I have the exact same bike and it goes 27 on a slight uphill and 32 in the other direction I’d have to say 28 is realistic. I was also annoyed by the upside down shifter but got used to it in about 20 minutes. Something I learned from a Juiced video on there website is from a standstill use the throttle with the peddle assist and it pushes it up to 1000 watts for a short time for very good exceleration.
The King of throwing shade on all other bikes. I am not a fan of this style of ebike, but I did own a Juiced Cross current which was a great bike. I have a Rad runner ( the only ebike not out of stock 2 months ago) and it's not perfect, but it's a fun bike. Good value.
Thanks for the interesting review. I look forward to seeing what happens when you install a new controller. I watched Citizen Cycle who put your Bolton Controller on his Rad Rover and was so pleased with the increase in performance. You be a good ebiker.
These bikes have interested me because of the way they look. If you were as old as I am, you would have experienced your formative bicycle years on a Schwinn Sting Ray! They were the closest thing to a motorcycle I could have. I peddled that thing all over creation, so I don’t see a problem with the seat setup. It’s just not what you are used to. The Brushed Silver looks awesome, but I’d want the Camp Scrambler model instead. I’m an off reader because of my old Sting Ray! Love your reviews!
Idk if i'd say thats good though cause i've managed 33 on my scorpion and that was on flat road with peddling. I've also noticed these bikes really do better on bike trails than normal roads although I reached that speed on a normal road.
Doobiedodabs Your gonna ruin the motor by fake peddling. What your doing is forcing the motor to use the most energy possible and its continuously stopping and starting up with the fake peddling.
That upside down shifter is something I'd expect from a low end ebike company, not Juiced. That twist shifter and the half twist throttle would be the first parts to hit the trash can.
As always my friend you take your time to make sure us newbies (ebikes for dummies lol)are never left out and no one left behind I was paralyzed from the waist down for sum years I can walk again but still have back pain but now I’m able to ride my bike with my kids and enjoy time with them due to these new ebikes and I love them fun to look at and learn about them thanks as always for your great knowledge and lessons much respect.
The Cruiser I had was 82#-750 W (1050) max with Fat Tires( called it Big Orange), fairly good price point.Your inflator is like mine( light enough to carry along) the cruiser was too heavy for me I sold it and have been searching for that perfect fit since, Love your explanations, best, keep up the good work.
I have the radrunner and one of these with the 19ah battery. Got the radrunner first and at first wasn't too impressed with the scrambler in comparison since I paid close to 50% more and since, though it's faster, it's just not as flexible a platform as the runner. Runner can be a banana seat or a utility bike (once you switch out the uncomfortable hybrid seat), works great for delivering with the bag rack and bag, all for 12 hundred. But then I got a delivery backpack and started working with the scrambler and, yep, that 52v with the 19ah sure grows on you going up the hilly neighborhoods in my city. Zippy AF. Trying to decide whether to sell one, which is tough cuz they're both a lot of fun and useful.
Thanx for the review, very informative. I own the Ripcurrent S in silver and I am starting to notice the motor slow down and increase, like you said it feels like someone is pressing the brakes lightly and then the power comes back. I use it for exercising since im retired. I didn't use the bike for more than 1000 miles for the first 2years because of suregeries. This year alone I have close 6000 miles on it and I have always ridden it in Eco mode to get the workout while pedaling. Last week I noticed that eco mode is almost like being in 0 mode where the motor cuts out, so 1 is now like Eco mode or feel and I do get the occasional slow down and then picks up. The bike has been good to me in performing wise.. I have replaced the Free Hub (at 800miles) and as of yesterday it looks like the Free hub needs to be replaced again(at 4900 miles). The brakes are not tektro and have no bleed port at the Levers, so I re4placed the rear after it developed a leak, got the rakes from TektroUSA. I also replaced a rear Brake motor cut off sensor. The worst part is the Chains, I'm constantly changing chains, and noticed yesterday that the cassette has a warped 8th Gear sprocket. The battery is a 52v/19.2Ah..fully charged I get around 68miles in Eco mode pedal assist here in Florida on a trail (Elkton to Palatka) that I do everyday with about 4-8mph wind. I recently wired in another battery (52v/175ah) for longer distance. Customer service rating from me would be a 80% rating so far. I am looking forward for your next video on the modifications of the bike and its controller, I would like to run both of my batteries at the same time (they are wired up in Parallel) but I was told by Juiced tech support the control in my bike will not accept 2 batteries and it might burn out. Thanx for your time for making this video...Stay Safe.
