    • @SlinkShady
      @SlinkShady 4 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      Except that it didn't. If you had bothered to read their manifesto you would've seen that it was aimed solely at the working class and lifting them up. You, instead, listened to the neoliberal biilionaire owned media and let them make you think that billionaires are your friends rather than a party that's whole manifesto was aimed at trying to equalise the 40 years of increasing neoliberal greed that has resulted in the widespread poverty we see in this country.

      @SlinkShady 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Darth Pepe You said basically that mostly everyone in the country, the billionaires and the working class, voted to remain, but Brexit won, Darth. I would suggest you failed maths for a start.
      "And as for media bias do you really want to go there lmfao?"
      You made a claim and failed to support it with anything. Did you not notice that? Oh that's right you tried the bait and switch and failed. Maybe you're not as clever as you want to pretend you are.
      "It's not like all my friends in retail at the time had emails from the CEO's of the companies asking them to vote Remain because of how important it was for the company."
      So that's about three people. Next.

    • @SlinkShady
      @SlinkShady 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Darth Pepe "No I clearly stated the majority of billionaires wanted us to remain whereas the majority of the working class wanted us to Leave. My maths skills are reasonable and obviously better than your reading skills thank you"
      My bad. I misread you, and I stand corrected.
      discoversociety.org/2019/07/03/brexit-working-class-revolt-or-middle-class-outlook/
      "So why did the majority of billionaires in the country want us to remain during the referendum whereas the majority of the working class wanted us to leave?
      You presented this as counter to my point that the Labour manifesto was aimed at mostly the working class as if that meant the Labour manifesto wasn't aimed mostly at the working class. If people don't vote for policies aimed at them does that mean the policies weren't aimed at them?
      Personally I think racism was the deciding factor in Brexit winning.
      "Ok, my evidence for the media being biased in favour of the left wing; they censor social media based on left wing politics (try posting anything against Islam, feminism, diversity quotas or for demographics etc)
      Who owns the big social media companies? Do you think Mark Zuckerbreg and his board of capitalists are left wing? How about Google who originally had the catchline "Do no evil" but recently was found to be creating tools for the Chinese government to suppress their, we are constantly informed by a supposedly left wing MSM (your claim) are a great example of evil communists, population with censorship.
      I've posted many times against Islam. Never been censored for it ever. In fact no one I have ever spoken to on FB, or YT, has been censored for critiquing Islam. But then I critique the actual religion and don't try to slur people because they are Muslim. Nor do I call for any kind of violent action towards them. I don't go around shouting "Muslim paedophiles" for example, like the supposedly misunderstood Mr Robinson who clearly is trying to incite racial hatred. Please don't use the tired attempt at a get out by saying Islam isn't a race. I never see any outrage at white Muslims. It's always brown Muslims that get the outrage.
      Critiquing feminism? Which stripe of feminism? I'm a feminist in the sense that all women should be treated equally to men in both opportunity and pay. I've never heard of anyone ever being censored for critiquing other forms of feminism or the type I believe in.
      Diversity quotas? I'm against them myself. But I'm left wing. Explain that?
      There is a fine line between critique which I find very important and outrage disguised as critique but is mostly just incitement.
      "Actually you're nearly right; it was 5 people, 5 people who worked for 3 different high street chains; Superdry, Topshop and Sports Direct. "
      Superdry, Mr Dunkerton is apparenly left wing and supported |Remain. Phillip Green - arch capitalist renowned for stealing millions legally - Brexiter. Mike Ashley - brexiter.
      "are you another one of these arrogant twats who think the working class are stupid and were misled and "lied to"?"
      The working class, as you corrected me on, had a majority vote for brexit. There is also a correlation with educational achievement whereby the less educated you were the more likely you voted for Brexit. I would suggest that educational achievement and class status have a strong correlation.
      As to lies about Brexit, are you claiming there were no lies bandied about by the Brexit campaign?

    • @SlinkShady
      @SlinkShady 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Darth Pepe I was banned from FB before the GE last December for constantly critiquing the Tories claims on their FB page. I hadn't contravened any of their other rules, but I was banned nonetheless. And not for a week. My profile was completely deleted.

    Immigration and multiculturalism could be seen as an attempt to undermine workers solidarity by the ruling class. I'm pretty sure Pakistani immigration was largely used to prop up a failing textile industry and break the back of the working class northerners who had quite a high level of unionisation and solidarity. So called "woke culture" often looks like a massive gaslighting excersise on behalf of employers to make whites (who are still the majority) quietly obedient and non-whites grateful suplicants. There is very little in the "new left/cultural left" program that would actually worry a wealthy capitalist. And ties of family and nation can actually provide quite a useful bulwark against the demands of capital. In my view the native working class basically get it from both ends - the liberal left go about deconstructing nation, family, gender, "whiteness" etc while the neo-liberals go about privatising everything and bombing foreigners.

    I think people should get away from talking about the past. I just watched Asher talk eloquently on the “Right Stuff” about her vision of communism and I believe she is right. Robots and new technology will take jobs away from the working class. So we will end up with a void which will need to filled. If we go along the route of capitalism we will leave a lot of the working class with no where to go and this will end up with a situation that could get out of control, and we all know that control is always at the heart of ever system. Now through the ages we have taxed the working class, who will the upper class now tax, will they tax the robots. I believe as she does that robots will take the place of the working class, we can either destroy the working class or share the resources of the planet with the people who have every right to share them. Now I am not sure how many people will go along with this thought process but sooner or later it will need to be debated.

