    Si le prix Nobel existait pour la conception de cette maquette sublime ferroviaire... je la donnerai à ce groupe d'artistes qui ont fait tout les travaux.

    I personally have met the owner sometime in mid 2008 , these are awesome people. He gave me a few
    catalogs for free ! Wow who else would do that when they sell for $12 , $15 , $20 each ! I was in my mid 20s
    at the time , and my TT scale collection was just a fraction of what I have today. Anyways , these are great
    people.

    This magnificent to say the least. I had an extensive layout but my track layout was thrown away without my consent. Still have all my rolling stock though. Would love to make a layout again but track and transformers are few answers far between in south africa.

    How much did he have to pay for the entire layout? More than one million euros?

    • @Rimrock300
      @Rimrock300 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just did discovert his place myself, and would like to go visit sometime. It's naturally a secret, but about 1 million for the whole layout including materials and the trains is likely a fair estimate. But would not be surpriced if we are talking 1-2 million. Porsche said in a interview that the cost for the whole museum was in the 'lower XX million euro' range, Likely 10-15 million.

    Marklin?? Sounds funny when people pronounce it totally wrong.But great vid.

    • @GerbenWijnja
      @GerbenWijnja 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Jerry Berglund He pronounces 'Hans' correctly, so I'm assuming he ignores the " on the a. How to pronounce it correctly? Just watch one or two German Märklin videos an you will never forget. :-)
      [update] I wrote the above before I had watched the rest of this video. And at 1:15 a real German guy says Märklin. That should be enough. But for the sake of completeness, the ä in Märklin should be pronounced as the first e in where. The first 'e' in 'where' is a bit long. It's ok if you make the ä in Märklin long as well, but if you want to keep it a bit shorter then everyone will understand that as well. Nevertheless, this is great video, so thank you!
      By the way, you may notice that the German dude at 1:15 also pronounces the i in Märklin as the 'ee' in Weener. I'm not German (I'm Dutch) but in my opinion that's optional. Märklin with the ä in 'where' and the i as in 'win' would be ok with me.