Another informative video, especially considering the fact that the Juice resembles the gas powered mini bike dad bought us kids in 1968! Definitely would consider this as a novelty retro model to be pedaled when battery runs down, in other words, “as a last resort”, lol.
I ended up buying the black one with an upgraded battery. Your video def helped me decide. Great video bro. I really think this is one of the best premade bikes in this style for the bang for its buck
I recently purchased a juiced bike crosscurrent s2 which has the same motor and battery but is a commuter bike where you can definitely pedal and you should. It's been an excellent bike for me. The fastest I've gone on the flats is 34 mph. It's true the bike struggled to go the throttle limit at 20 mph uphill if you don't pedal but I always pedal so I don't care. I never use the throttle only. Also I've had excellent luck with their customer support.
Glad I watched this video. I like 20" e bikes but I do not need or want a folding one. I've really been thinking about this Juiced e bike but after watching this video it really confirmed my negative thoughts on the seat and frame styling. I'll be staying with my decision to go with CSC motorcycles e-bike. I have a deposit on a pre-order for the next shipment due next month. It looks like a bike, pedals like a bike and no advertising sale gimmicks. I can't wait
I did the same with my grip shifter on a conversion. Was initially going to try a lever shifter as the upside down shifter bugged me too but after I did it I realized it worked well and now think it's a good solution.
I just bought camp version a week ago and have already installed the off-road controller. Let us know when you have a real controller made for this thing. I’ll be the first in line
How are camp tires holding up compared to these ones? I want the off road tired but are they better then the city as in durability? Do they go flat often is my real question
Often considered that style of bike. Appreciated your explanation of style verses use. Also the coverage of weight I thought was quite important when it comes to transporting.great and fair review.
unless you bought the offroad controller juiced sells throttle is limited to 20mph thats why u are feeling the surge.pedalling with pedal assist takes you to 28mph.offroad controller lets you throttle past 20mph on R mode only also
I agree with you, I really don't like how they do the pricing. However, I do like all the thought that goes into their bikes. It was fun to watch them test their packaging by throwing their boxed ebikes on the ground multiple times (Juiced YT channel) There are some other ebikes with hydraulic disc brakes standard at lower price points: Ride1Up 700 Series ($1500) and LMT'D ($1800). Makes a big difference.
I have the same bike. Agree about the fun factor but it does have that hesitation off the start and every time you near 20mph it has a cutoff feeling. Looking forward to your controller upgrade. Please sell plug and play versions at fair prices 🙏🏼
I enjoyed your review on this bike. There is so many manufacturers on e bikes it's difficult to make an informed decision without these reviews. What is your honest opinion about purchasing online verses from a bike shop?
Regarding the shifter, I totally agree with you. I own their hyperscorpion and they did the same thing. Thank you for addressing this. I was wondering why it was upside down.
Love your videos. I wonder if that stuttering you feel is do to vibration transfering to the brake lever? I'm waiting for my Hyper Scorpion to ship late next month and it has an electrical cutoff to the controller when the brake lever is pulled. If the switch is set too close road vibrations or wheel (out of balance) could cause the controller to think you've applied bake.?? Just a thought..
