sold with.

it would be very helpfully to me. Thanks 🙏
P.s.
i tried your way in this video but it didn’t work…..and now I understood why…because it is possible to do it only with your receiver AR636B from the AR636 family which is the only one today (discontinued) able to be programmed (activation of safe and as3x) with a pc…now today all the spektrum receivers can be programmed only through spektrum tx forward programming. Doing so they keep the safe select and as3x technology working only for spektrum ‘supporters’. (Spend your money and buy a spektrum transmitter).
Thank you anyway to post your video but please specify that is working only with that kind of receiver…🙏
Hi, it was difficult for me to configure the switch on my Tx16S as well, but I finally succeeded. My receiver is a factory installed AR636T for the eflite Conscendo Evo
@@doand1257 hi…with edgetx and the lua script it has been able to enter the foward programming mode of the receiver and i unlocked the safe option and i easly assigned the switch and now i have it working on my night radian 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 edgetx is the best!!!
@@Bombana01 could you give me the link for downloading this Lua and unlock process ? thank you
Sooo I like these vids, but it seems like no one tell which of the 3 tx16s they have. 2500, SLRS or 4 in 1. Only been flying planes for about six month and had to call a radio master dealer to find out. Only one will work with these DSM/X planes from what I was told. 4in1. Hopefully this helps some people. Keep on flying
always 4in1 if it involves spektrum
this model dont see on amazon damm
AS3X = Gyro
Safe = Control of flight envelope
You can unlock the receiver if you want
Hi John. You mean for turning off AS3X as well? If so, I am curious to hear more. Thank you!
@@PropsWheels Hi yes I watched a video on TH-cam! Now I can't find it. 😒 All the receivers in the BNF are programed and locked to the models they are sold with.
I've just did exactly what you said I have new Ar630 as3x safe it binds OK but it's not in as3x nothing moves when I move plane any ideas
After you bind it try unplugging the model, removing the bind plug, and when you plug it back it you may have to advance the throttle past 25% for a nano second and then let the model sit for 5 seconds or so. it will start jittering.
@@kaptkrunchfpv yes did that too but still only normal servo initiation but I heard u need to bind with spektrum tx first if rx is new then it opens rx up for other tx but I can't afford to just buy tx just to fire rx up
@@stevejamelskyj5761 his procedure is for bnf receivers that are sold with an eflite plane. Different procedure would apply to seperately purchased forward programming ar630.
👏👏👏…😜👌
Guess you not on here anymore
Only good for 4 channel aircraft.
Not true. My EDF’s have retracts and flaps..
please
Hi Michael. Not all SAFEs are created equal. I think on some Horizon Hobby models, you cannot turn off SAFE. Is your airplane "SAFE Select" like mine?
99% accuracy
You have no clue.
I agree..
What's the process if there's no bind plug? (on some smaller DSM BNF planes)
Very helpful. Thanks!
