I just bought it and it’s fine but as lot of folks out there, I can’t download files to my iPhone. It work for my windows desktop, it goes into the downloaded folder. I don’t know about Android but on the IOS it just doesn’t download. On the EX2 I can see the files that I chose in the download section but nothing happen then. The only way I can’t get it on my iPhone is to send it by email and register it into my photo album. But we are in 2021 and I should be able to download them like I can with my Microsoft OneDrive.
Would be useful if the screenshots were visible for longer. Also your app screenshot shows the O3 version not the 05 - my Note 8 has a completely different UI.
Much better than paying a fortune for the relatively miserly amount of space Apple wants to charge. I think I’d like to create a “landing zone” for the Camera Roll to back up to, and then a separate one for public access. I catch a lot of screenshots and stuff, and my share targets don’t need to see every random frame or meme I capture. Also, is it okay to delete from Camera Roll once the backup has occurred? I wouldn’t want to lose something because I was cleaning out my phone, believing the photos to be safe.

And I had to do my set up in the Back-up tab on the dashboard and you seem to do it on the settings tab. In my iphone 4s settings however, I did turn off the "icloud" transfers.

Looks like the New OS of the My Cloud hardware has a Folder Sync feature. So anything in that folder is backed up. Any I idea if that works out of your network as well? So let's say I have this in my house but When I'm at my office desktop computer I would like for a fold to be sync as well?

If your phone is connected to the internet, you're assuming a degree of risk regardless. Most hacks that are out there are based on exploiting your itunes or google accounts in order to compromise your material. This represents higher risk, but I'm not convinced it's significantly higher risk.

l have been using a my cloud for about a year after watching your great vids i did my update today and the my cloud forgot my shares ! and no files were visable when i recreated the shares (exactly the same names) all my files were still there prob a glitch but one to watch for
It starts over at IMG_0001 and overwrites the older data in the file. This has to be a bug. I would of lost my earlier photos had I not had a backup. Once you have over 9999 photos taken from the camera, the WD app overwrites your data on the cloud. In other words, photos from earlier this year were overwritten with photos I took last week. No warning, nothing.

Ok another of your videos states you can connect directly WD mycloud with PC with which cable? where can I find that one??
it doesn't back up Videos, only photos on my Samsung s6.
i have checked with WD. perhaps you should try it before doing this video

Will the iPhone camera roll backup even if the phone is locked I start the sync but then when my phone auto locks after a few minutes the sync stops

Does your internet speed determine how fast your pictures back up to your My Cloud device?
I tried this but the upload kept stopping although I was on wifi.