It was mentioned in a few replies to comments, but yes unfortunately the shifters are upside down BUT THEY ARE ON THE CORRECT SIDE. This upside down shifter is a product of the fact that it was designed for actually manual bicycles not ebikes with all their classes. A thumb throttle will destroy your thumbs over a long commute, but half twist is ideal. It was already surveyed in Micah's channel that half twist is the preferred throttle. That being said, you cannot put both the half throttle and a traditional twist shifter on the same side. From a motorcycling perspective, I always move my shifter upside down to the left side. This makes shifting and managing the power more fluid and wont clutter up the right handle bar. Also, you get use to it being on the left. Even with the trigger shifter I would want it on the left side for aforementioned. This is especially true for mid drive bikes.
I have the same Shimano shifter on my ebike conversion. I had to do the same thing and reverse the shifter because of the twist throttle. Putting the throttle on the left felt too unnatural and even though the shifter is upside down, I can still see the numbers. But, if I was paying good money for a manufactured production bike, that would be a big issue with me. Awesome review!
Good review and look forward to the upgrades or unlocking and if it improves the ride. definitely a moped stye bike ...I drove one throughout grad school times in the late 70's,early 80's.
Yes real 750w full size stator same gearing system. So, essentially the bigger 750w in a previous video about smaller RAD motors. On Juiced FB groups people have already swapped to 35-45 amp controllers to get the most from these. All nit picks aside the max speed in "R" mode (to hit it you have to move the pedals not really assist) is 27 for my experience. BUT, what this bike really shines at is pushing fatties like me. at or around 300# there is no signs of instability and the extra weight of the bike seems to translate to durability. I choose the MAG City Scrambler because if you ride 2up or are big spokes are a real and regular issue. Mags also use better bearings not open cup like the spoked model. I have a MQCON 45 amp adjustable, Bluetooth, sine controller on the way. Other use the KT as well at 35 amps both make the hub motor really go. Common mods on Scramblers are upgrading the rear 7 speed freewheel to a 11/34t and the front sprocket to a 56t so you can help your bike more at upwards of 20 mph increasing range. Sealed bearings on mags, new controller as mentioned and there's a guy in the FB groups that makes a custom rack and a seat guy for more custom toys. Some even add thier stock light into a cafe style bobber headlight enclosure. For me up until last week it's been a 100% got what I paid for bike, but the bi-pin power connection to the bike suffered from a known issue and due to inconsistent fit it got hot and the positive pin pushed into the battery. Juiced has agreed its covered will install a new improved part and is going to ship me a box made for HAZMAT shipping regulations. This is where we test their service response, 6 days so far, I expect 4 weeks lost total but perhaps 5 now. My assumption is they are very busy selling as all eBike distributors are right now. Any company that wants to continue to grow or sustain profits will thrive on service quality in the long run. Juiced has I think 10+ years now selling bikes. I will admit though I bought in April and if I was buying now Bolton has new bikes I really like compared to when I actually dropped my money. Would I buy Juiced again? Yes I think so, the scrambler at the time I picked it up was $1499. fair value then. I should also share my concept on eBikes that led me to the price range of 899-2k. Sub 2k bikes have 'compromises', and service or repairs are a real issue to expect until you budget 4K ish to get the local boutique store "new car dealer like service". SO, approach direct ship bikes in this range like a DIY hobby be ready and willing to use tools and or pay more later. Unless of course your in driving distance to BOLTON I suppose. ;) (open a store in MAINE) LOOKING AT JUICED? lddy.no/gpwl Also, see the following private FB groups. Look up that "Jim Dandy" Character I hear he's has a clue and helps people out. (He even digs BOLTON bikes I hear) Modded Juicedbikes Juiced Electric Bike Owners Juiced Bikes Scrambler Owners & Enthusiasts Juiced Bikes Scorpion Owners & Enthusiasts And of course, Bolton Ebikes
@@JasonStPierre Thank you for this - I bought a RIpcurrent - It was my 3rd choice as I was waiting for a couple of contracts to get paid and then for PUA to actually pay out in my state. The first two bikes I wanted to get sold out in that time so Juiced got my money. I am actually pretty happy with the bike. It's heavy, but feels so solid on the road that pedaling up to 36 miles an hour only makes me want the bike to be able to go faster. The huge tires and the good enough front suspension let me catch about 3 feet of air at a certain spot in a local park and when I land it is completely in control and only shakes my phone a little bit in it's holder. I really love riding it - I also have a carbon Specialized Diverge that I was absolutely heads over heels about when riding, but after riding the up position fat bike It's a little bit of a chore to get used to going back to the down position and controlling the sketchiness that a road/gravel bike is inherently designed with in order to provide stiffness yet great handling. I actually get just as good, if not more of a work out on the Ripcurrent as I do the Diverge cause getting up to 30+ mph means pedaling - not fake pedaling either - the controller needs to feel the torque to continue to increase the speed. I am stoked that you provided the information I needed to take this bike to the next level... the slow take off is annoying, you can feel it being limited and then at the top end when not in race mode - like stated in the video - isn't smooth - it chatters as it switches the power on and off to the motor repeatedly and I don't know for sure but just imagine that can't be good for the electronics switching on and off like that. Thank you again!
