When I did not see Burke mentioned in the 2022 Grammys in memorium l was heartbroken. Should have been included. Grammys are as rediculous as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. RIP Burke. I will always remember your music.

I went to the Six Ton Budgie Convention in Cardiff in 1995 and met Burke etc. During the convention, they played an outdoor video performance from Budgie in San Antonio which would probably have been from a year or 2 earlier. Rumour has it that Burke did not want the video to go into circulation because he was struggling with his vocals or something (Flu etc???). To me, it was gold dust and I didnt notice it. Hopefully one day, us die hards will be able to witness more videos from the archives. They seem to be popping up all over the place at the moment. Just look at the Midnight Special posts ;)

Back when here in San Antonio we had the best radio stations throwing out the greatest jams ! Not like the shit music they play today .You can still catch T-Bone on KSYM I believe and The Rock Vault on line plays a lot of Budgie . and it is out of New Braunfels TX .

In 1979 I literally don't know who was more underground in America between them and Priest? Priest made it big around 1982 or so and Budgie never did! Back in '79 no one knew who either of them were in the U.S. (except of course the handful of hardcore hard rockers which there were so few of)!
