Congratulations on your purchase she is beautiful. Thank you for all your wonderful informative videos. I appreciate your videos being short and right to the point with the pauses and arrows. Keep up the great work and keep them coming. Thank you again.
What a nice and well kept boat. I have no doubt that you will make it even better in the months ahead. Keep up the good work on both the boat and the videos.
You're amazing! I hope one day learn to sail and to have my on sailboat, like you guys. Your job to take care of them are so meticulous, I'm really impressed. Good luck and God bless you.

she’s a beauty…can’t wait to see what you do with her…really fine yacht that will be much improved and ship shape after you put your mitts on her… congrats!
A beautiful Swedish built boat. I hope you get a chance to sail Sweden. My wife and I spent 2018 / 2019 sailing the West & East coasts of Sweden in our HR. The sailing areas are magnificent and the people were very nice. Going back in June 24' and can't wait. Love the boat and think you made a good choice.
Looking forward to your new adventure ! Congratulations on purchasing such a lovely boat. I hope you will continue with the odd video or two on STARWHITE the most beautiful boat on the internet. All the best from landlocked and frozen Alberta, Canada.
Congrats! Beautiful boat. I bought a Najad 360 back in September. It's currently in Greece for a refit. Looking forward to following your future adventures and projects. I have the same problem with the second boat on the West Coast. Hah. Fair winds.
@@Westsail28 Any updates coming on the Najad 390, since Nov '23? I'm looking at Najad's in Europe to eventually sail to Australia. Your videos are my favourites!
@@MalOrchard Hi, Westsail 28 "Starwhite" videos #47 and #50 are about "Albatross" our Najad 390. At the suggestion of others I have also started another TH-cam channel just for "Albatross". "Finding Albatross a Najad 390". I will be releasing a fourth video about "Albatross" later this week.
Congratulations on the Najad! -- QUESTION -- We were just watching a woman named Socrates from Victoria BC who did a circumnavigation on one of those. Looks great! Kinda gives off a Hallberg Rassy vibe and we love those ones. Have you seen this one called "Victory too 400" on youtube? Looks so awesome and for some reason it has a blue stripe which he must have done custom. Just stunning older sailboat but looks perfect.
@@Westsail28 ..interesting.. I had initially thought tha the had the stripe repainted, Looks great especially with that whitish teak color. Just so nice all together.
Thanks for the offer, we've had several people say they would like to crew to the Carribean! We have not made any decisions on where we will take the boat. Maybe to the MED, maybe spend a year cruising the Canary Islands, maybe to the Carribean. I'll put you on the list for if we decide to head West.
I do not think you can go wrong with any of those plans! Would be glad to help out if the time comes. Thanks for the consideration. As I've commented before, I am copying Starwhite's companionway hatch design. More light!@@Westsail28
Nice boat! I’m currently looking for a 391 or/and mk2 just to get the sugar scoop at the stern. I’d be interested in getting your views on that… Was easy dingy access a big concern of yours? Happy sailing! /peter
Thank you for your question. With the high freeboard of this boat, dinghy and dock access was a concern for us. I am VERY pleased that she has both a S/S stern platform and a S/S bowsprit with boarding ladders on each. I prefer a S/S stern platform over a sugar scoop as it offers more robust protection than fiberglass and gelcoat when stern tied to quays and docks. The stern platform also protects our Hydrovane from dinghy and docking damage.
@@Westsail28 Thx! Good points of view. I guess it’s always a compromise whatever you choose. 🤨 Enjoy your beautiful boat and best wishes from Sweden where these boats are actually made!
Doesn't matter where you are in the world, buying a Najad is ALWAYS the correct move.
Lovely boat, and I especially like the deep cockpit and flat deck. This boat looks perfect for solo sailing.
Thank you! We will be posting updates as we get to know her better.
She is a magnificent ship Kevin, and there is no doubt that you will make her an even better one! Congratulations!!
Thanks for the complement Jay! "Starwhite" says hello too!
Bountiful woodwork on these yachts & Sail well

Sweet job so far. Stay with it
The Najad 390 is one of my favourite yachts, such a great build quality and layout. Fair winds. Andy UK

At least you salvaged some "very colourful" fender lines 😅
Useful. Thanks.

We'll be doing some refitting during this Winter and will be posting updates in the Spring.

Hint when buying small exposed things like paddle wheel always get two because you are bound to need one

I understand that Dark Red is Najad's company color, but they will make boats with other colors.

That is a great boat, does this mean you have a boat for sale?
For now we have a fleet. We sail Starwhite locally and keep Albatross moored in the Canary Islands.