@@garyjames9354 Yeah, I have a 2018 RadRover with just over 2000 Miles on it, and it is still strong. I am going to upgrade the motor and controller for more speed in traffic situations, and well, more speed!
I'm waiting on my Hyper Scorpion. I do like the Scrambler because it reminds me of my first bike which was a '78 Raleigh MX. That was a heavy bike for a little kid to learn.
I almost bought one of these just because it was brushed aluminum. I've got an old Specialized with a polished aluminum frame and would honestly do the labor to make this bike match the old girl.
I saw a review of the hyper scrambler where someone had received a frame that was rusting, so I'm not sure if "brushed aluminum" is a statement to the materials used or if it's just the paint style/color. Would have to check the website to be sure the frame is actually aluminum
Just wanted to say after spending $2k on a very powerful Ariel Rider Kepler (step-thru - Not!), I ended up selling it because it was just too big. It has everything you dream about: 1k motor, 52v battery, etc. It was so strong - could race up any long steep hill - amazing bike for the money, BUT, you have to be 5'6-1/2" minimum to ride the bike (I'm 5'3"). So I then bought a RAD Rover 6 Plus. I feel much safer, easy to get on/off, can escape in a fall, etc. BUT, it's a dog. I test rode it for 2 hours on hills yesterday, doing every combination of assist 2-3, gear 2-3, then throttle....by the time the throttle kicks in, the bike would have fallen over, so you have to brake, stop..... I then tried throttle only, and again, makes it 1/3 way up a fairly steep hill, then dogs out. I was hoping to commute to work, but I have to get over a large hill (White Hill in Fairfax, CA). This won't do it :-( So now I am extremely bummed. Not sure what to do. Order the NEW Juiced RipCurrent S Step-Through bike??? or try and upgrade this somehow. Controller seems to be hidden inside the frame, as is part of the gutless battery.
HEY I LOVE , LOVE , LOVE, THE HONEST REVIEW'S!! Would you PLEASE do a review on the Himiway Electric bike. They are a fairly new company that seems to have a solid bike. They have the 2.0 version now and it has a lot of good things on it for the money. I would LOVE to see you review one !!!! They look very solid and have a 2 year warranty on them and lifetime on the frame. They are 48V, 17.5ah, 750 watt motor, just manual disk, BUT I THINK BETTER..hydrologic disks can be dangerous if not properly maintained. And they claim up to 60 miles on petal assist level 1. Petal assist is 1-5 and you can get into the computer of the controls to up the top speed to like 32MPH? Idk. They look really nice. And you get a real human that can answer questions every time you call. Ok thanks for listening, and i LOVE YOUR REVIEWS!!!!!
Morning Mr Bolton I've always had my front brake on the right side like a motorbike, I'm in Australia and I can't remember a front brake on the left. Love your vids keep it up cheers.
Hey, I have a Think mid drive electric bike from around 2003 and it has a rear derailleur twist shifter on the left side and twist throttle on the right that adjusts the boost offered by the torque sensing drive. Never though much about the odd shifter placement.
