This exquisite layout took decades to complete, we estimate that it must have taken well over a few thousand hours to complete. The layout is truly magnificent and functional. This layout represents a typical Märklin layout which meant a lot of track and many moving trains. We have so much fun running this layout that sometimes we can lose an entire afternoon of work. The wiring, bench work, scenery, track design, electronics and every aspect of the layout was professionally built.

There are several components to diy railroad layouts. One resource I found that successfully combines these is the Jareks Hobby Club (check it out on google) definately the no.1 resource i've seen. look at all the amazing information .

I would love to have this HO layout, but I'm not into Marklin 3 rail. I however do like the idea of having running water on train layouts.
