I had a season ticket during Gary Speed's time at the club, traveling 500 miles per game. Totally appreciated him and felt he was fundamental in our team and was devastated when he left.

One of the worst opinions I’ve ever heard is Speed was under appreciated, he was literally one of Bobby’s blue chip players, he was captain on occasions and once he was moved into central midfield from wide left (where Dalglish wasted him) he was untouchable… in fact , one of our MOST appreciated players in modern history .
