  • Northwestern started Big Ten play with two big wins against Michigan State and Indiana. This video breaks down their offensive X's & O's from those games and how playing 5-Out with Pete Nance has affected their offensive statistics.

All youth teams should be using 5 out motion offense, don't restrict players to one position only, you have to be able to do everything on the court, if a kid is only playing in the post and doesn't grow past 6-2, he can't play at the next level, but if he learns those guard skills and gains the experience of playing on the wing, he'll be able to easily transition to the guard position

I agree, making kids learn all skills is the best way to do it, unless they are already or definitely gonna have the size for the post but it’s good to have ball skills then as well s

happened to me! post moves were great but not that helpful when you go from being tall to average.

At 5:14 the off ball action is not a twist, it is a curl cut. Twist would be into a screen.

Just beat OSU too. Now 3-0 in the conference and will likely be ranked on Monday.

Does anybody have any resources/videos that explains all the different actions possible? Or at least the most common. I love the sport but never played organized ball and would love to know more about the Xs and Os. I get some but not everything he uses in his videos (e.g. zoom, hammer, Princeton, etc.).

Is this a video on the team who went 7-13 in conference? They must not do this often.

Bill carmody brought princeton to northwestern a highly selective academic institution ie 5 out , collins rewarmed it because he does not have the elite athletic DEPTH to run some inside power to outside weighting.

I can understand basketball through here than years of watching commentators talking shit and getting paid. Yet, I know nothing to what they’re saying. The only time I enjoyed watching was Kevin Calabro who was the voice of super sonics back in the 90’s. He did a great job entertaining me about the Sonics how they play. But, today I nearly gave up watching analysis.
