@@vergil1155 It's a joke. To beat the game you have to develop some skills and strategy as well as learn patterns and explore to get things to help you. The whole "Years of Academy Training Wasted" part is a meme from Toy Story where Buzz Lightyear thinks he was genuinely trained to be some sort of space hero and when he finds out he isn't he says that line.

There is actually an easier way for corrupted monk.
When you enter circle around to the rear use 3 snap seeds, a bunch of firecrackers and/or fistful of ashes until its close enough for you to wall jump off this tall rock and get a stealth kill. Still works in recent patch.
an easier way and cheaper way is to just grab the mist raven tool, sneak up right behind the monk, and use it so you can get teleported into the air to get the deathblow

Nah, I knew most of the cheese and chose not to do it. Having the bosses down and playing them in the following runs makes the game sooo fun, it saddens me when people cheese monk cus the fight is actually really nice.

for the ape, this looks needlessly difficult, I'd rather learn the moveset than this, it's almost the same amount of effort. if you wanna cheese the ape, there is a specific window that you can use the continuously interrupt him and literally stunlock him to drain all his health in one go. that's a better cheese for the ape. but really every boss is weak to certain prosthetics, comebine that with a little bit of move set learning, ape is not really that bad

Just wanna say, these techniques are really great to combine with actual skill, like I used the Ichi double mortal blade technique for owl but was way more aggressive so it allowed me to beat him super fast, and I used the Emma cheese to get a fair shot at isshin, I think these strategies work really well to help make strategies, I use all no hit cheese strategies when I’m super low on health and don’t wanna die, it just works into how tha game is meant to be played, that’s why this video is so awesome

I think it's a great way to play after you've already beaten the game normally and going for other endings. When you're not playing on PC and can't make seperate save files, getting other endings means you have to play the game 4 times in total and when you have to fight the same bosses over and over, playing with cheese and experimenting is a good way not only to get to your goal faster but also to bring variety to the fights
I'm doing my 4th playthrough for the last ending and bosses aren't really a problem. Now all of them die first try without cheesing them
On 3rd playthrough i died once, and not even on a boss, before the final boss

Uh, you can backup/save scum your saves on console, too (not just PC), so that you don’t have to play it 4 times.

It took me around 6-7 hours to anaylize the patterns and defeat genichiro & way of tomoe but you just went flawless. Kudos.
lol it took me only about 4-5 tries, so is lady butterfly and i was thinking to myself this game is not that hard like people tell me it is, then i got rekt by snake eyes shirafuji, bitch literally took me 2 hrs to beat
@Anonymous Person yes i found way of tomoe easier first time too, but actually he's harder to cheese because his moves are a lot less predictable than genichiro ashina, for example when he jumps and attacks you in the first phase, you know he's definitely going for a thrust. second phase he might go for both, and the way of tomoe can do normal attacks after jump too

I love how the first two phases of Genichiro is just pure, smelly cheese while his Way of Tomoe phase isn't really a cheese as much as it just a strategy of being extremely aggressive.

The four phase isshin encounter tool me two hours of nonstop trying. But it's nice to know that mortal draw does that much damage. What I and probably many other players often forget is, that this game rewards an aggressive playstyle. Attack, deflect when necessary and attack again. Timing is everything. But honestly, it felt great to finally beat isshins ass. Same goes for the demon when you beat him without the cheese strat.

Guardian/Headless Ape: The combo he does from 8:55 to 9:00 can also be parried for a centipede pull with the spear.
For the illusion of corrupted monk you can also use seed, you make more damages

@Onigiri Otaku yeah tbh I found it a surprise, especially because the other souls games didn't win. However sekiro story , world design and characters more than enough justify its award as I find them to be nearly unparalleled in how well they are handled.
@Onigiri Otaku how does presenting the basics of the story outright negate any positives of said story? Its just a different presentation of the story it's not like everything is shown , in order to get the most out of it you'll need to read descriptions and make nuanced observations just like the souls games. It's ok if you don't prefer it but don't act as if it is a fact that it is worse. Its just different.

Respect for these insane strats, you figured out how to cheese every boss! At the same time, I would not reccomend cheesing a boss. On my first playthrough, I cheesed lady butterfly using the sidestep strategy, it wasn't too fun, and at the end I felt no satisfaction, and actually felt bad for doing it! It is 100x better to fight the bosses legit, it makes the experience more fun and gives wayy more satisfaction when you beat the boss

She is easy if you stay on her, took me a couple tries to get her. Only boss I had trouble with was the iron knight because I didn't know I had to kick him off. 🤣🤣
