puma is actually about a real puma named bbo-rong who escaped from her enclosure in a daejeon zoo. she got about 4 hours of freedom when she was sh0t to d3ath by police. it was a pretty big deal, even sparking protests.

I still remember when the teasers for blue hour came out. They had individual teasers and the first 4 were chill acoustic ones where they were sitting on a tree or laying on the ground and walking on field then yeonjun's teaser dropped and he was a cowboy with full blown pink mullet, cowboy hat and rock music. My entire timeline was freaking out. Haaa.... good times

i thought it would already be in the comments by the time i finished watching, but Puma is actually based on a real life story of a puma that escaped from a zoo in South Korea. she got a couple of hours of freedom before eventually getting sh*t. it even triggered protest against zoos there. so yeah, it's a pretty sad song if you think about it

fun fact, puma was a reference to a real Korean puma who escaped the Daejeon zoo due to an unlocked cage, and just 4 hours later, she was shot to death. She kept running even after being hit with 2 tranquilizers going into nearby woods, and police killed it with live ammunition. Initial reports said that the Puma was captured alive, which wasn't true. It sparked outrage and many people boycotted the zoo for killing an endangered puma. thats why there are the references in about being trapped and watched through the internet.

At their MMA 2020 performance, they did Puma and Blue Hour, and the Blue Hour dance break is a full on zumba class. I hated that MMA dance break on first watch but it really grew on me.
Also their Golden Disc Awards performance of Can't You See Me? and Puma was fantastic. Puma had a dance break that was just awesome.
I love TXTs live stages, but the award show performances are always amazing.