I got the juice scrambler for $999 when it came out Was when the production was first being made.I sold it for $1600 I was never happy with the seat height. It should be lower like the super 73.I don't really care about fat tire bikes. The scorpion looks pretty kool.Nice review
I have a Juiced Bikes Ripcurrent S, in fact I have the 5th one ever made, and after some intital (exasperating) issues that needed straightening out from shipping damage to minor factory assembly defects, I couldn't be happier with this bike. It is truly an amazing machine- not to take away from anything from Kyle's offerings in this competitive arena of fast-as-hell fat ebikes. I was initially worried about the ECU being too small amp-wise and connectors that seemed undersized, but all have been put to the test several times with no problems whatsoever. Once all was straightened out, I started modifying the RCS to my needs, from a suspension seatpost, adjustable longer bar stem and a Whipperman Connex ebike drive chain, and now I've recently installed a Magura front hydraulic 4-piston ebike brake and rotor. The list goes on and the bike keeps getting better and better. The 52v optional bike charger they offer is the Grin Satiatior which is undoubtedly one of the best programmable chargers on the market, but it is not for the tech unsavy. To summerize Juiced Bikes, IMO, I would say that, unlike Rad Power Bikes and the plethora of others on the market, Juiced is an "open palette". While it's one downfall is you cannot update the ECU over computer lines, It's LCD has more information than you could ask for. From watt and amp hours, ECU temperature and factual dual battery displays, the bike is for the rider that wants to be integral with their bike. It's a great riding experience for those who want to have a clear understanding where their bike stands electrically at any moment. Even the features are awesome, from Cruise Control, Walk Mode and TAB (Throttle Assist Boost) function to being able to lock out certain features. There are 6 (actually 5) assist levels as the 1st one is 0- no assist at all, (but the throttle is active). ECO is next which simply makes the weight of the bike void. 1-3 gives progressively more assist where 3 is more assist than you'll prolly need. Then there is S for Sport which is stupid fast, THEN there is R for Race. This is way, way, way over the top. The air spring fork sorta sucks, but it works well enough. Juiced calls this bike an "SUB" (Sport Utility Bike) which is well suited. It's great on pavement and loose gravel but it is not a downhill bike of any kind. It is the type of bike you work on, not pay to have someone else work on, so a good bike stand is highly suggested.
Thank you for the review. I have the same bike in black. I have the off road controller kit installed. Honestly did not see a huge difference. I like this bike for cruising as you mentioned. But not for any aggressive riding. Too heavy and even with the front suspension fork, the back end hits too hard. But I do like the bike enough to spend money on modifying, so I will be curious to see your next video on this bike. And maybe you will come up with some more ideas for this bike. And hopefully it will be something that Bolton will be selling. Nothing worse than seeing a cool new mod but the parts being hard to source. Here is one idea, I would love to upgrade these stock Tecktro brakes to your Juintech anodized brake kit but with the correct brake sensor adaptors. Thanks again for the review!!!!
I own the Juiced City Scrambler in brushed Aluminum as well. The trick to getting mine to 28mph is race mode and I have to be peddling even if it's just to move the pedals around. I think it has to do with the Cadence sensor.
Not having ever had an EBike, but totally in the market for one, please explain to me the use of the regular bicycle gears and the power mode of the electric motor. If you want high speeds (and set the power to "Race") do you need to manually change the bike gears, or does the motor change the gears for you? I do need an e-bikee as I'm too old/sick/fat to just ride a regular bike so an e-bike seems to be what I need knowing I can peddle, but have assistance when encountering hills (or when I'm too tired to get all the way home).
I believe it's just for the sake of legality: "This thing can run on pedals, they're not comfortable to pedal in, but it CAN run on pedals; therefore, it's an electric BICYCLE, not an electric moped." You do need to manually shift gears but gearing doesn't affect speed when you're in full electric mode since the motor IS inside the hub of the rear wheel and not a separate unit that drives the chain in the drivetrain (as you know, the wheel can spin at a higher rate/independent of the movement of the gears in any conventional bike). It's akin to somebody spinning your rear wheel for you rather than somebody spinning the chain to drive the wheel (like in motorcycles and mid-hub e-bikes).
