I don't know, Coventry were good but Spurs started with a lot of inexperienced / backup players as well; it's not a huge shock that Spurs managed to ground out 2 goals after the manager subbed on more of his first-team players. Spurs aren't like City, they don't have a second team as good as everyone's first team.

Spurs goalkeeper, Forster, had a horrendous match by his inability to anticipate danger and his lack of athleticism. He looked slow and disengaged from the action. Timo Werner is frankly out of his depth. I can’t think why he wasn’t released in the summer transfer window as he rarely scores goals. Yes, Spurs came back with two late goals, but had they been playing a decent Premier league side, they would have been put to the sword. If Ange wants Spurs to do well in this competition, then he needs to select his players more carefully.