    • @kyliejones8827
      @kyliejones8827 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would argue with your first premise. Jobs aren't taken away from powerless workers. It's up to the individual to notice how the work environment is evolving and then make a choice: remain and risk being made redundant, remain in the company and change role, which might involve retraining or leave and find another job. People are in control of their own decisions and choices. There's always somewhere to go. Victim mentality helps no one.

    Since people cannot comment on the "Good Morning Britain" video on the "National Anthem Debate," I'd like to mention it here.
    Ash Sarkar,
    the issue you are making about the national anthem seems very unreasonable. Your argument appears to be ideological, and political. The policy suggestion is not embarrassing, it would appear you are trying to enable individuals to be more indifferent about the national anthem.
    As part of growing up, children need to be reminded to do so. Children do not have a militant nor a fully-mentally disciplined mind to maintain such a practice as a norm.
    Also, as children exercising their personal freedom to be able to indulge in conversation, in play, etc., we (as adults, teachers, etc.) need to provide them guidance, navigation, support, wisdom, etc. to continue to remind children of the importance of the United Kingdom, as a Western and Democratic country, is the country that has welcomed people from other places, and the means to allow children to recognize that personal freedom to indulge, play, express, etc. is more open here, and not so rigid - that freedom has a healthy respect, requires a moderate and healthy structure, boundaries, limits.
    Do not dismantle that. You give the impression of using a very facetious, superficially and egotistically specious argument that reminding and imposing it is embarrassing.
    Continually reminding children is part of guidance and caring for them, not something to be treated as militant. There is no urgent nor subtly delicate need for you to debate it. When parents or friends are not really putting any value nor respect in recognizing some form of appreciation in where you live as of now, who will? Does it seem indoctrinating? Yes, it can appear that way. World War 1 and World War 2 efforts with the UK are fact and truth, not part of something indoctrinated.
    This appeal to dissuade or discourage the suggestion in being reminded is part of a distraction mechanism. Many of us see this as a political argument, and you are looking for people who share common dislikes you have to generate momentum to drive political discourse for political change. That, or you are looking for people who may feel more disenfranchised to not care about things in a similar way as you do for political purposes. You show a great deal of dislike and disconnect through politics. This has me curious on what actual values you have for fundamental values and/or humanity? Your argument appeals to deviate from the teaching and conditioning (yes, conditioning) of a person to at least delve into learning the full history of the national anthem (good, bad, ugly). Countries that have the level of civil discourse as they do in the west does show enlightenment, the types of enlightenment you don't see so much in other countries, countries that do provide more protection and values for its people and less favoritism compared to others. You definitely know for a fact you would be physically afflicted for the things you were arguing about in Non-Democratic states, especially so in Islamic states for arguing the things you argue.
    Freedom was not meant to be boundless without conditions. Freedom was not meant to be completely dismantled. There is no mention of any sort of fundamental values you appear to be advocating for. You are being a "snowflake" about it, for ulterior motives, and we see right through it. Many people learn just to brush off the given imperative (as you may choose to perceive it, and not a reminder) to sing the national anthem, and then continue on with the day. Try to give personal value and meaning to the national anthem through learning more and more on history and gain more knowledge instead of learning these "Dismantling Mechanisms" you are trying to implement in a country that allows you more freedom compared to many others.
    Remember, the UK DOES allow you to be able to express yourself, compared to other countries who would condone physical striking of individuals for expressing the things you are expressing. You may be seeing all these things from outside the box, and want to be able to recreate a state of personal freedom to be able to stray away from even thinking about the national anthem, and turn towards some sort of rogue narrative that can help you wield some form of political power. That is what people see, that is what I see.
    When you see only power, and not much on purpose or principle, then many things can appear to be........."embarrassing." What you are advocating for is grossly unreasonable. Conflating things between "singing the national anthem" and "education." Don't you think this form of creative thinking of yours has gone too far?
    Just stop scheming. Stop collaborating. You are trying to nitpick fine-combing with something comparable to a microscope, or even an electron microscope. Stop being a trouble maker anarchist. Your arguments are perverted. You are inventing and reinventing things with no real fundamental basis to leverage against people.
    Scrap the national anthem and ban it from sport??? NOT............A.............CHANCE! Sing the national anthem of your liking, and share that with us, if you're willing, or are you chicken?
    Your sense of fury in your arguments speaks endless volumes. You are power-hungry. Everyone needs to see that.

      National security is required. The United Kingdom learned from the mistakes of letting Nazi Germany invade other countries. There will not be any risking of allowing autocratic states to rally up allies to hurt & attack the freedom of the west. Why don't you take your own advice, if you actually know how. Try putting money into infrastructure, social programs, healthcare, etc instead of weapons. Show what it really means to truly care instead of trying to intimidate people into assimilation.

    • @danny156wc
      @danny156wc 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @White Rabbit,
      People from more monistic governments are more likely to fail to recognize that countries like the United Kingdom, USA, Canada have different political parties, and it would appear to be that a person like her seriously need to demonstrate a lot more investigative measures to learning the very heavy & complicated content of the history of England among others. These criticisms of ideology of hers need to be fought endlessly with greater knowledge, research, measures, etc. or our values will be rolled back to the point of being ebbed to being redefined by others,then we will be treated worse.
      A person like Ash Sarkar doesn't care about identifying exact individuals who may not respect her because she doesn't want to confront exact individuals because it may not help with lobbying for political interests. She wants to attack entire groups,& we are more like mere subjects of the group she perceives as she chooses. We can't let that happen.
