To control the hitting direction, avoid using the mini-map. Instead, click on the left or right side of the full screen to adjust the direction. If you're using a mobile device or a computer with a touch screen, you can tap on the left or right side of the screen to control the hitting direction as well.
I’ve yet to test out the club data (requires a metallic sticker on the club shaft) and it will be interesting to see how the data compared to higher end launch monitors
Good video. I'm waiting for one to arive at the end of the month (currently sold out!) to finally get my garage sim up and running. Unlike my R10 it does shot shaping and putting and at the price I think it will be a game changer.
My first impressions are pretty good for the price! Works in a small space as well unlike the R10 and MLM2 Pro. I was playing around with hooks and slices earlier and it worked well!
Great Video, we got to use it yesterday it was spot on, but the biggest controversy wasn't it's capability to read the ball flight as good as GC3 and it does "so that will bring the price of the GC3 and all other camera LM's down". No not that the biggest controversy was does it actually need GSPro the graphics are Awesome and doesn't need a high end computer. I love GSPro but if people could make their own courses with the Square, where does that leave it all!!!!!. So much to dissect here with this. Also the penalties are very close to real golf we've been playing GSPro to long🤣and it's like putting on glass. Looking forward to the full review, get it out quick the next shipment to England has nearly sold out already.
I haven't done any accuracy comparison tests yet but overall I am impressed, especially with the physics as the ball lands on the greens - it looks and reacts very realistically! And yes the putting really is like glass 😂
I downloaded the iOS software (iPad/iphone) and found out you can change the aspect ratio (including 1:1); that’s pretty impressive and negates the need for a desktop computer or custom resolution.
looking forward to your review. looks like there finally is a contender to the og skytrak (which sits next to me). way less input lag and a connector for the square lm for gspro is also already out there.
@@hcpgolfsomething I overlooked? I see a downside at the square - the need for dotted balls. Besides the faster read they seem to be the same. Both read Ball speed, ball direction (including launch angle), backspin and side spin. If both are connected to gspro it should be equal, right ?
Maybe you can check if this device works with almost golf balls or foam balls? I understand that the result with such a ball will not be accurate. But the question is, will the device show the trajectory of the ball flight?
For the price, I’m impressed so far. Still got some more testing to do on it. The Eye Mini LITE is in a different league really but for a higher handicap golfer after a LM on a budget it could be a decent option!
@@hcpgolf I picked up an eye mini lite from your mates at GolfSwingSystems a month or so ago. Game changer compared to skytrak OG. But this looks interesting, especially at that price.
IMO, it's not very good and provides little data. Had the Square Golf LM for about a week and sent it back. Both the Garmin and Rapsodo are much better for the money. Fighting with the company for my refund. Buyer beware!

I will be trying this today - Square Golf told me this after posting the video!
Seems to be a common complaint with the software. Emailed them this. Hopefully they'll update it in the near future.
i just ordered the unit. Subscribed and liked. Thanks for the video mate.
Mine is coming later in the month myself. Can’t wait.
Best of luck! Seems alright for the price at the moment although I’ve still got some further testing to do
club and ball data for 700 is a steal and i got one coming, cant wait and updates will only make it better. its a no brainer really

@@hcpgolf love ya content i have a sim garage that was same size as your first room.

Conceded with unfamiliar bunker. I truly respect.
Mich, Springbok has made a connector to GsPro for the Square, its not completed 90% (no putting) but everthing else is working.
Yes I’ve seen Spike’s video on this. From what I can gather I believe a more official integration with GSPro might be on its way!
Ohhh wow... Springbok is a legend!

@@JustMeAP1 This is not true. You will not be paying a 66% import tax. The price of the item + shipping to US is ~$700.
@@JustMeAP1 I live in the US too, I didn't paid $700, I don't know where you are getting your numbers from.

There’s a number of features within this launch monitor that are more impressive than the OG SkyTrak

If it weren’t for the dotted ball, Square would probably have been priced at ~£2000, not £700
This is true
Did you try to mark other Balls with a black Pen to get better Spinrates?
No I don’t want black marks on my screen 😂

Wat do u use the software on? Is it on iPhone or iPad? Or u have a laptop?
Mainly desktop PC, but sometimes iPad 👍🏼
Is the full review coming still?
Yes, just finishing editing it 👍🏼⛳️
