No, even though it was rumored predebut that he is ethnically Korean, he is actually Chinese but there were Korean minorities living where he grew up and he went to a bilingual school that thaught korean language and culture. He is definitely more familiar with korean culture compared to other foreign idols but that's it.
See, renjun is from a place in China where is near Korea, so they share some cultures to each other since they are very near that’s why there are certain people in there that have both cultures but still are Chinese :))
He is in the chaoxian ethnic group. People there are either ethnically Korean, part Korean or full Chinese, we don’t know but they still have some similar cultures to Korea since they are near. I don’t think he have ever said if he was ethnically korean so I don’t think we should guess.

Considering what we know of Renjun's childhood, this is likely (his grandmother is definitely ethnicly Korean from the way he describes her). However, Renjun has himself never spoken on this. He was born in raised in China near the North Korean border, that we do know, but he's never specified ethnicity. He probably feels he doesn't have to since it's not exactly relevant. Koreans consider anyone born outside of Korea be foreigners, even if they are ethnically Korean, and thus would see Renjun as a foreigner regardless of ethnicity. It's kinda like how we all know Ten is ethnically Chinese- I don't think Ten's really spoken about it, and since he's thai born and raised in Thailand, he might not consider his ancestry as relevant. Tl;dr: yeah, Renjun's probably Chaoxianzu but he considers himself Chinese above all else so we should do the same.

No I'm not a fan but I like mark the most because of his energy and rapping skills and that he is in every NCT unit like he don't get a rest like the others , and i like Lucas because his facial expressions are so good and HE's so handsome jaehyun too ,taeyong and ten too cuz they're one of the best idols out there , and Johnny because of his personality , and haechan's vocals are fapkoafiol

The blonde hair is Renjun in NCT Dream. He has the delicate vocals u we’re talking about. He’s from China but he’s ethnically Korean. He doesn’t have Chinese blood. He was only born & raised there.
No, even though it was rumored predebut that he is ethnically Korean, he is actually Chinese but there were Korean minorities living where he grew up and he went to a bilingual school that thaught korean language and culture. He is definitely more familiar with korean culture compared to other foreign idols but that's it.
See, renjun is from a place in China where is near Korea, so they share some cultures to each other since they are very near that’s why there are certain people in there that have both cultures but still are Chinese :))
He is in the chaoxian ethnic group. People there are either ethnically Korean, part Korean or full Chinese, we don’t know but they still have some similar cultures to Korea since they are near. I don’t think he have ever said if he was ethnically korean so I don’t think we should guess.
@@selenkocali7025 from my understanding, cfans and kfans consider Renjun to be Chaoxianzu, or having Korean ancestry. Considering what we know of Renjun's childhood, this is likely (his grandmother is definitely ethnicly Korean from the way he describes her). However, Renjun has himself never spoken on this. He was born in raised in China near the North Korean border, that we do know, but he's never specified ethnicity. He probably feels he doesn't have to since it's not exactly relevant. Koreans consider anyone born outside of Korea be foreigners, even if they are ethnically Korean, and thus would see Renjun as a foreigner regardless of ethnicity. It's kinda like how we all know Ten is ethnically Chinese- I don't think Ten's really spoken about it, and since he's thai born and raised in Thailand, he might not consider his ancestry as relevant.
Tl;dr: yeah, Renjun's probably Chaoxianzu but he considers himself Chinese above all else so we should do the same.