Xiu Xiu so if you are in full electric mode and going 20mph+, but do not change the gears of the bicycle, then if you turn the peddles, they will just spin (like when you coast down a hill on a regular bike), correct?
How about a review of the Himiway Cruiser. I have one on order before I ever discovered Your store, channel etc. Boy I'd like You to make a custom order for Me sometime. Great info buddy !!
I really like your review of the Juiced City Scrambler, I agree on the seat configuration for that style bike, but all in all, it doesn't seem to be such a terrible ebike. Like you, I am not a big fan of an upside down shifter, they should have put a thumb throttle on it and put the shifter, rightside up on the right. But that's my opinion. Thanks again, great review video. 🖖😎
New to the E bike scene, subbed your channel and been watching your videos, quick question, does that dial on the fork that says ABS mean anti lock breaking or ABS plastic type?
i have a Juiced Rip Current S. Love the bike. But very interested in your controller upgrade. I have a 58V 19.2 AMP battery. This Model (City Scrambler) is really a electric moped. They sell it telling you that! Juiced Customer Service is a little slow to initially respond, but very good once they do. I've had a battery lock issue and a peddle issue and they resolved both quick and easy.
The Addmotor Motan M66 R7 is even heavier. However, the thing runs more like a moped than a bike. Surprising how much power you can dump into the motor from the throttle.
On a production e-bike you're absolutely right about the upside down shifter. That said, I have that shifter on 1 of my DIY e-bikes and might do that to put a throttle on the right side (it's set up as class 1 now). How's that Velo project (with solar panels to recharge)? I joked about a perpetual motion machine but am enthusiastic about the project.
Bought a bike from juiced a while and their customer service really sucked, as a matter of fact the owner wasn't very cooperative. I bought an ocean current which they no longer carry and I couldn't get an upgrade to a LCD display that I was promised would be available for the bike. I then tried to get an upgrade to the controller, never succeeded. The bike is capable of a lot better performance but I just couldn't get any cooperation. They will not hesitate to tell you what you want to hear. Wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Still have the bike and would be very interested in an upgrade to the controller. It has the bafang hub motor and torque sensor which is the best part of the bike but I would like a controller with at least 30 amps that is compatible with the torque sensor. I don't care if it fits in the frame where the existing controller is, I could make it work but I just need it to be compatible with the existing wiring harness. If you could help me out I'm willing to pay whatever it costs I just refuse to deal with juiced. Let me know if you can help me out.
Can you answer a question for me? How do I get your rad upgrade controller to display my speed when not pedaling? Seems to go to zero when you use the throttle without pedaling.
Thanks for pointing out the upside down shifter. Great review! Definitely not my kind of bike because the seat isn’t adjustable. It’s also heavier, in my opinion, than my Radrunner.
Leave a comment with a guess as to which color of Juiced Electric Bike I bought!
Blue
Crap black was wrong
Good guess
That's a good color choice
Red
Very fair review.! I am looking forward to seeing the upgraded controller video. I know there is a lot of interest for that.
@Chris Mccullough it’s still running fine after about 800 miles
Thanks for wearing a microphone, the audio is much more clear and consistent in this video!
Thank you for helping us all learn about such an interesting subject!
I have to say, I love my Juiced City Scrambler. It definitely goes 28 mph in R mode. I've been up to 30.2 mph when peddling as hard as I can.
Idk if i'd say thats good though cause i've managed 33 on my scorpion and that was on flat road with peddling. I've also noticed these bikes really do better on bike trails than normal roads although I reached that speed on a normal road.
Lol, Ive seen more than that on my EMTB and the assistance cuts out at 16mph.
I've gone 36 mp with a passenger on my city scrambler. No throttle upgrade nothing just fake peddling, max tire pressure nd, smooth CA bike lane lol.
Doobiedodabs Your gonna ruin the motor by fake peddling. What your doing is forcing the motor to use the most energy possible and its continuously stopping and starting up with the fake peddling.
Ohh that's good to know. Thanks!
Great Review! I really like the look of this bike. It reminds me of the old Honda Trail 70's.
You really inspire me. I enjoy all of your info. I have all your videos 2 times or mote
I like the fact you bought one anyway. And can learn from there product. And just sale it or give it away later! Bravo
I love the brushed look of that frame. I think you would not go wrong making one of your bikes in that brushed look.
I built my last one with Ross aluminum MTB stripped the paint and polished the frame. Love that look!
I needed to hear your height & inseam when you were describing bike Size & Standover.
I had my old cruiser bike set up with the 7 speed Revo shifter on the left and I loved it.
Thanks for the review. Had seen alot of adds for this, but no reviews. Appreciate your input
Zippy AF. Trying to decide whether to sell one, which is tough cuz they're both a lot of fun and useful.
what a brilliant review ....clear concise and all the information and detail that you would need when considering buying options. Excellent.
Does changing the wheel size on the display make it go faster? Like basically lying to the system
I look forward to seeing you juice up a Juiced ebike!
Super informative review and very transparent about the pros and cons! Subscribed!
Another informative video, especially considering the fact that the Juice resembles the gas powered mini bike dad bought us kids in 1968! Definitely would consider this as a novelty retro model to be pedaled when battery runs down, in other words, “as a last resort”, lol.
I'm sold! I'm getting Juiced! Thanks for the review!
I ended up buying the black one with an upgraded battery. Your video def helped me decide. Great video bro. I really think this is one of the best premade bikes in this style for the bang for its buck
Another honest and great review. Always helps to be an informed consumer.
New subscriber. I love you reviews. They seem to be honest. And the info I want to know.
This bike looks like a great run around.
Another good review, I thought your comments were well thought out. Keep doing these reviews of other bikes, thanks.
Love your informative videos and glad your reviewing the scrambler style.
It was fun to watch them test their packaging by throwing their boxed ebikes on the ground multiple times (Juiced YT channel)
There are some other ebikes with hydraulic disc brakes standard at lower price points: Ride1Up 700 Series ($1500) and LMT'D ($1800). Makes a big difference.
Great video.im still waiting on my rad runner plus to come in sometime this month. Watching your vids help the painful wait lol
I have the same bike. Agree about the fun factor but it does have that hesitation off the start and every time you near 20mph it has a cutoff feeling. Looking forward to your controller upgrade. Please sell plug and play versions at fair prices 🙏🏼
Great review 👍.
Very honest point of view. I always wondered about that seating position for peddling
I enjoyed your review on this bike. There is so many manufacturers on e bikes it's difficult to make an informed decision without these reviews. What is your honest opinion about purchasing online verses from a bike shop?
The shops in my area are more expensive and only have 250 wat motors. Juiced offers 750 lol
Regarding the shifter, I totally agree with you. I own their hyperscorpion and they did the same thing. Thank you for addressing this. I was wondering why it was upside down.
I think they are trying to make it like a motorcycle... The left lever is the clutch on motorcycles
Just a thought..
you have inspired me to create my own channel. I shall call it Tolton Ebikes
Great...honest review, which is what we expect from Kyle!
There is nothing better than a Bolton bike
Great comparisons and honest critiques in this video my brotha!
Wow I love your camera work and edits!
Very good demo well put across easy to understand .brill
I have the same Shimano shifter on my ebike conversion. I had to do the same thing and reverse the shifter because of the twist throttle. Putting the throttle on the left felt too unnatural and even though the shifter is upside down, I can still see the numbers. But, if I was paying good money for a manufactured production bike, that would be a big issue with me. Awesome review!
Thanks for this review! I’m looking forward to when you do a bit of modifications to upgrade this bike!
Good review and look forward to the upgrades or unlocking and if it improves the ride. definitely a moped stye bike ...I drove one throughout grad school times in the late 70's,early 80's.
So is it actually a 750w or are they pulling the Rad Runner scam?
Unless of course your in driving distance to BOLTON I suppose. ;)

@@garyjames9354 I wouldn't know I bought a bbshd thousand watt mid drive
@@garyjames9354 Yeah, I have a 2018 RadRover with just over 2000 Miles on it, and it is still strong. I am going to upgrade the motor and controller for more speed in traffic situations, and well, more speed!
@@williamsaloka9043 how much will that set you back and which parts, please. have a rad mini i assume is 500, would like 750??
Will the controller work with the CCX model? Will it work with the torque sensor?
I'm waiting on my Hyper Scorpion. I do like the Scrambler because it reminds me of my first bike which was a '78 Raleigh MX. That was a heavy bike for a little kid to learn.
I have the Hyper Scorpion. Its a nice one. Goes over 30 mph in race mode.
I have a Bagi bike B20 with 500 watt motor 48 v 13 ah would that controller work on this bike as I am looking for a little more speed plus more range
I can see this being a problem for someone who owns this and rides a motorcycle.
The clutch goes on the left at least here in the US.
Hey, I have a Think mid drive electric bike from around 2003 and it has a rear derailleur twist shifter on the left side and twist throttle on the right that adjusts the boost offered by the torque sensing drive. Never though much about the odd shifter placement.
Thanks for the review. Considering a Bolton!
Thought I was sold on this over the hyper scrambler until you mentioned the shudder. Dang it ! Want a e bike but seems most have problems
But its not a problem. This guy is way over dramatizing it. The shudder is not noticeable. I have 3 ebikes and the Juiced is the smoothest.
Brush Aluminum, I wish I can win this bike, I retired after 35 Pa. transportation, would be a great gift. Love the bike.
Speedy Delivery just what I needed.
Finally now you got a real ebike... bad ass one..
What do you think a good bike would be to go cruising around the neighborhood for exercise and also for bike trails?
I wonder if this is a true full fat750 or if they are just using the over volted 500w like some other brands?
Hi,are you ever going to have or sell the upgrade controller kit.thanks
Love for you to do a review of the RipCurrent S
Yes-including How Dry it’s Fenders keep you on sopped roads.
Brushed Aluminum - Nice Bike - I just got into this as I need to loose weight and the PAS will work well with my workout
I own the Juiced City Scrambler in brushed Aluminum as well. The trick to getting mine to 28mph is race mode and I have to be peddling even if it's just to move the pedals around. I think it has to do with the Cadence sensor.
Very helpful unbiased review!
I believe it's just for the sake of legality: "This thing can run on pedals, they're not comfortable to pedal in, but it CAN run on pedals; therefore, it's an electric BICYCLE, not an electric moped."
You do need to manually shift gears but gearing doesn't affect speed when you're in full electric mode since the motor IS inside the hub of the rear wheel and not a separate unit that drives the chain in the drivetrain (as you know, the wheel can spin at a higher rate/independent of the movement of the gears in any conventional bike).
@@jannezack Yes, correct.
I have gotten a RIZE BLADE and it is almost the same as this bike with the same power problem, would your upgrade work on my bike as well
Another completely honest review, as always......
Beautiful fit and finish
Love your channel and all the content you provided.
I was wondering what do you think about the ireeka prime ebike?
Thanks.
i have a Juiced Rip Current S.
Is this bike comparable to the Ariel D-Class? Is the seat just as uncomfortable?
that a nice bike i would like to try a bike with a seat like this.
It's a great bike!
I love the color of this bike.....great review
I wonder if your controller will help my issues with the hyper scrambler?
im a fan your vids are fair and honest and fun
Funky looking bike,...I actually like it. Great review. 👍
Can you answer a question for me? How do I get your rad upgrade controller to display my speed when not pedaling? Seems to go to zero when you use the throttle without pedaling.
Change your p2 setting.
Bolton Ebikes thank you
Thanks for pointing out the upside down shifter. Great review! Definitely not my kind of bike because the seat isn’t adjustable. It’s also heavier, in my opinion, than my Radrunner.
Thanks for watching!
